Holy fuck, is that enough calories/fat… or am i going too low?

I feel full as fuck on all that food. 100g of plain chicken is becoming a “filling” meal. Should i be worried that im eating too little or is this ok?

all that food is only 1700 cals?
jbird643 wrote:

yea…

200g plain chicken, 4 shakes, 1 tin of tuna, 2 tblspoons of mayo. 4 medium boiled eggs.

the shakes, chicken and tuna i have inputted the labels to fitday myself. the eggs and mayo are fitdays own calculations

Scott

In that case, I’d say 1700 is o.k., provided you don’t keep it up for too long. The pics this weekend will probably be a better indication of your energy requirements.

Newdamage knows way more than me on this subject (look at his avatar, the guy is ripped and has a lot of LBM), so ND what do you think about Scott’s caloric intake? For that matter, Intersweat got down to 8% BF in 4 months, so what do you think about it?

I played for N.Ireland snooker team. Played pool semi-professionally in the late 80’s early 90’s. You sure you still fancy it… To be honest haven’t played seriously in a few years.

;o)

I like the look of it. I think Scott has genuinely got his diet/training head on. The low carbs should work though the cals are really on the low side for a big lad with so much training.

Scott… I have faith that you will suss all of this out very soon. As others have said you could/should have made more progress by now probably but I see big improvements over the next few weeks if you keep showing this attitude.

Good luck

Cheers G.

I should be nearing comp shape by now… :D, but im not and as dave tate loves, its my bad.

If my gym peroformance/energy levels drop noticibly then ill up the cals a bit but im trying to keep carbs below 15g. so it would likily be another tin of tuna or 100g more of tuna.

No hunger pangs to note today. no brain fog, good energy levels in gym… so its all good so far.

Cheers
Scott

Agreed - you might bump the fat intake up maybe 20-30 grams but otherwise looks pretty good.

I’d ride it out as long as you can and if you start to feel completely deflated maybe we can devise a controlled refeed - but go with the flow for now, with just a tad more fat in my opinion.

SO IM GOING TO RIDE THAT ASLONG AS I CAN TONIGHT. MAJOR CRAM SESSION TODAY AND TOMORROW.

Since im not going to the gym, should i have all the same meals minus the PWO shake… which will leave me 200 calories down on yesterday or should i aim for the same amount of cals?

Had some noticeable brain fog today… :frowning: will see how tomorrow pans out. Its manageable thou so far. No hunger pangs, maybe a slight lack of energy/motivation today. I will test my urine tomorrow again to see if im progressing in the right direction or not.
Tomorrow is a cram session for my exam on friday and ill also prepare my meals etc for when im away for the weekend. I bought some tubberware etc today in preparation.

Revision is going ok… I seem to be retaining stuff awful well from first read. Seems my brain is more of a sponge than ever. soaking it all up. All i need is 40%, my first two years at uni dont count towards my degree. So the bare minimum is acceptable in my opinion.
Im takeing in 20g of fish oil. and havnt included it in fitday or in my cal/carb/protein/fat breakdown… should i be?
Scott
Most definitely. It should add 180 cals.

Thats a bit low today aswell, but i didnt get up till 13.30 as i had a rough nights sleep. Probably through worry for the exams. I will onyl be awake for about 10 hours today so i suppose the low cals isnt that bad. Ill be up early tomorrow to review my work before my exam and i also need to get lots of sleep as the next few days my sleep quality and quantity will decrease severely.

That’s a good thing. As long as you have Ketones present in your Urine, it’s a good thing.

But you don’t want too high a reading, because the darker pink, red and dark red colours could indicate Ketoacidosis, which is what type 1 diabetics have.

As long as it’s in the first few colours your all good.

Did you get the one’s on the site I sent you a link for? Or from somewhere else?

LR

na i got them in boots. £4.95 for 50 strips.

Cheers for the info on ketones. Im probably going to check it daily or maybe twice so i know whats going on.
