Don’t really care where you go, just STFU and go away. Great stategy you had there with Florida, huh?
Hey, where’s Jeffr0 and his RudiRection? I guess this pull out will leave you kinda limp?

He’ll endorse McCain - probably setting himself up for a position in a McCain administration in the eventuality that occurs. I think he’d be a rather poor choice for VP because he wouldn’t diversify McCain’s appeal, geographically or politically.

Hey, nutsack!!!
I was waiting for one of you runts to gloat.
Here you go: Congratulations.
In the interest of fairness, you should disclose who you favor and plan on voting for.
Thanks in advance,
JeffR
I seriously don’t know. I probably wouldn’t vote for Romney under any circumstance, but I might consider McCain over Hillary.
As it sits right now, I’m leaning towards “none of the above”.
It looks like the cards are gonna get stacked against the Effr0’s en HH’s of this world. With only sane and moderate candidates, I expect them to slightly raise an eyebrow, pretending they’re thinking, then declare they’ll vote independant or for some marginall nutcase.

Not really a “OK so I was wrong” especially considering the comparison to how he has faired against Ron Paul which you assured had no chance comparatively. But I will give it up JeffR at least you man up when the time is there. Many won’t even do that.
Any Republican candidate who is weak on the Second Amendment deserves to lose, and lose badly. It’s interesting to note that FL is a very pro 2nd Amendment and pro CCW state.
Too many liberal Republicans fail to understand that the 2nd Amendment is a much more potent wedge issue among secular conservatives, libertarians, and conservative leaning independants, than abortion ever was.
I believe that a far greater share of this portion of the electorate use a candidate’s stance on gun rights as a litmus test rather than that candidate’s views on abortion.
Personally, I’m fine with that.
Fuck him! New York can keep him.

He may be hoping for something but I wonder if McCain has promised him anything. He has a lot of baggage as well as a tendency to choke on his own foot.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Rudy as Homeland Security Director (Would love to see the fruitcakes on here go nuts over that!!!)
Attorney General might also be in the cards. (Again, I’d like to see the blood pressure level of some of my pals in that eventuality).
However, McCain just called Rudy his “strong right arm.”
Might be toying with V.P.
I think that would be a mistake as McCain desperately needs to buff up his Conservative credentials.
I’m guessing a Southern Conservative.

storey,
First of all, at the risk of sounding like a moRon, I don’t think I was wrong.
I think Rudy made some poor choices in the campaign.
Second, one hell of a lot more people voted for Rudy than ron paul.
Third, thanks for the left-handed compliment.
JeffR
Giuliani was never my top choice, but he was a good candidate and I would have voted for him over Hillary or Obama. His strategy was very odd, though - and, despite his accomplishments, he just couldn’t get a “narrative” going as to why he should be the nominee.
His departure is smart politics - and his departure has zilch to do with the waste of time Paul campaign.

mc jagbag,
I haven’t had the “pleasure” of your input.
Now that you’ve joined, I have a feeling of nostalgia.
Nostalgia for yesterday.
You know, the day before I knew you existed.
I was thinking of mentioning which factors were more important in this race. However, I decided that you were just some dink who revels in other’s shortcomings.
Soon, I hope someone laughs in your face. Further, I hope you fail at something that is very important to you.

Hey, muffin-man.
I can’t think of a worse indictment against the remaining candidates than having you pronounce them “sane.”
Really, mm, that was over the top.
Have some mercy.

Didn’t Rudy get 15% and Paul get 3%?

Paul actually got 3.2 percent.
Why do you hate freedom?

Rudy is a bad choice for a McCain running mate.
McCain is going to have to decide if he is strong enough to draw from the middle on his own, and go with someone that can help him on the right. He is not a popular guy with conservatives.
This is shaping up to be as shitty of a Presidential Race as this year’s Super Bowl.
Honestly - now that Thompson is out, where is the conservative voice? Might as well hope for a Dem presidency and have the right run things from congress ala Clinton. Seems to be the only way republicans can get their heads out of their asses - or their faces out of the fucking hog trough.
Maybe Steve Forbes will mount an independent candidacy…well I can hope, can’t I?
It was nice not seeing Rudy at the McCain vs. Romney debate tonight.

Marginalized. Today’s Republican party is lead by those supporting health-insurance mandates, amnesty bills, bad campaign finance reform bills, etc.
You’re right, it does seem that way. If only we had a candidate who never voted for a spending or tax increase. One who wanted to phase out SS and other entitlements completely. If only.
It’s sad when you have to wish for a third party run, so you get the chance to vote Conservative. Personally I’m done with the Republican party. I’m hanging my hopes on the formation of a third party, some kind of Conservative party. Hell, just call it the Conservative party.
Welcome back, Jeff. You hadn’t posted in a while and I was getting worried about you.
Tough break about Rudy. Who are you supporting now?
