Girls Arrested for 'Cyberbullying'
Maiden3.16 wrote:

So girls are mean. What’s new? Now they will be held accountable for the actions of those they are mean to with felony charges. I don’t agree with what the girls did, but is their “cyberbullying” a possible felony?
Well, this apparently went beyond that since they sought her out even after she was removed from her presence. Seeking out somebody, tracking them, following them around does actually qualify as stalking and harassment both of which are against the law. They did not arrest them for bullying, they arrested them for stalking and aggravated stalking which included making threats.
The sheriffs department claims they have overwhelming evidence to back up the stalking claim. If true then the arrest is justified. I sure as hell don’t want to be stalked or harassed.

If somebody were tracking you down, harassing you, and threatening you, you could have them arrested for stalking. Though the mom in this case should have perused a restraining order rather than moving her to another school.

Middle school kids are fucking mean. They are not innocent by any stretch.

Define direct cause.

What caused her to jump out of the building? Her depression/mental despair?

What caused the mental despair?

And so on and so forth.

You’re stopping at the point that’s convenient for your point. I may very well be pushing to the point that’s convenient for my point, but I find it a little disingenuous for someone to say that a person committing suicide is their fault and theirs alone.

It takes two hands to clap.

The question is how much “blame” (I can’t think of any better word atm) should be distributed to all responsible parties. But it is, imo, quite true that all involved parties are responsible, and to claim that certain people are not is merely shifting the definition of responsibility and trying to avoid it.

When people say own up to what you fucking do, this is what it means. If your taunts caused someone to commit suicide, fucking own up to it. Regardless of legal actions, or lack thereof, or how mentally “weak” or w.e. that person may have been, the fact is that person was influenced by your actions.

Ultimately, who’s choice do you think it was to kill this girl?
Maiden3.16 wrote:

My entire point is that “ultimately” is a wrong way to look at it.

I mean, that’s sort of like saying the nation ULTIMATELY chose Obama to be its president when he wins by 51%, while 49% said no.

Oversimplifying things like that lead to really stupid situations.

I guess that’s where we disagree. The girl killing herself was 100% her choice, not 51%. Nobody else chose that route besides her. I see it more like someone that’s an independent that saw some ads against Romney and voted for Obama. Ultimately, they voted for Obama which was 100% their choice.

No, no, that wasn’t what I meant.

Say that Obama was elected by 51% by U.S. citizens. Does that mean that America gave Obama a mandate to do whatever he wanted, as he said upon re-election?

No.

But by your logic it would. Because what America chose, is ultimately what it chose and is absolute.

Basically, you’re saying that, since Obama got re-elected by America, that must have America’s clear choice.

I am saying that’s oversimplifying the issue.

As for the example you give, are you claiming that whatever the independent guy saw in the ads had NO INFLUENCE WHATSOEVER in his decision to vote for Obama?

And here you are doing the same thing. Is it only tough when you do it or what? Is it cuz you didn’t use a bat? That makes it different?
I know, right?

And you, csully, get an A in reading comprehension, while mr. “if I hit submit THREE times, THEN it will go through” gets an F! LOL

Why all the angry chicken hate lately? I’m just having a little fun. You guys are calling for my death and calling me Hitler and shit cuz I’m fucking around on a BODYBUILDING forum! LMAO

Why should I be expected to be serious on this forum when EVERY FUCKING TIME I try to legitimately contribute to the discussion, the same exact shit happens:

A) My point is COMPLETELY ignored.

B) “You were in prison 20 years ago, so how can you POSSIBLY have THAT opinion?”

C) “Since you were in prison 20 years ago, you are a hypocrite” (because we know EXACTLY what happened and fully understand EVERY circumstance involved even though we weren’t there)

I got a little tired of defending a choice I made when I was 18. I cannot give fact because that would compromise my identity, so I cannot realistically defend myself from the judgmental pricks who just use my past as a legitimate argument about a topic that has nothing to do with that. Suffice it to say, I am NOT that guy any more.

So I decided to write some things that stimulate the discussion and that NO ONE can say “but you were in PRISON, how can you SAY that”. In fact, I’m pretty sure I wrote some things that ONLY a person who is in prison (or belongs there) would write. So, if you guys are tired of me writing sociopathic opinions, then leave my past out of the debate. I’m perfectly capable of making a reasonable argument about most things. But if, in the eyes of this forum, I’m just the “felon who has no right to have an opinion”, then I’m PERFECTLY HAPPY to play that role.

I’m pretty sure that I have SMH, KD, Zecarlo, Pat and HF’s hot buttons down. It’s fun pushing those buttons. But if you are tired of it, quit bringing up my felony EVERY TIME I fucking post. It was 20 years ago, get over it. I have.

But if you want, the trolling can continue - it’s up to you guys. I can be reasonable or unreasonable. I am happy arguing either way, but I WILL argue. And I’m not going away.

Next week, I might decide to be a raging liberal and prove all the religiously fanatic, war mongering conservatives wrong.

Not at all. I do think that, politically, you’ve got your head a bit too far up your own ass for your health’s sake. But, worst of all, and unless you post sentiments on here that you don’t actually endorse in real life (which I doubt), I think you’re incredibly bitter, spiteful, and hateful. But I’m not mad, or upset, or anything like that. I just enjoy calling spades spades.

And no, nobody was calling for your death.

Edit: and I brought up your felony once in a discussion, when it was highly appropriate to the topic at hand, and I prefaced my bringing it up with the disclaimer that I respect your having turned your life into something admirable, which I do. So please don’t be such a victim.

You are usually so very astute, but you’ve missed this one by a country mile, my friend.
Well, sir, I respect your opinion on all matters, so I’m inclined to worry that I indeed have.

However, I have seen some pretty hateful shit from the guy in the recent past. I mean the stuff about blue voters dying, and the “weak liberal faggots” line. I don’t know. Perhaps my sample size is too small, and he is actually a big-hearted champion of compassion and dignity, but I’ve seen little more than petty vitriol.

LOL! You think rather highly of yourself. You don’t know shit about me. Oh you think you do, but you don’t.
You’re problem is you go on these full page rants full of a lot of words and capital letters and figure you have a point. You don’t, but the truth is, I rarely read anything you write because I cannot be bothered to read a full page of poorly thought out vitriol with no point, facts or logic applied with in. Hell the only part of this post I read is where you said you have my ‘hot buttons’ figured out. I thought that was worthy of a response.

If you want to hit my ‘hot buttons’ try to press them with more concise posts and get to the point. Or try to have a point and then get to it. Otherwise I will only know what you said by other people who bother to respond to you your wall of words.

Seriously spitting up laughing. Look at internet troll terrorist chicken. If you meet my demands maybe I will stop posting my insane sociopathic idiotic rants!

No one cares you were in prison, the only thing anyone cares about is how impossible it is for rational adults to discuss things when the ranting craziness starts.

“If you want…the trolling can continue. I will wave this troll gun at you until I get what I demand! You guys can stop the trolling if you meet my demands!” Hilarious.

FWIW I was the one that called you out (deservedly so, you were coming off like a lunatic) and didn’t mention a thing about you being a felon. In fact your insane post that I quoted came before anyone mentioned your criminal record.

I haven’t got a list going, but I kind of wish I did right now. This one doesn’t hold a candle to the “hoping that Democratic voters die” poison he was excreting a couple weeks ago, but “weak, liberal faggots” is a full-on, grade-A sack-of-shit thing to say for a kid in middle school, let alone an adult.

And in a thread about bullying, no less. The irony.
I could care less if someone has been to prison or not. I’d call out the craziness in those posts whether one was a murderer or sin free.

Great example here. Being a victim is a choice involving submission.

Look how the nation views bullying these days. Even Shinedown has that song Bully out on the radio.
Yeah, you don’t know shit about this apparently. It sounds like the same logic that is applied when a woman gets raped and people tell her she shouldn’t have worn that really short skirt.
The victims ‘don’t ask for it’, they don’t intentionally ‘appear weak’, and they don’t typically do anything to egg on bullies. Bullies look for a victim, latch on a like a dog to a mailman and don’t let go.
