Extremely sad. Kids really seem like little sociopaths sometimes.

God damn that’s fucked up. The thing is, even if I was aware of that video before she killed herself, I’m not sure if I would have done anything.
Pretty sad story. People can just be real assholes for no reason. Obviously she made mistakes but the way she got treated was absolutely ridiculous.

Her mistakes were minor compared to how she was treated.
There should be an investigation and these kids need to go to jail. Might as well have pulled the trigger on her themselves.

As tragic as this story is, it seems that bullying is far less pervasive than it used to be when I was a kid.
What is not understood by anybody is how deep those wounds really are.
Personally I think bullies should be stripped naked, tried to a tree in a swamp and let the critters have their way with them. I have no sympathy for a bully. Death penalty, fuck’em. They can all die and go to hell as far as I am concerned.
Look what it does to people? Fuck bullies. Kill them all.
That’s the Christian in me coming out.
I don’t understand why it takes something like this to happen for people to suddenly be “aware” of the bullying epidemic taking place across America.
There are how many thousands of children across America bullied far worse than she ever was (ya know, “old-fashioned” bullying…the kind where you are getting physically injured!) who are not getting the recognition they deserve.
The internet/facebook has taken bullying to the next level. It is even easier for someone to slander another especially if pictures are involved. I am not in favor of blaming the school however. Put the blame on the individuals who chose to be bullies. These cynical brats who tormented her will inherit the world they made for themselves, and it’s what they deserve.

Because she was an easy target.
Bullying stems from the victim being easy to pick on. The basic response is either to get real nasty, stronger and better than your bullies or sink.
I was bullied but I could rise above it and eventually over the years I struck back physically at those who did it, they never ever did it again and these were some nasty bastards but victims such as this girl do not have that luxury and the ignorance of others towards her plight made it worse.
The fear of being ignored by others whilst being picked on just grinds you down and if help doesn’t come you are either scarred for a long time or in an increasing trend these days, kill yourself.

Society is arguably getting better than worse - hence why these stories traumatize us to such a strong degree.

So sad, and I feel so bad for her family, also… Bullying is such a big topic these days.
I’ve been there, myself… way too many times, actually. It was a big part of my childhood and I pray to god that my child doesn’t go through anything even remotely close what I, and so many others have gone through.
