Some bad news: my 17 year old kitty got a lymphoma diagnosis yesterday. He is home and getting extra hugs and treats until he tells us its time to go. ![]()

I’m very sorry about your little buddy, my little buddy Fenris died this Feb. after fifteen years and I’m not ashamed to say I did not take it well. I also have a gray cat that looks a great deal like yours. Hopefully you’ll get as much time as possible.

Training yesterday was a two hour bicycle ride in the sun. Finally sun! Time to calculate my 5/3/1 Wave 9 numbers. I plan on adding 2.5 lbs. to my upper body maxes and 5 lbs. to my lower body maxes. Clearly I am shooting for slow, incremental progress here.

Sorry to hear about the kitty Kimba, I have 2 kitties myself, so I sympathize. Like everyone said, 17 is a wonderfully long life and I’m sure she was the happiest creature ever. E-hugs for you and kitty.

I am sorry to hear about your kitty. In am a pet person, so I understand.
My grandmother’s cat lived to be 24, and it was a hideous sight to see. It could have starred in a Stephen King flick it was so old, matted, and defeated. Just before my grandfather passed from cancer, on his death bed, he gave my uncle instructions on the last load of concrete he had coming, and then he pulled out $20 and told my uncle to make sure he “took care of that damn cat” so my grandmother would not have to deal with it. Those were is last words and final instructions.

The last two reps were rounder on the back then I would like, but the last few times I tried this weight, I got an ugly 3 reps, then the next time I utterly failed on 4. So this is some improvement.

25# 2 x 5 each side <-PR +2.5 lbs.
I’m getting better at these.
Rehab front squats with offset feet

Saturday’s training was a 3 hour round trip ride to the beach. Complete with hot dog, fish sandwich and soft serve (twist flavor is the ONLY WAY).

There may be better bands to listen to than AC/DC when deadlifting, but I am not sure who they would be. Nice work in here.
