god damn awesome PR Kimba!!! I’m hoping going to bed later will break the middle of the night owl eyes cycle. I’m going to bring that image of your ass to bed with me and wrap it around my brain like a blankie to keep the stress at bay.
That was freaking awesome. Great PR. You also spent a lot of energy on the 5 lbs. increments, so that made it even more impressive.
WTG!!
sorry about the other news though.
I’m sure your friend appreciate’s you being there for them.
Best Regards.
P.s. I’m with Jack on the 5# jumps, great job on your DLs!
Nice Pulls
cute pedi,
sorry about your friend.
I’m sorry about your friend. I hope the flight stand by pans out so that you can be there for her.
Very nice pulling but the music in the background saps my will to live. I bet you would have gotten 190 if something better were playing.
I had to laugh about the behind the head plates. I think I have ‘york’ embossed in the back of my head after doing them the other day.
lol i’m with ouro on that you woulda got 190 with the right tunes. awesome new pr though!!
I’m like you, Kimba - I like polish on my toes, but fingers stay bare. The amount of computer work I do, it just chips off. I love the Hot & Spicy, btw!
And fantastic PR! You’re turning into a beast.
sorry to hear about your friend. Big time pulling PR’s.
Thanks all. I’ve been up for almost 24 hours, but I got the very last seat on two flights today. So the universe apparently really wants me to be at this funeral.

as the gods of travel will…
safe travels…
Hey Kimba, Sorry about your sad news. I’m glad that you’re going out there though - its nice to be supported by the ones we love. You’re a good friend ![]()
Great work on the DL PR!! I also love watching your vids b/c your strength betrays your stature - plus you’re a hottie. Keep up the great work!
Sorry about your friend! Hope you had a good flight there and back!
Awesome work on the DLs! Love the toe color! I used to have acrylic nails but had to remove them due to no job to pay for them. I like having polish on my fingers and on my toes, usually matching. ![]()
I was happy to be able to support my friend, so it was worthwhile coming out here. I just need to get back tomorrow…
Before I left, I did a quick military press day in my bedroom gym:
5/3/1 - Wave 8, Week 2 - Military Press Day
47# 1 x 3
54# 1 x 3
60.5# 1 x 6 <–money set, sort of a PR…previously I have done 6 reps at 60 lbs., so this was a half-pound more.
This morning I went and checked out my sister’s gym. There was a power cage! And a trap bar! I had such a good time, never having had access to either one of these things.
5/3/1 - Wave 8, Week 2 - Squat and Deadlift Day
Bar 1 x 5 - ATG, since there was no risers and steps to gauge my depth I just went down to the rails.
80# 1 x 5
95# 1 x 3
105# 1 x 5 <–money set, there was plenty of knee cave. And my elbows weren’t evenly forward – one side was always more forward than the other. grr.
So, there is always commentary. Two middle-aged guys were training on the other power cage and were doing creditable weight (225# or so) to legal depth. After my first few sets, one of them came over and complimented me on my form. And now I have a new comment to add to my repertroire - “where did you learn to squat like that?” This was definitely one of the nicer comments I’ve received in the weight room.
Box squats to bench (3 sec. pause)
75# 1 x 10
85# 3 x 10
Bottum-up squats from a dead stop on the rails
1 x 5
This was hard. Meat had suggested this to me awhile back, but without adjustable rails in my home gym I had never been able to make it work.
Trap bar deadlifts
115# 1 x 5
135# 3 x 3
So fun! I usually train sumo, so these conv. pulls were an eye-opener. Apparently I have knee cave issues on conv. deadlifts too. Who knew?
Bench Press
Bar 1 x 5
55# 1 x 3
65# 1 x 3
75# 1 x 10 <–money set, rep PR +1
Had I had a spotter, I might have been able to coax out one more rep. As it was, this was my first time on a bench set-up with safety rails that would have stopped the bar from crushing me had I failed.
Triceps Rope Push-down
60# 3 x 10
And then it was time to go. I do love checking out new gyms on the road!
Regarding the knee cave, did you finish up your work with the ART mistress? Any conclusions?
Congrats on the PR.
Sorry to hear about your friend, safe travels.
yeah for PR
yeah for cool new gym with cool new toys
yeah for ego boostin comment from credible lifters
I would say this poste has it all, you lucky bitch ![]()

Snapper, first of all - sexy new avi!!
With regard to ART, I still see her every two weeks. My left knee feels really great, even after lots of bicycle riding. So the main issue I was seeing her for has resolved splendidly, and I’m a big fan of ART for that.
My knee cave on squats hasn’t improved. Full disclosure: I haven’t been as dedicated as I could be to the rehab exercises, so this is my fault.
I made it back home due to lots of luck and some poor schmuck who lost his seat out of SFO by showing up just after they closed the airplane door behind me. Kimba profits from the misfortunes of others yet again.
My desk is a complete mess as is the house and I probably won’t be back here to check out what you guys have been up to until later…
