Gina Carano's Next Opponent

id hit it like she were the buttons on a early 90’s streetfighter II special edition arcarde game, i only have 2 tokens left and i’m trying to throw multiple hadokens…

hahaha the one big rubber button. god those things were a pain in the ass!

Well, guys…you think she’s taking this fight more serious than previously…and actual have no weigh-in issues? And god damn,Kimbo.

She looks in real good shape. And Kimbo is a scary motherfucker.

Carano vs. Young = candidate for fight of the year

And Scott Smith deserves a rematch like it’s nobody’s business.

What a piece of shit fight card.

Absolutley. Smith fucked up a bit trying to milk the whole 5 minutes. Besides Carano v Young and Smith v Lawler it was a shit show. Kimbo is a joke. I was screaming for Thompson to get some kind of second wind to finsh the fight at the end of the second. The hype train was almost derailed tonight.

All the talk about Kimbo being a great puncher and Thompson having a glass jaw…he gave him quite a few square shots, but Thompson kept coming. Any decent competition would have Kimbo looking like more of an old man than he already is.

drool

I just watched her Bodog fights and oh shit, she kicked some serious ass.

Yeah man, I’m a pretty big Kaitlin Young fan at this point…even though she lost to a ‘hefty’ Gina Carano, hope she keeps up with the training, she looked pretty good in the fight, just caught a few good ones that fucked up her eye.

heh, reminds me of one of my friends who loves large women…he calls them ‘healthy’

Gina ‘Healthy’ Carano?

Yeah, apparently she was actually cleared to fight by the doctor but the commission called the fight.

"[T]he doctor actually cleared me to fight the third round but the commission said no. I wanted to continue, my corner wanted to continue. The cut likely would have opened in the third but it was under the eye. If I had to guess, I would say that they didn??t want the visual of a woman with a bloody face on CBS. They also chose not to do a post fight interview with me or to include me in the post fight news conference and after party.

I think the reason for that was my beat up appearance after the fight because I was not seriously injured and was completely coherent. I am very disappointed about that but cant help but wonder how people would have responded to that, as stupid as it is."

She’s 0-4 now, so I give the scale about -2000 odds.

Shouldn’t the fight be ruled a no contest if they stop it for political reasons?

She was ready to go and the doc said it was OK. The commission can stop it if they want but that doesn’t make it a win for Carano, does it?

2 fixed fights in one card! (some sarcasm I guess, both are fishy though with that new info about Kaitlin.)

Unbelievable. If there is any justice in the world she will get the rematch and kick that hog’s teeth out.

That’s ridiculous. Why wouldn’t she be a part of the press conference? She only took part in the best fight on the show.

Hopefully she’ll go to another organization that treats her properly.

Here’s a trip down memory lane. Remember the great two fights between Castillo and Corrales? Remember that Gary Shaw promoted those fights? Remember how Gary Shaw called off the trilogy because Castillo missed by two pounds? Remember him proclaiming that “I’m not going to get Corralles killed for fighting a heavier guy!”

Or other great quotes from Gary Shaw on Castillo missing weight:

“If Castillo doesn’t want to fight at 135 pounds, then be man enough and say we can’t make the weight. I promise you, this will not happen again.”

Amazing what a pair of tits will do to a fat old man who once crusaded for the supposed safety of a fighter who wanted to fight someone who missed weight.
