Ghost Rider

Ray Park (also played Darth Maul).
Awesome choice.

Just got back from seeing this flick…I think Cage brought some real good dry humor to the part which was needed. Eva looked hot…But I’m not sure if it was her lines or her acting, but everything she said didn’t seem “real”. And I must say, Sam Elliot kicks all kinds of ass in ANY movie that bastard is in!

Cage’s acting saved the movie. I don’t understand anyone comparing him to Affleck. We get that he isn’t 25 years old, but it isn’t like he simply can’t act.

Snore

They are working on an Iron Fist movie. The guy who played “Toad” in X-Men is the lead. They weren’t able to get the rights to anything associated with Luke Cage (Powerman) so they are even changing his girlfriend in the movie supposedly.

I guess the Luke Cage movie starring Tyrese caused some problems with copyrights.
Wow…I was joking too. Who’s next? Moon Knight? Dr.Strange? West Coast Avengers?

I’ll go see it, assuming this isn’t as God awful as his last film:

I think they’re still using this down at Guantanamo.

Thought the ending was cheesey. Nic did alright but he often looked like he was trying to channel Elvis

Overall B-

Nick Cage is the worst actor of my generation.Having said that I liked the comic when I was younger, so I’ll probably see the movie.

Wicker Man was the worst fucking movie I’ve ever seen. There are compilations on Youtube of some of the parts, it’s obvious that Cage realized what a terrible piece of shit he was in and didn’t even care.

That said, Lord of War was incredible and Cage played an incredible part in it.

He wasn’t half bad in The Rock either. I can understand “Affleck hatred”, but I just don’t get why Cage gets it so much on this site.

Bullshit. There are at least a few hundred who could make the “worst actor” list long before you ever get to Cage. Shit, isn’t Madonna at the top of the pile?

Me neither. In the past 10 years or so:

The Rock
Con Air
Face/Off
Snake Eyes
8MM
Gone in Sixty Seconds
The Family Man
Windtalkers
Matchstick Men
Lord of War

10 movies that I liked and I thought he did a damn good job in. I can’t imagine anybody else in the roles he did in Gone in Sixty Seconds or Matchstick Men particularly.

I’ve seen at least half of those and liked him in all of them. Gone in Sixty Seconds is a great movie. Who actually watched it and thought it sucked…all because of Cage?

I think Cage actually saved this movie somewhat. The special effects were good, I don’t think they could’ve done the flaming skull and bike justice a couple years ago.

I did not enjoy the storyline as much, however, and they should’ve limited Eva’s role to more nakedness and less talking. His enemies were a bit shitty, and it did get very cheesy at the end when he was riding to battle with the Caretaker.

Great list, I liked all those movies. I forgot about 8mm, damn that movie was bizzare.

Well, I finally saw Ghost Rider last night and I absolutely loved it. The only part they could of done better on was the bad guys, as X well stated.
Nevertheless, it was a great movie and was wroth the money. The bad guys in the movie probably weren’t much competition for Ghost Rider because, unlike Superman, he is a character that people feared more than liked.

Nicolas Cage as a motorcycle stunt driver moonlighting as a collector of evil souls for the devil, debuted as the top weekend movie with $44.5 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
It apparently isn’t too disliked even with the critics’ disapproval.

i just cant fucking believe anyone saying cage is a bad actor, let alone the worst of whatever generation.

like, are you fucking kidding, or whats the deal?

all of those movies that were just listed were great, and im sure if i really thought about it i could come up with some more cage movies that kicked ass as well.

oh and CAGE’S ABS…i would put money on that being real, unless the CGI was also that good back when they made face/off which i think was around 1999 (just a guess). he was in practically the same shape in that movie, but he was hairy. in this movie, for whatever reason, he was shaved down. otherwise, looks like the same “physique” to me.

the hair…definitely not his, at least not naturally. i think his hair looked thicker than usual in Lord of War, but even thicker in ghostrider. they definitely did something surgically or temp.

I’d add Raising Arizona to the list above.

That remake of The Wicker Man wasn’t Cage’s fault. The original was yet another one of those classic films that no one should have fucked with.

Either way, if out of 15 movies you can only pick ONE that truly sucked ass, you can’t call the man a poor actor of the degree some have written in this thread. Most of his movies do extremely well at the box office.

I really like Cage as an actor, so I was a bit disappointed with this film, probably because I’m not familiar with the comic books and thought the plot and dialogue was very corny or straight-to-video worthy.

However, the special effects were good so it makes a great film to turn your brain off or take the kids to.
