Getting Started Again!

After six months in Afghanistan, third time in the middle east. I am getting back to powerlifting. I did Crossfit in Afghanistan with my squad. Now time to put some strength back in this body. In 1998 I retired from powerlifting. Body weight 310, S 600, B 455, D 600. Now eleven years later, I am 203, 38 years old and have not even tried to do the three lifts.

One I can’t find anyone brave enough to train with. Two, I think all the good lifting clubs are dead. Atleast around here. The health clubs will not allow chalk or AC/DC. So I do what I can. I need some Test.

I think you will fit in just right. A lot of dedicated Power Lifters on this forum. Work hard and stay strong!

Its good to start again, where are you in ohio
I ask because Ohio is the mecca of lots of good powerlifting, both westside and elitefts are in ohio.

check around here, there are some hardworking
powerlifters in this age group tearing it up.

I actually used to train with one of the older members of West Side Barbell. He got in when you had to beat a guy out of a position to get into the gym. He designed a lot of West Side Equipment. Dayton does not have to many power gyms. If anyone knows of one let me know.
