My left [non surgery] knee is really swollen and painful today. Just sitting here typing this it hurts pretty good. I’m starting to think I might have to go under the knife again, 'cause nothing I’m trying is working. Gonna go do lower here in a bit. Gonna give it another couple of weeks of icing, foam rolling and mobility stuff before I set an appointment. Lifting earlier than normal 'cause I’m gonna go see Rob Zombie with some buddies. Ya’ll be good.
Last night- cleans from floor-185x5x3
squats-135x6,185x6,225x6,245x6,255x6
kettlebell circuit[switching hands after each move] 5 cleans, 5 snatches, 10 2-hand swings, 10 mid air switches [40 total reps]x2
Had to go “easy” due to the swollen knee. Hopefully I’m good by Saturday so I can hit the track. Went 2"-3" below parallel on the squats. Did the first two warm-up sets atg but my knees started popping coming out of the hole so decided to raise it up a bit. If the knee feels good I’m gonna shoot for 275 for all sets. Had to rush the workout to get to the concert. Rob Zombie’s awesome, but he must think Houston is full of pussies 'cause NO ONE was doing anything but making the horns with their hands and nodding their heads. Fun nonetheless. Uper tonight.

Man, sorry to hear about the knee, that’s not good. Hopefully just a flareup or nothing serious. Anything you can remember you did to your knee that caused it to hurt? If you have surgery on your left knee, then you’ll have two knee surgeries on both knees within 18 months of each other. We’ll have to call you WhiteSnail from now on instead of WhiteFlash. haha jk.
UH tearin it up this year, unlike my Sooners
Told ya Sumlin was the man.
Stay up homie.
Oh and Brandon Jennings 32 and 9 last night. You called it. Making an early push for ROY.

T, it just hurts non stop. The pain ranges from mild to pretty bad on a daily basis and has done so for at least 2 years. When I had my right knee operated on they wanted to wait a couple of weeks and operate on the left but I thought I could work around it and it would fix itself.
I’m starting to think that that’s not the case. They said they were gonna detach the patella, clean off the scar tissue and reattach it, and that it came with a 6 month recovery period. I didn’t want to lose 6 months, but now I can’t get rid of the pain.
Jennings is a beast man, but I’m sure his numbers will drop a bit as the season progresses. I’d like to see how Griffin does when he gets back before I take too much credit, haha. Also, Tyreke Evans is doing well, and I didn’t think his game would translateas as quickly [if at all] as it has. He’s a mediocre athlete who can’t shoot, but he’s got a serious handle and alot of confidence in himself. He gets buckets man.

Flash, get it done bro. It’ll be worth the 6 months recovery now than pain every day for years on end. I know it’s easier said than done. I tore my ACL and waited over 2 years to have surgery, and it just got worse and worse.
I’m pretty sure it affected my recovery time, at it took me almost 2 years before I could exercise without my knee brace and could squat 135 comfortably without any knee pain. See what the good doc says and go from there.
Yeah I’m waiting for B-Griff to get back and start tearing it up. Jennings is legit. I’m heading home to OKC for Thanksgiving and going to the Thunder-Bucks game Friday after Thanksgiving, so I’ll have a chance to check him out then. Yeah Evans can hold his own. SAC needs all the help they can get though.
Thunder have played them twice already this year, 1-1 so far. Didn’t see much from him on opening night, but wasn’t looking out for him. Our top guy (James Harden) is coming off the pine for us, he’s got a good stroke and will be a starter one day, but I’m glad he’s keeping his ego in check and not demanding to start. He understands his role.
T, I’m gonna give it another month or so. Starting back way light on squats and gonna foam roll and stretch/do mobility stuff daily. If I don’t feel any improvement the I’ll bight the bullet.
We’ve talked about the Thunder a bit man, and I still think they’re a a team to watch over the next 2-3 years. They’ve got alot of young talent and if management can keep them together and maybe bring in a vet or two and keep using the draft to their advantage they’re gonna make some noise.

Don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this but I partially tore my right rotater cuff when I was 17 or 18 and never got it fixed, so that’s why I don’t do alot of overhead stuff and why I don’t bench outside of shoulder width. With the sw grip I can bench and incline fine but some direct oh stuff kills, and dips are the worst. That and throwing a football or baseball for more than 10 minutes. The standing military didn’t bother it all though, which is cool. Didn’t really know where to start but turns out a plate a side was perfect. Great workout, felt really good. Had to push it back a day due to yesterday being hectic. Gonna foam roll and stretch in bit and hopefully be good to hit the track manana. Ya’ll be good.
Jennings double nickel.
Nice call.

You know man, Jennings has major game and I thought he could come out and contend for rookie of the year, but what he’s doing is insane. I know GS isn’t exactly known for their D, but the way he’s scoring the ball against NBA defenses and just plain doing what he wants out there is amazing and probably even more than I expected. This kid is an animal.
On Saturday I picked up a 30lb kettlebell and did some stuff with it with a buddy of mine. Did 20 snatches per arm, 15 clean and presses, 40 swings, 20 goblet squats, and some other stuff I don’t remember. In between those I worked the speed bag, did all kinds of push-ups [1-armed holding the bell, cg, incline, etc…] hit the heavy bag and tried some turkish get-ups. Finished off with a set of 50 incline push-ups. My heart was about to jump out of my chest after all this. My boy has a warehouse and has the speed and heavybag set-up in there. I’m trying to sucker him into letting me put a powerrack in there with about 500lbs of weight and some db’s [I have db’s from 10-85lbs that were my pops] so I can get rid of my gym membership. All I’d have to do is add to the db collection and I’d be set.
Upper tonight. I’ll holler.
Slept like shit last night and had no juice today. Doing all those push-ups on Saturday and drinking like a fish that night probably didn’t help. Anyway, here’s what happened…

C2]Band screcrows-3x10

No juice so didn’t really know where to start tonight. 240 was smooth for the first set and ugly as shit on the last. I kinda like working up to a “heavy” weight and getting some sets in at that top weight, kinda like ws4sb. Had to sub the pendlay rows 'cause the racks were in use, and did band sc’s 'cause the cable stack to use was busted. Gonna try and play ball manana. Ya’ll be good.

Ha. It’s still swollen from last Tuesday. It’s just startiing to get cold here and my knee’s always a little achey when it gets cold. I can also tell when it’s about to rain real heavy. It’s like my knee’s clarevoyent.

Bummer, sorry to hear. AAHHH interesting about the knee. My third grade teacher’s husband had the same thing, and had to have major surgery on it. Same thing, his knee would start shaking really bad. Hopefully you don’t have to have anything too invasive on the knee.
Snap dude, I just saw the Nets are 0-11. I think Lawrence Frank will be the next coaching victim. Sad considering he started his career with NJN with 14 straight wins. That’s what happens when you trade away VC. I see Lopez really carrying the team this year. Kid’s got game, but he may have to grow up fast. Didn’t really agree with N.O. firing Bryon Scott, but that’s the name of the game I guess.
Take it easy bro.

Man, my left knee’s actually been getting achey when it’s cold since highschool. I’ve known a few people who’ve had similar experiences. Looking back, it’s all been lower body related, knees and ankles. Never met anyone who got that from something upperbody related.
Hopefully they hang tight on axing Frank. Aside from Lopez I think every other starter has been injured. He’s basically running a 2nd unit, and most of 'em are new to the team. That’s rough.
Man, Scott got a raw deal. The Okafor move isn’t really working out like they expected, and aside from Paul everyone else is playing like shit. Someone’s gotta pay for it, and it’s always the coach. But, Scott’s one of the best coaches in the league. He’ll wind up somewhere else, and he’ll instantly make 'em better.
Likewise homey.

Good workout. Would really like to get my hang snatch up to 135-155 by the new year. Would also like to get my back squat back up to 315 for 5. The 275 for 5 was tough, but I had a bit more in me. Didn’t want to push too hard though due to my knee still being swollen. The splits squats were awesome. Never used a bar and had that back foot on a bench before, was wobbly as shit for that first set. Pretty beat right now. Gonna stretch and foam roll in a bit before I crash. Ya’ll be good.
Yeah Bulgarian Split Squats are humbling, especially for balance. Great unilateral exercise, I like doing them. The first time I did them, I did one set of five for each leg and pretty much fell over every time. Someone walking by probably thought I was a New Year’s resolution trying to get into shape.
Staying in HOU for Thanksgiving break, or heading out of town?

Headin to the Okie Dokie. Actually got tix to the Thunder/Rockets game Sunday night, so I’ll let you know how your boys look. Also going to the Thunder/Bucks game Friday night, get to see Jennings. See what he can do after dropping double nickel last week.
