George Floyd Riots

This wasn’t like a laser pen, this was laser like a university would use. It can burn through wood. So yeah, those guys may be blind for life, but I really hope not.

Yes, and I hate to say it, but there will never be a shortage of dead teachers, hence my wording.

Now, are we arguing about semantics or discussing political policy surrounding the reopening of schools on a federal level and the needless death toll that will follow?

It is, by definition.

If Trump can make a supposedly normal, compassionate person resort to physically hurting others, then that person is a piece of garbage. And the truth is, the majority of Antifa are terrible people with poor parents.

All true except I dont think many were “normal, compassionate” people prior to this.

And yet, the extremist who mowed 36 people down with his Dodge Challenger is just one of the “many fine people” who attended that Charlottesville rally in 2016.

Does nobody else see the hypocrisy here? There’s literally zero difference between that person and an ISIS militant driving trucks into people at Times Square.

I won’t even defend ANTIFA, but I don’t think that right-wing extremists should be exempt from the “terrorist” label.

That’s how they are portrayed. They’re the good guys.

Who said there was?

Well, nobody. But, my point was aimed at Trump’s “designation” of ANTIFA as a terrorist group being as slanted as his declaration that “fine people on both sides” attended the Charlottesville rally.

Also, as for your original claim (unless you don’t believe Politifact).

I didn’t say it was designated a terror group; I said it is a terror group by definition. And if they hadn’t co-opted BLM as a message (which they don’t really care about as many of them are racists) the left leaning media would report on them more honestly.

The largest, most watched news network in the country sure does portray all protestors and rioters in PDX as nothing but Biden supporting terrorists coming to a quiet neighborhood NEAR YOU SOOOOON!!!

I think its important to clearly define protestor vs rioter. Protestor good, rioter bad.

You’re still using Trump’s definition, though. And I definitely don’t think ANTIFA is good news, but I think Trump’s distinction of questionably motivated left-wing people as “terrorists” and openly supremacist right-wing people as “fine people” sets a dangerous precedent. It’s what I’ve been getting at this whole time.

I wouldn’t know.

CNN and MSNBC don’t think so. They showed the mayor of Portland get gassed and interviewed him about it but didn’t show the “protesters” throwing things at him and yelling at him to leave.

I don’t think anyone out at night is a protester.

Whats worse, white folks who hate cops and throw objects at them, or white folks who hate brown people and drive cars over them?

Whats the common thread there?.. White people who arent getting laid.

NO, I’m not.
"How is domestic terrorism defined?

The FBI defines domestic terrorism as acts “perpetrated by individuals and/or groups inspired by or associated with primarily U.S.-based movements that espouse extremist ideologies of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.”

I check Fox and CNN for my daily dose of MSM. Its hilarious how opposite their reporting can be on the exact same news story.

I disagree, protesting at night is totally fine, especially for folks like me with a fucking day job. But, more assholes come out at night too (im not just speaking about myself) so it usually does go south.

The ones who hate cops. The ones who run over brown people are too few to be a problem. Besides, if we abolish police like the whites who hate cops want, who will stop the people who want to run over brown people? The whites who hate cops only end up hurting those who need the cops the most to keep them safe.

Social workers of course.

If you are protesting a strip club. If it’s a government building, maybe when it’s open would be the better time.

I’m not sure I’d make that generalization…some people just have it out for cops. Black, white, Spanish, Chinese, whatever.

And some cops just have it out for people.

Proportionally, those people aren’t white. And before you do, please don’t jump on my argument with the exhausted trope that more white people than black people/ethnic minorities get shot by cops every year; that’s because there’s more white people in the USA.

How did Breonna Taylor get shot 8 times in her own bed and have her murder justified by the police, who claimed they believed her apartment was holding narcotics? Has this EVER happened to a white person? I’m not one for using the term “white privilege”, but maybe “racial equality” and eliminating the system’s inherent racial biases should be our main focus. There isn’t racial equality here, not yet.
