Itās a tragedy when a young person dies. That said, and Iāve held my tongue on this, you might want to ask what that man was doing at 3am in an area that publicly didnāt allow cops, and became a location to settle street beefs without threat from police.
As for the lawsuits, my gut says ambulance chaserā¦ But I havenāt heard more about it.

Unmarked cars, no names, pulling suspect hoods over heads so they canāt see, driving to undisclosed locations for interrogation.
