George Floyd Riots

The mod’s can do whatever they see fit, its their website . Its not my website I’m a member just like you, so its not your website either, you don’t get to make the rules. Your not sounding very American if your in favour of censorship though. You sound like one of those people who believe in free speech until somebody says something you disagree with.

It’s hard to say. I’m generally pretty politically reclusive aside from big events like this that truly perturb me.

I guess in my most elementary knowledge of the subject… as a social study; people would rather be right than moral, people will literally fight over conservative/liberal colors, with absolutely no regard for the lizard that’s heading the campaign… it’s no better than gangs at this point. If you’re one of the few that rides between the red and blue, then you’re no different than the oppressor in everyone’s eyes. There is absolutely no room to be progressive, you’ll be labeled a fucking libtard and a thug. Theres no room to be conservative, you’ll be labeled a trumptard and a nazi… The media constantly pushes the race agenda…

It just seems like our entire society is stepping backwards.

Ex. With full disclosure, I completely support the rioting and destruction of fed buildings, but I completely vilify the looting… and on one side, I’m a neanderthal that should be put down for supporting the outrage, and on the other, I’m no better than the oppressors because I dont completely agree with the entire novel. I’ve talked to a single person on my Facebook feed that agrees with me. Everyone else has taken issue.

…just as an example of the polarizing white and black views the country has adopted. It’s not progressive, its divisive, and has literally turned me into a hermit.

Maybe when multiple people are telling you the same thing you should examine yourself? Just because you won’t believe it’s irrelevant doesn’t mean it isn’t. Do you honestly think when discussing this situation that happened in Minnesota in 2020 that it’s worth pointing out Middle East court systems? Because it isn’t.

They are not irrelevant all the time. They are irrelevant to the discussion about the incident in Minnesota. I’m not dismissing viewpoints or experiences of other countries. They simply aren’t important to what’s being discussed. Race relations in the US and the incident in Minnesota is what the topic is about. The topic is not about comparing the US to other countries. It’s not about is America superior to other countries.

That one had more relevance, but you did not understand the immigration topic in America very clearly.

Immigration has been a huge net positive for America throughout the history. You can go back to the thread if you would like. I wasn’t pro immigration for illegals I merely pointed out that illegals were used in numerous situations and that removing them all at once would have significant impacts. How am I less of a “patriot” for acknowledging that my “American brothers” don’t want to go work in meat packing plants and on farms in western Kansas? That has nothing to do with patriotism it’s a fact.

But I don’t want to have that debate here that’s not why the thread was created. And the thread wasn’t titled “let’s compare the court systems in America to the Middle East.”

If you can’t figure out why a discussion about an incident in Minnesota in 2020 doesn’t have to involve the Middle East I don’t know what to tell you. You twist and confuse my words so often that you may be Beyond_Beyond help.

I was being sarcastic. No need to invent another position I haven’t taken.

There you go again with the passive aggressive thing again, you said it even if being sarcastic, so I didn’t invent things. You are wrong again.

I’m capable of making my own evaluation, on a subject with the information available. I’m not swayed by illogical ideas no matter how many people believe otherwise. You’re doing me a disservice by focusing on a middle eastern court. It was about not getting a fairer treatment than in America compared with anywhere else in the world.
You have stilled failed to appreciate how much better you have it than other places in the world. If the rioters really wanted justice for Mr Floyd, they would let the legal process play out. You wouldn’t get the same satisfaction legally in any of the countries I mentioned. They didn’t wait, and now you have chaos, with a potential for much worse. Great situation for your country to be in, no one wins.

You 're doing it again,Mr Passive Aggressive. You’re twisting your own words, not me. You tacitly supported the use of labour by illegal immigrants. Now you say you merely pointed it out. No you agreed with it, and used it as a reason to justify why you thought immigration was essential. You’re happy to sell out your American brothers for some cheaper cuts of meat due to lower labour costs. Its even worse now when the unemployment rates are even higher.
They don’t want to work the job because the pay is kept unsustainably low due to illegal migrants. I don’t know what you do for a crust but I bet its not a job that an illegal immigrant would do.

The Russian Empire is still going strong, for example. What about the Romans and the Sassanids? All lasted much, much longer than nation states…

The shit hit the fan after the money ran out, courtesy of a decade-long crippling economic crisis. When Bush Sr. and the 'Muricans came in with subsidized USD loans in 1989 in order to save socialism (ironic, isn’t it) it was already too late.

If they have, they are rare. Change via coercion and fear is not really change.

Look at Kent State: where did the violence come from? Not the protesters yet, in the end, they won.

I think I know where this is heading…

I know you aren’t American so I’ll try and be nice. There were other things besides slavery and segregation. Redlining, for example. The effects of which are still felt to this day.

You do know (obviously you don’t) that there were riots in the 70s? In the 80s you had the emergence of a crack epidemic and in the 90s… Rodney King.

Stop watching alt-right teenage “news.”

And there are Americans, like me, who know more than you. But that won’t change how you think because you are just another person who is so full of bullshit you can’t separate it from truth and reality.

Not only am I American, but I have lived in the ghetto. That won’t stop you from telling me how it really is, now will it?

On Twitter, Trump said the following:

“Liberal governors and mayors must get much tougher” or the federal government will “step in and do what has to be done, and that includes using the unlimited power of our military.”

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms appealed to President Trump on Sunday to “just stop talking”

He’s making it worse. This is not about using military force. This is about where we are in America. We are beyond a tipping point in this country, and his rhetoric only inflames that, and he should sometimes just stop talking."

At least in Pgh. there is clear evidence that there are opportunists starting mayhem and vandalizing. Not sure what their goal is but the hammer/cickle and the quote “It is right to protest” in bright pink/red has been used by them. It appears they are trying to instigate the crowds to violence and create the appearance of angry racial rioting.

Not saying that angry racial rioting isn’t happening, just that there are some people in the mix who are using it toward their own ends.

It’s about him appealing to his base, the fat guys with beards who like to cosplay they are Special Forces and pose with their guns and over-exaggerated trigger discipline.

Which is always the case. On both sides (see Trump).

Indeed.

Both White Supremacist and Antifa members have been found instigating crowds all over the Nation.

Well, what I’ve heard is that they are framing up the protests so that the police attack the peaceful protesters.

Not only do two wrongs not make a right, but that’s just evil. I don’t know if you know much about this city’s police, but they are homocidal as fuck. Getting on their bad side is literally a death warrant.

That would be all about selection and training.

lol whatever dude. You’ve invented about 15 positions for me. And let’s add doesn’t understand sarcasm to the list of issues you have.

No I haven’t I’ve already acknowledged it. But it’s irrelevant. Why do I need to acknowledge it when it doesn’t fit the thread? So OP brings up a situation in Minnesota and you think everyone in here should pause and say how much better they have it being American than in other places?

Dude you didn’t even remotely understand the labor situation in America which is why I had to educate you. And you’re inventing positions for me yet again. Start a different thread if you want. This one isn’t about comparing America to the rest of the world. It isn’t about immigration.

Yeah. That’s what I’m seeing. Coordinated strategic and very similar, all the way down to the clothes.

If it was one white kid, that would be one thing, but it’s in multiple cities nationwide-black hoodie/pants, gas mask or other facial cover (what a time for that, huh?), backpack full of breaking tools, spraypaint, etc.

It’s too uniform.

I don’t doubt that. There’s a whole lot of “tradition” among the all of the organized labor groups/unions.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but yeah, sometimes it’s not good.
