As are many other people every year, of all races. Protesting for this so called epidemic of cops killing black people is a false narrative. Especially this idea that white cops are killing innocent black people. It is just not true. Media, those in power just want chaos, division to what ends…?

So, of the 200 plus Black people killed every year by cops a few were unarmed and the situation was one like that of George Floyd. While terrible it is hardly an epidemic. And as I said this happens to people of all races EVERY YEAR but, it is not sexy unless it is WHITE on BLACK.
If the argument is that LE need a better education standard, hiring process as well as a much stringent psychological evaluation then I completely agree.

Body cameras are a defence against a lawsuit, unless you’re as guilty as sin.

The 4 cops involed were: white, latino, black, asian.

The supply problem is even worse than you realize. In the department where I used to work 2 out of every 100 applicants makes it through the hiring process and probationary period. This info came from a recent letter to the community from our Chief reassuring the citizens of the strict screening process and training required by the department. Couple that with a declining number of applicants and eventually some standards could be relaxed just to get bodies on the street.

It does make me wonder… Would communities become less confrontational with cops if cops just held a 1 week strike? Show the citizens what they were missing? Don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone kinda thing.
Yes I know that will never happen for numerous reasons not the least of which is most cops understand how bad it would become and would not sacrifice the lawful citizens in their precinct just to make a point.

These antifa kids have not come out to support blacks but to take over the narrative and messaging. It’s about fascism, not a history of racism. We can argue about how racist America is today and what not but it was supposed to be a black thing, not a white kid thing. For some of these “protesters” it is a chance to have some fun. It’s like they are going to some vandalism theme park.

It comes down to community policing as if you are part of the community and not an occupying force. We can say that citizens shouldn’t fear cops but cops also shouldn’t fear citizens.
