George Floyd Riots

Then there’s this.

The man tried to warn you three months ago. He knows what he’s talking about. But did you guys listen? Nooo.

It always goes like this. Why didn’t anyone listen to Duc d’Anjou? His family knows how stuff like this ends.

What else do you think he might have been doing? The only two things I could think of is grab a gun or get in the car and drive away. The police are at fault for letting him get to the car in the first place, they failed to control the suspect and then shot him under questionable circumstances. But aside from that, what could they have really done? Waited to see if he points a gun at them? It should have never gotten to that point.

The man who claimed to have made the video, 22-year-old Raysean White, said that he saw Blake scuffling with three officers and heard them yell, “Drop the knife! Drop the knife!” before the gunfire erupted. He said he didn’t see a knife in Blake’s hands.

So the 3rd potential possibility is that he could have turned this into a hostage situation with the kids in the car if he did in fact have a knife.

Or turned into a high speed chase with those same children in the car.

Just slow down before attacking cops who didn’t even shoot. Only one shot, no?

And then go on to burn and loot. Slooooow…down.

And folks really need to stop trying to make these into cop motivated by race cases.

I already mentioned the possibility that he cold be trying to take off in the car, but yes the fact that there are kids in the car makes it more serious and for all you know the cops might have saved those kids’ lives by shooting their father.

We have to wait until more information comes out to really come to any sort of conclusion on this incident, but one way or another I think the cops fucked up here. Maybe shooting him was the best they could do at that moment, but it never should have gone like that in the first place.

He could have very likely been:grabbing a water bottle for himself, grabbing a bottle for one of his 3 kids in the back seat, grabbing a pack of smokes and a lighter, grabbing his wallet/ID/cellphone/etc, grabbing custody papers or other legal docs, etc.

If the only cause that a cop needs in order to use deadly force is “i didnt know what he was grabbing, but assumed it was a gun” , then we as a society have a serious problem.

There doesn’t appear to be any question that he wasbeing arrested. How would he mistake the situation? Decided to just get a bottle of water? Maybe he had a severe mental illness or was seriously high. I mean, he seems to have had warrants for sexual assault and had possibly been tased already. It really looks like he just flat out decided he wasn’t being taken in. And when somebody like that makes for the interior of their vehicle we’re talking vehicular pursuit with children involved. At least.

The problem is that there is no longer an expectation that anyone is supposed to cooperate with the police. Who’s to say that this whole incident wasn’t a BLM protest?

All I know is that if people are pointing guns at you and you don’t do what they say then you can expect to get shot.

Where are you getting the info that he had warrants for sexual assault, was under arrest, or had already been tazed?

The article above:

Online court records indicate Kenosha County prosecutors charged Blake on July 6 with sexual assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse. An arrest warrant was issued the following day. The records contain no further details and do not list an attorney for Blake.

Doesn’t say whether the warrant was still outstanding or what, he could just as easily be out on bail.

Thanks for the quote.

If he did have an active warrant, but the cops had just arrived on scene and didn’t know about it, would that change your opinion of how the shooting happened?

To me, it wouldn’t. Unless the cop thought he was grabbing a weapon, like actually saw what he believed to be a large knife or gun I would still say it was a bad shooting.

And then, if there was a weapon involved, why the hell is the KPD not publicizing that asap?

They know it won’t happen and even if it does, they will be in neighborhoods that still have police. The three founders of BLM all have Hollywood agents.

There is almost always a settlement, whether right or wrong. It’s tax payer money so who cares.

It’s also cheaper, and come with NDAs. Just like plea deals and dropped charges are cheaper for a DAs office and result in better press.

Brooks was a criminal. Floyd was a criminal. This latest dude was a criminal. Criminals make stupid choices. In an interaction there are two parties. When the civilian party is a stupid degenerate like Floyd or Brooks, they end up putting the other party, the police, in a position where they might make a life ending mistake. The bullshit narrative is that the cops are hunting down black men and shooting them. The truth is the police are responding to criminal activity and criminals make stupid choices even when the other person has a gun.

The protesters might want to read a little further into French history.

The “bullshit” narrative is that police are too quick to resort to shooting. If there was no weapon that Mr Floyd was going for in that car, this was a bad shooting IMO.

Even a VERY basic statement for the KPD would be helpful right now. Silence is just furling the rumors and allowing narratives to take hold.

Because that has happened.

They aren’t, statistically speaking.
