I want to see this, but I’m in Japan… and I don’t think they are showing it anywhere. I tried to look it up near my home (in the US) and also didn’t see it listed this weekend.
I watched Pumping Iron last night. With the Olympia two weeks away and this movie out this weekend, I felt compelled. Such a funny and cool movie. Its amazing how much physiques have changed since that time. Also impressive is their degree of leanness compared to today. I’d happily even go back to that level of leanness for competition - may be safer for competitors for sure.
Too bad this movie is HIGHLY LIMITED RELEASE ONLY. I believe its released in Major cities like LA, New York, ect. So I may be watching pirated copies of it online lol.
Are you still planning on going to watch Generation Iron on Saturday in Manhattan? Any other T-Folk members contact you about watching it together? I plan on going on Saturday as well in Manhattan. Let me know and if so, what would be the best method to contact you to coordinate things.

Hey James,
You can always contact me through the ‘contact’ link on my web site. If not this Saturday, we can definitely set something up, maybe get a few folks to come out.

Is it still bad to watch it pirated on the Internet if you’re planning to buy it when it comes out anyways? I can’t help they have limited screenings.[/quote]
that’s fine IMO
what’s this really going to offer someone who has spent hours watching Mike Pulcinella’s videos on youtube, aka all of us
of course Columbus OH, the home of the Arnold classic and where some of this film was shot, will not be showing this in ANY theaters around me. What a joke!
I saw it today, a few hours ago, in Farmingdale, Long Island. How much do you think Hany Rambod and “Grandma” pull in per year to be short order cooks and rep counters and emotional support providers? Seems like a cushy job I wouldn’t mind doing.
Seriously, imagine getting paid for cooking short order meals (eg, chicken and rice; egg whites, oatmeal, and toast; steak and a potato); telling someone to do a set and barking, “One more!”, “All you!”, “They got nothing on you!”, “You’re the best!”, “Living the dream!”, and the like; showing people how to pose; telling people when to go to sleep; and so on?
Did you see the last pic with Kai where most of his hair has been shaved save for the long tail?
I think it is a great look for Kai. Might add to him looking ‘different’ this year. Looked massive and shredded in that photograph as well. Not sure if they are ever going to give it to him but he is sure looking the part a few weeks out.
Stu nailed it – Kai can win, even w/ phil on. Kai has to to be diced, feathered, no film of water…if he can nail his conditioning he brings a look that others just don’t have. much like phil having an “exclusive look” when all 3D, zippered Kai has a presence unlike the others. well – also the checkered past might hinder him, but if he looks the best, the hope is that he’ll win. Jay looks pretty damn sick too!!! i’m an 09’ Jay fan.
for fuck sake too, he just expresses his love and desire for this stuff in a manner that makes you want him to succeed - certain passion becomes tangible and infectious, the humility is also what sets him apart.
NEWS FLASH - Generation Iron has expanded cities as of FRIDAY it will be playing in a shit tone more places!!! According to the FB site it is going to be in ATL!!! woot woot yeahhhhhhhh buddddyyyyyy light weight!!! BOOOOO
