Just Watched Pumping Iron

I just watched it for the first time and i got to say Arnold Reminds me of a Movie Villain Lol.

Great movie…what took you so long?

My favourite bit is when he describes helping a younger bodybuilder at the Mr Munich and got the youngster to shout at the top of his lungs while posing

If you watch the extra features on the dvd you’ll see that Arnold was meant to look like a movie villian. Still, I have to agree with BJB, what took you so long? That’s usually the first movie people watch when they get into weight lifting.

Not all of it was real. It’s not a documentary.

I have been watching that movie since it first came out. My father was o huge Arnold fan and had us watching it since we were kids.

I love the scene where Arnold keeps making Ed Corney do squats until he stumbles to the rack and then collapses.

I never watched it yet :s

for some reason me neither…downloading now in progress

Love this movie. I always make anyone that wants to start coming to the gym with me first watch this video to know first hand the pain they will be going through

Anyone ever notice a young Mike Mentzer in the film?

kidding. it’s def worth the watch though.

Good movie.
If you haven’t seen it you should watch the raw iron movie to.
a documentary about pumping iron. Its on you tube.

A very cool tribute to pumping iron, Pumping Iron - Clubbed To Death - YouTube
love this tribute, especially when Arnold do flyes, he look so focused.

Whenever I need a kick in the ass for wanting to hit the weights hard and put on some size I pop it in for a watch. Think I’ll watch it this weekend as a matter of fact as I want to start a pretty hard program.

D

hehe same man, il watch it at least like once a week to amp myself up

I have never seen it. Pretty sad that i haven’t.

i just watched it for the first time last week. good movie. arnold was kind of a dick, but i would be worse with that many Olympia’s in a row.

My roommate thinks bodybuilding is kinda gay anyway, but I got him to watch this one night after finding it in the $5 bin at walmart.

LSS- There’s a scene where arnold and his guy “friends” and all laying on the their stomachs in a circle by a pool with their feet up and he was like- “See!!! I fucking told you man!” lol

That said Arnold’s line about lifting/competing being like cumming- “I am cumming day and night.” Its gotten a lot of inside joke time with me and other people who I know have seen the film.

I recently watched it on Youtube. I got started lifting in a basement YMCA gym similar to the gyms in Pumping Iron and would do heavy bench and squats and after lifting it would take minutes just to walk up a bunch of stairs.

Arnold built solid shoulders, keeps his head up, smiles, has a positive attitude, has a desire to succeed, puts forth the effort, meets people, jokes around and laughs, and writes and achieves his goals in life.

I downloaded it and seen it because of this thread. It was kind of boring but I liked how they presented every bobdybuilder. My favorite were Mike Katz and Lou Ferrigno. Arnold was too arrogant and sneaky but he had the best physique.

My favorite scene was the super cliche one when you see a obese curling 10 pounds dumbell next to the Lou training crowd, all intimidated.

Beside that it wasnt that good
