This isn’t necessarily true. In Aus, joining a trade isn’t necessarily looked down upon
We even have separate schools specifically aimed at integrating people into trades that you need to graduate from.
I don’t think it’s looked down on in America. The problem is schools pushing college for all as if college were for all.
