That movie was worth watching for Ledger alone. He made the film.

Dude, that Arkham Asylum game looks UNBELIEVABLE. And I am NOT one to be easily impressed…

For PS3 and 360…

Damn.

When is this coming out?[/quote]

Release Date: December 31, 2009

Let’s put that memory on hold for a while.

Nice. Gives me time to pay some bills and procure a ‘Jasper’ 360…maybe even a PS3.

Prefacing this by saying I still think it’s insane, however most people here are way to quick to rag on that WoW dude. You don’t know anything about his play time/dedication to the game. I could look at Vader’s home theatre setup and say “dude must be some star wars nerd that can only dream about getting some Klingon pussy.” It doesn’t make it any more true. People invest their money into what they want, this guy chose WoW.

If anything, actually reading the article suggests he doesn’t play it that much at all. None of his characters are even close to max level, and that’s using the refer a friend leveling boosts on all of them(which is huge).

I just hate seeing people hop on the hate train simply because it’s WoW, just because you or some friend you have played the game a lot out of some addiction doesn’t mean everyone does, quit projecting, some of us enjoy the game in a perfectly healthy manner.

I personally hate on WoW because the game sucks as a whole and I don’t understand how people can keep playing it. It was way too easy to hit max level and then the content at max level got boring very fast. And the game’s graphics look like a little kids cartoon show. And the PvP is a total joke, completely sucks. So many better games out there, I don’t understand how WoW is so popular - it has to be because tons of little kids are playing it or something. In fact I remember that when I used to play, I think at least 75% of the people that play must be under 16 - the game is full of immaturity at its best.

Wow, sounds like you’ve got some insecurity about your WoW habits there, bud.

Nobody bashed this guy because he was playing WoW. Many of us here have played WoW, including me. That article would have gotten the same reaction no matter what the game he was playing.

Did you even notice the amount of money this guy spends playing a video game? How much money he spent on his setup? That’s what we’re commenting on.

Having a home theater setup isn’t even in the same fucking ballpark as that guy’s WoW setup. Having a nice home theater system isn’t even uncommon among the general public. That guy stands out even among WoW enthusiasts.

And get your fucking geek references correct next time. Star Wars and Klingon pussy? Not even close, dude.

I stopped reading after this part. Guy spends too much time playing WoW to know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek.

ROFL, I play WOW, I don’t think it’s a big deal.

But having multiple accounts (like 36) does make you a fucking loser. It just screams that you’re so pathetic you can’t even make friends in an online game.

Seriously. I’m neither a Star Wars guy nor a Star Trek guy and even I thought that was weak.

Thanks for taking care of that one, Vader.

PSP owners, there’s a new firmware update, 5.0, that now allows you to access the Playstation store directly from your PSP.

Also, starting in 2009, all PSP games will be available via download, as well as the UMD format.

Wow. So you can store and play them off of a Memory Stick card? What is the largest MS available for the PSP? 16 GB ?

How does the amount of money he spends on it determine how big of a “loser” he is. The dude could be filthy fucking rich, you don’t see his bank statements.

And if you’re commenting on the amount of money he spends, then no a home theatre system ISN’T any different, because it servers the same purpose: enhancing your enjoyment of a certain hobby. Insecurity? You’re the one’s who en masse flipped out on a single person because he does something you don’t approve of.

You’re right he does stand out among WoW enthusiasts, but we don’t question whether or not he’s a bed ridden obese virgin, we question how he could possibly control 36 characters at once.

God forbid you address the article on the information it actually displays and not interject your social assumptions about a person who would participate in such activities.

Oh and I made the “mixup” on purpose, because the people that would say shit like that DON’T know the difference, and that’s the point. Way to attack the most pointless part of my post though(all of you, I’m impressed).

You’re the ones talking about how you’re afraid to play the game because you might “become too addicted and lose your social life.” Who’s insecure about their habits now, afraid your buddies might think different of you because you find a game enjoyable?

Dude, he was speaking tongue in cheek about becoming addicted.

I think adolescence is what teaches you to prioritize, hence why many of us have jobs, mortgages, spouses, families, etc.

This is supposed to be a chill thread about leisure. Relax, and pop a blue 1000 (that’s milligrams).

Its so funny how mad you’re getting. lol

Wait, so in 68 pages of this thread, the fight that breaks out is over some guy who spends every waking hour playing a video game?

Look, people may call me obsessed about lifting weights, but they would be right about it being “unhealthy” if I literally spent 18 hours a day in the gym 7 days a week.

It is the amount of time it takes to even control 36 different characters.

Owning a home theater system does not take up my time at all unless I am sitting in front of it.

What are we arguing about here?

I’m not arguing, get some popcorn and watch the guy getting madder and madder, its entertaining!

You got me, my emotional peak has been reached and I am feverishly hammering at my keyboard as we speak.

Chances are he uses a program made famous by a quadboxer named Aelli, where all other characters mime the actions of the one he actually plays, but nobody knows except him and the people who are on his server(it’d be easy to spot).

Shirley, you can’t be talking about me?

There is no room here for madness…just geekiness. Let me share with you guys my latest geek endeavor:

Torch working, aka glass blowing but with a torch. Too bad classes (16 hours, split into two days) are at least $400…

Soon. Real soon…

Right. A cool feature, for sure, and another reason why the PSP has become my favorite system right now. I believe 16 is the largest memory stick available.

I wish Sony would be humiliated for ONE thing: their proprietary formats.

They should be beaten by the storage industry (namely, into submission by the SDHC format) and humiliated. You won Blu-Ray, fine, but fuck off with your Memory Sticks.

I think SDHC will hit 64 GB capacities by fall 2009. Imagine all the ROMs on one card. And, you have the benefit of competition from different manufacturers, ramping up transfer rates and densities and lowering their prices like sorority chicks dropping their panties for a little air time.

Boo-yah.
