I’ve been known to sing the songs from that old movie when I’m out doing yardwork.

Damn, speaking of PSP goodness you should check out;

LocoRoco
Patapon
Silent Hill

They’re all brilliant.

Also, you can’t beat a bit of PES. Though the new one is a bit lame. No Arsenal!? Rubbish!

X, I just bought a PSP over the weekend for that very game (and MLB The Show '08). You’re right, best handheld title out there. Now, if only work didn’t get in the way…
Olympus is god of all PSP titles

I had been playing it but hadn’t even realized it was set as a prequel to the other story lines.

How long is the game? I’ve read anywhere from 4 to 6 hours depending on how good you are. I’m buying it anyways, but I was just curious. The GAP demo I got in December sold me on it.

Oh I used to fucking love D2 LOD, played it so much. Then all my best friends quit it for World of Warcraft. Unfortunately, I still have full blown addiction to WoW.

I don’t have the specs. I just know this is one of the most engrossing game I’ve played. This falls right in line with the other titles they’ve released for GOW. Considering it is portable, I really wouldn’t complain much if the total playing time was only 4 hours.

Exactly.

6-7 hours is perfect for a handheld. Unless it’s a turn-based game like Advance Wars, or a straight-up RPG most action titles on handheld should be in this range, IMO.

I watch AOTS every chance I get.

I liked that network better back when it was ZDTV, though. Anyone remember “The Screen Savers”, or “Call for Help”?
I used to love it when it was Tech TV, then G4 had to ruin it, the only good shows on G4 now are X-Play and AOTS.

Thar be a few math geeks in this thread. I like to solve math riddles in my spare time. There was a math riddle thread around here somewhere. This site is the best collection I’ve found so far:
[ wu :: riddles(intro) ]

I have comic book collection that weighs more than I do. Mostly stuff like Preacher, Y:The Last Man, 100 bullets and the likes. I own everything CrossGen comics published. I am currently waiting for a new Superhero MMO to go live so I can play out that fantasy again.

For the anime fans, have any of you rented Speed Grapher? Pretty sweet and bit twisted compared to usual fare. Not to mention it has one of the funniest scenes in television history, when a young girl sings in a tranny bar. I probably shouldn’t have laughed, but I did.

Spend to much time on Xbox live: o45 Colt

Otherwise I tend to be a bit of a Car nut and Gun nut. Just bought a new Kahr CW.40 to be my carry piece for when clothing choices won’t work with my 1911’s.

Len Wiseman is working on a new Underworld movie for next year.

I want to see the Black Panther comics made into a movie. Does anyone remember the Christopher Priest series through Marvel comics?

I also love 2000AD comics.

On computer games does anyone play Diablo 2, Starcraft or Age of Empires 3? All very good games. I think I will buy God of War now seeing as Professor X keep’s going on about how excellent it is.

I play d2 occasionally on east.

d2 lod was the best game ever, until everything started being duped and poofing
I wish Blizzard had decided to make a new Diablo instead of StarCraft 2. Oh well…

D2:LOD, the original Diablo, and Hellfire are the only three games I currently play. Though, I’m far from being an expert player.
There’s a bit of speculation floating around that they’re working on Diablo 3. Let’s hope there’s some truth to the rumors.

I have rarely played in a multiplayer game, 'cuz I just don’t trust people to play fair; as a result I know I’ve missed out on quite a bit. Collecting of ears, PK… I have no experience in these aspects of the game.

If I play on Battlenet (D2:LOD), I play an open game, with my single-player char (mid-lvl druid), in a password-protected game.

If they don’t make a D3 they’re idiots. Plain and simple.

I confess that I like Full Metal Alchemist…alot.

I watch quite a bit of animated things, mostly on Adult Swim. My favorite being The Venture Brothers, (I admire Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer tremendously) of which I got my namesake. I like Home Movies, Metalocalypse, basically everything Brendan Small takes part in creating seems to put a big fat smile on my face. My ideal life would put me in music, but short of that…being part of a writing crew creating a show for Adult Swim would be a dream job.

I don’t know if that makes me some sort of geek half breed, but I sure as hell don’t find much common ground for discussion with the Coach purse crowd.
I dunno if this has already been said because I’m just responding to this immediately but…

…MARRY ME.

I actually sent Brendan an email last night simply thanking him for making my life more entertaining…Home Movies and Metalocalypse own.

Back on topic…my geek interests include:

1)Berserk (this is anime/manga…not sure if its really geeky though…just totally awesomecore)
2)World of Warcraft
3)Final Fantasy

the working out is merely a smoke screen…ha.

Starcraft is one of the best strategic games out there. It’s amazing that after so many years that it’s still so popular.

I never liked SC but I loved d1, and DII, and all the warcrafts (except wow). I’m *NoleafClover@Useast if anyone still plays.

Oooh, time to unfurl the geek flag!

I’m a female geek, which is much rarer than male geeks. I was in high demand at the Magic: the Gathering tournaments at Clark’s Comics.

I have a full collection of Marvel super-hero t-shirts that I wear to the gym. This morning I had on Wonder Woman; at the moment I’m wearing one that says “Super Powers” with pictures of Superman, Flash, and Batman underneath. I got really excited when I found a Venom shirt at Walmart last week.

Speaking of Flash…whenever I hear that word I’m compelled to go into my Freddie Mercury imitation: “Flash! AH-AHHH…savior of the universe!”

I like to work H.P. Lovecraft and X-File references into everyday conversation as much as possible.

And before I forget…we really need to clarify our terms here. What do you consider to be the main difference between geeks, nerds, and dorks?

Hence, much more valuable.

Female geeks Rock.

The ability to attract the opposite sex. I can be a geek and still hit the gym. Nerds are pretty much the same as geeks except most seem to use the term to describe academic prowess while Geeks seem to be more into sci fi, strategic games and gadgets (that’s me). Dorks are just clumsy idiots. There are no redeeming qualities to being a dork. It is also a very effective method of birth control.
