I’ve said since the first post that I’m “part Geek”. You won’t find toys in my apartment but there are quite a few Superman and Batman related icons. I like video games and I am definitely a tech junkie in that I like gadgets.

I consider true geeks the guys sitting at home watching Star Trek re-runs for the billionth time while hiding their 100 extra pounds of chubby body weight from the world in their toy filled apartments where sex never occurs.

I am not there.

Hey. I consider myself a full-out geek and I do watch star trek reruns and I do have a house full of toys, electronic, lego mindstorms and enough pc parts to build an army of small robots but the other parts are not in my version of the definition. I only have one console though and that’s a wii. The real evidence is that I was excited to see a program crash at a pointer with my name in it’s address-> 0xFFFFFFFF0000DEBB

Anything related to computers, electronics, comic books, toys and gadgets qualifies as geekery IMO. But the chubby sexless part is what gets into nerd territory. Perhaps having an opinion on it puts me into the nerd category though  Well that and being aroused at the proper use of a semi-colon :stuck_out_tongue: I shall shut up now.
Ahhhh… a women after my own heart!

Say you wouldnt want to wear this on Halloween for me would you?

I’m sorry that you had to put up with that horrible game. I rented it and took it back after playing it for about 20 minutes.

See, if we had a “Crappy Game List”, I could have saved 50 bucks.

Crappy Game List

 1. Viking Battle for Asgard - PS3

I used to play that shit at school - think I still have a Tradewind Rider hiding somewhere.

Haha yeah the game is old as hell, I got into in the 6th grade and I’ve been playing it on and off for years I just have a blast with it. The only time I really quit for awhile was sophomore year in highschool when I discovered that spending money on girls was a lot more fun then buying cards.

Now I just play it twice a week because I’m a college student with a lot of free time.

My brother said the black lotus was one of the best cards.

I could never get into that stuff or even D&D.

I was never into Magic either. I tried the Star Wars card game for a while, but it was too expensive. Plus, after playing a few times, I realized I just wasn’t into card games enough to bother with creating a good deck or having a play strategy like the serious players did.

I WAS into the Marvel comic cards, though…I still have a binder full of cards, all in order.

As far as the 360 rehaul is concerned, I think it’s fucking terrible that Microsoft is conforming to the bullshit ‘family standards’ set by the Wii. Yeah, we can still keep out blade configurations, but fuck… the new avatars are the EXACT same thing as Miis, except more proportionate.

When our most hardcore gaming console turns ghey, we have some serious problems.

I think the PS3 is more hardcore overall - give it more games and better online play and it’s king.

How so? The bulk of 360’s 1st person and main title games have been geared towards adults FAR more than PS3. I’ll try and dig up the rating and age preference averages article, though it may have been in an old magazine instead of the internet.

Plus, reread what you wrote. It’s like saying “Nothing beats my Dodge Camaro. If I put more horse power and a GPS inside, THEN it’ll be better than the Porsche.”

X-Box got the jump on game manufacturers right out of the gate. I would not want to be one of those who chose an X-Box for that reason 2 or 3 years later when the “game gap” has closed. The PS3 is simply a better machine overall. I honestly don’t see them needing a true major upgrade for at least another 4 years or more and even then, they should be able to make it available through direct download instead of needing a whole new system.

How long did we play the PS2 before they upgraded? 6 or 7 years?
I do agree wholly that in terms of technological aspects, the PS3 is quite clearly the best. When I look at interface and operation of the machine, the online capabilities it supports and its overall resume of games, I’d still take the 360. I know it’s different for every person, but it’s not like I’m inexperienced with the PS3. It’s just hard for me to support Sony sometimes when they seem so intent on mediocrity and trying to screw over all their customers the best they can.

It’s the best card that was ever made Thats for sure. It’s restricted to card per deck(your allowed to have four of the same card in your deck) in vintage which is a format most people don’t even play because you can win the game before the person your facing even gets a chance to play.

Not to mention last I heard it sells for about 500+ on eBay.

I need a great Xbox360 game to buy/play. College is boring me :D.

Only one, I can’t afford any more. I have Madden, and Mass Effect. If you could recc ONE game to me, what would it be? I need something that will hold my attention (Mass Effect has not, at all).

It leads to turn one wins… so yeah. It’s good. Very good. Like worth a LOT of money good.

seriously?!? fable 2, gears of war 2, fallout 3 are all coming out in the next 5 weeks. But if you want a game that has a good story and holds your attention for awhile try lost odyssey. I spent close to 70 hours on that game.

How do you figure? Microsoft is just trying to appeal to the public. They got critisized for being appealing just to the mature audience. So now they are trying to appeal to mature and younger audiences. But of course Gear of war, Halo 3, and Call of Duty 4 aren’t hardcore by any means.

I used to have a couple of them, but they were only worth about $30 at the time. That fucking game cost so much money.
