Some games are only available on PC or MAC. This is the case with the Fallout games and a lot of other RPG’s. As far as I know, Fallout 3 will only be on a computer platform. I honestly don’t play video games often enough to plop down $600 or whatever obscene price they’re asking for a PS3. I haven’t even bought a new game in about a year–the last one was God of War II. But I 'm a big fan of Fallout, which is the only reason I might spend a couple hundred on upgrading my PC.

I have fallout 3 on pre-order for my 360 - it’s going to be out across all the systems to my knowledge.
As for console prices, I can now get a 360 Arcade for £100 on special - which is around $200US - that’s not a lot, is it?

Anyone read the Star Wars: Legacy comic books? I just finished the first 2 TPB’s now really want to know what happens in the 3rd.
I have read them, Im kinda sitting on my hands with them at the moment. I will wait about 6 months then get all the comics at once and read them. Right now am up to where they try to take the Empiers new ship. I Also really like the knights of the Old Republic comics too. I want to get into rebellion as well.

KoTOR is a decent book, I’ve read the 1st 2 TPB’s and will be reading the 3rd soon.

I need to put a pre-order in on it myself. Again, I’m debating 360 vs PS3 on this one. Not sure what platform I want to get it on.
The gameplay demo videos on Gamespot look pretty awesome.

I was debating doing so. Walmart is pretty good at getting these on time and I don’t think the demand for Blue Ray is high enough yet for them to be sold out.

I hope I’m right.
I don’t think you’ll have anything to worry about. Most of the stores around here usually have plenty of Blu-Ray copies of movies when they come out. Like you said, I just don’t think the demand for Blu-Ray is that high at the moment. At least not at their current prices.
The only reason I pre-ordered it is because I bought a few things off Amazon for my Dad’s birthday a few weeks ago and figured I might as well since I was already placing an order. Otherwise, I just would have bought it in the store.

Yeah, I’ve been keeping my eye on that too. I don’t have Blu-ray yet though - you damn PS3 owners.
This is what I’m pre-ordering tomorrow:
That’s another no-brainer, as far as buying it and watching it 100 times goes. That and The Incredible Hulk.
SSC, you really didn’t see Iron Man? You need to watch it ASAP next Tuesday. We might have to pull your Geek Card otherwise.

You might as well take mine because I have yet to see Iron Man or Dark Knight. I hate seeing movies in the theaters. I’ll probably pick both up when they hit the stores though.

Intending to watch them is not the same as refusal to watch them. Lots of people don’t like dealing with the theater, even I’m close to not dealing with it anymore.
If you were refusing to watch them, then yes, definite Geek Card revoking would occur. Since you are planning on watching them, you are given a pass.
My only issue with watching Iron Man next week is trying to decide which pizza place I’m going go with. Iron Man night is going to be pizza night!

Oh how I fucking loathe the movie theater. If you are anything above 5’10" you have your knees in your chest the whole time. And nothing grinds my gears like people talking during movies at the theater.
I do that at home all the time, but I’m not going to pay $9.50 to MST3K it up and not to mention annoy the shit out of everyone else there.
I had pizza night last night. Watched Pride Final Conflict 2003. Pizza was a pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and jalapenos. Beer was Leinie’s Oktoberfest. Yum.

Yes, people at the theater do annoy me. The thing for me now is that tickets at my local theater just jumped up to $11.50. I can almost buy the DVD for that much and that’s almost half the cost of a Blu-Ray disc.
Considering that I have a pretty nice setup at home, it’s getting to the point to where it just makes more sense to wait and skip all the hassle of the theater or save it only for the movies I MUST see right when they come out.
As a fellow MST3K-er, sometimes it’s more fun to watch stuff at home anyway. Bad movies rule!
I know I’m probably going to go all-meat like I usually do for the pizza. The beer I’m not sure yet. Either Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale or perhaps an Oktoberfest beer since those are starting to show up at my local BevMo.

I’ve seen every Bond movie the day it’s was released since License to Kill, but I’m seriously considering letting that little ritual slip just because of my distain for movie theaters.
$11.50? I thought I had it bad. How do you people afford to live in California? What is minimum wage there? Like $50k/year?
I would be all over any Stone brew given your location. They make a tasty beer.
