Geek S**T

Really? Sigourney and Hamilton set precedents, sure, but currently…no badder chick than Milla Jovovich. Definitely badder than Jolie can play.

Did anyone watch the movie Serenity, based on the show, Firefly?

What an awesome film. Great writing, great story line. Awesome cast.

And I miss Judge Dredd and the ABC robots. Have to watch that again soon.

Serenity is one of the reasons I started watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I like Summer Glau.

Milla Jovovich’s only decent movies so far have been Resident Evil and The Fifth Element.

She needs to pick better scripts.

I think her acting ability and potential for playing a badass female role is way high.

Better scripts? Definitely…

My classmate in college was friends with her family and had Milla’s cell number. I didn’t believe that it belonged to her, so my classmate called the number and let me listen to the voicemail. Now that’s a voice that can make any word sound dirty.

That reminds me… I actually enjoyed reading the resident evil books (and playing the games).
I hate how they think they have to change VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING when making a movie out of it… WTF, they should have just given it a new name…
The books were more in depth about the characters (easy reads, but as I’ve said… Quite enjoyable imo), the producers should have used those as a base… Or maybe they could have made the movies about what happens after the books…

Damned waste. Now we have some decent-to-watch action movies and that’s it.

Judge Dredd… Ha, I still have that movie on VHS somewhere…

The Judge Dredd comics rock.

There needs to be a game company that specializes in ONLY classics, redone for consoles.

Judge Dredd on the 360 or PS3? Or even the PSP? Sick.

I’d love it if Duke Nukem (Took) Forever came out on the consoles as well. I realize this has not yet been released, but hope the truly geek will appreciate the sarcasm.

I don’t think it will ever be released.
They started working on that thing over a decade ago, if I remember correctly, and have had multiple versions/engines which they ultimately all scrapped…

#Edit: Sarcasm appreciated.

Duke Nukem II is the only way.

Duke Nukem 3D was the best.

I literally spent a good year everyday after school playing that game with friends over our school network.

Sigourney will always be number one. The Resident evil series was okay I still feel it didn’t do the console games justice. Those films weren’t gritty enough.

Ah… the classic 32-bit pixelated titty shows. I need to find that damn game…

Well I really want to get a 80GB PS3 now. But i’m confused, i’ve read a few reviews on Amazon/Gamespot/Game.

Some people appear to have a problem with the lack of a memory card reader in the 40gb and 80gb versions of the PS3. Can’t you just save to the hard drive?

Also there are complaints of there being only 2 USB ports(over the 4 ports the now extinct 60gb PS3 offered), but I think that 2 ports would be more than enough.

And what about the controllers, they are wireless right? So if 4 controllers are being used it doesn’t matter if you have 2 USB ports or 4.

Help me out people

I’m not sure about the memory card reader. My 40 GB doesn’t have one, but I don’t recall if the other models did. That’s really not an important feature to me though, so I’ve never really cared. The save games use the hard drive, so that’s all I really need.

The 40GB only has 2 USB ports, but it does support 4 wireless controllers, so again, this really isn’t an issue for me. The only time I need to use the USB ports are when I charge my controllers. I take that back, I’m using one of the USB ports for the dongle for my wireless remote, but even then I only need the other USB port for charging the controllers.

It actually supports SEVEN wireless controllers. I have the 40 gig also. My remote doesn’t use a USB port.

Right now, I only use the USB port for my flash drive so I can listen to music through it. From what I understand, they have a wireless keyboard you can attach through the USB.

You can hook up 7 controllers using the same USB port.

Prof, you still playing Assassins Creed - that is if you have electricity your way?

I’m just getting stuck into a session now since work has been keeping me away from the games.

Ah, I didn’t know it supported seven. That’s good to know, not that I’d ever probably need it, but it’s still good to know.

I didn’t buy Sony’s PS3 remote (not sure if that’s the one you got or not). I bought a different remote by Nyko that uses a IR dongle in one of the USB slots. I went this route because I have a Harmony universal remote and it doesn’t support Bluetooth and the PS3 doesn’t have IR support. Once I got the Harmony remote to sync up with the IR dongle from the Nyko remote I was able to get everything controlled with the universal remote.

I love that game. I don’t even understand people saying it’s boring. It took me 4 tries to kill one of those guys because my strategy had to be to take out about 30 guards on the top of a building so that I couldn’t be surrounded after sneaking in with a group of monks.

Maybe those who claim they hate it had it set on the easiest setting. The environment in this game is so realistic compared to other things I’ve played, I just think it should get more attention.

Yeah, Sony’s remote is bluetooth. It would free up one USB port for you.

Once I get the wireless keyboard, it’s on. Watching youtube on the tv screen is a good thing.

Yes, but in The Fifth Element she turned in a performance that no one previously mentioned could. And she is also far, far, hotter than the competition.

Hotter than the sun.
