I definitely don’t want to spoil anything for you then. I thought it was interesting though.

I’ll be watching it when I get home from work. Hopefully it’s better than the majority of last season.
Also - TFU is thus far rocking my face off.

Dude I’ve been so out of touch with that show it’s not even funny. Watched it religiously for the first 2 or 3 seasons, then schedule changes, network changes, and some teen\soap opera subplots later just fell out of the mix.
Gonna have to pick up some of the DVDs to catch up.
This is the last season right?
Heard Michael Rosenbaum left which is a shame because he’s a DAMN good actor. I think he’s the best Lex Luthor I’ve seen, comics or otherwise. Although the one from the Superman TAS was damn good too.

Yeah, he’s gone unfortunately. I think they made a mistake not wrapping it up last season while he was still a part of the cast. I’m pretty sure he said after the sixth season that the seventh would be his last, so it’s not like they didn’t know in advance.
I’m hoping they’ll be able to bring him back for an episode or two and try to tie everything up.
As far as I know this is the last season. Hopefully they end on a high note. I thought last season was kind of weak and all over the place.
I gave up on Smallville. The weird JLA/Teen Titans amalgamation, the constant “meteor freaks,” and baby-Supes uninspired acting. Soon as I heard of a non-Kryptonian Doomsday (or, more awesome, the Doomsday from the JLU cartoon) I abandoned it completely.
What’s up on Supernatural, though?

BBS’s?
I remember being a kid and my older brother sending me the full version of Wolfenstein 3D on 3 1/2" diskette in an envelope via regular mail. Had just bought myself a SB16. Hooked it up to a stereo receiver and a set of speakers I’d salvaged in the trash.
Thatoldschool gaming was the shit
I’m tempted to launch a new website just on it.
Cowpuncher, you are a man after my own heart!..Keep me posted if you build that site, I may have some files to contibute…Oldschool FPS still rules(Maybe not as “pretty” as the new stuff, but more gun & run, less obfuscating puzzles/plot!)…

Syndicate Wars for PS1 was killer. I never knew there was a PC version.
This is what I used to play on PC, fucking awesome game and the music was great too.
There is some irony here, in that I cant get Syndicate Wars to run on my sophisticated Dell PC, but have very fond memories of playing original Syndicate on a lowly 486 and it ran with no problems…
Syndicate is the only non-FPS shooter that was worth a shit IMO…(I’m gettin all nostalgic now…/
Anyone have any tips on how I might get it to run, BTW?..

I don’t know. I tend to give that show a lot of credit in spite of minor fuck ups (like bringing Pete back for one episode just so they could push Stride gum as a sponsor for an hour…not THAT sucked).
I think bringing in Cyborg, Flash, Green Arrow and Aquaman were good choices considering they try to keep it “clean” on that show.
If they had gone in a direction of getting him to meet Bruce Wayne or something like that, I doubt it would have worked well.
Their concept of Brainiac has been very well done. Supergirl is just eye candy though and about as flat a character as you can get. Luckily…that’s all that’s flat about her so I tolerate it.

All, the “Quest” games by Sierra were great in my book.
Space Quest, King’s Quest, the Quest for Glory series. I even liked the Krondor games.
for sure. And those early Police Quests, Leisure Suit Larry’s and The Black Cauldron version that Sierra put out were all good times.
Has anyone here had a chance to finish Metal Gear Solid 4 yet? My rec center here on campus has it, so I pretty much parked myself there for hours at a time after my workouts a few weeks ago. Best game I’ve ever played, and I didnt have to drop $500 to play it.

You need a DOS emulator. I believe one is called DOS Box, but I forget. I have used one to run MANY games though have not tried Syndicate Wars.
There are entire web sites dedicated to old school DOS games. Check it out.
And for the love of god…
Will MSG4 and Resident Evil 5 come out on the 360 so I don’t have to buy two systems? Jeezus.
I heard the next Final Fantasy will be out on 360. That’s a nice change. Too bad the best one so far was FF VII.
Does ANYONE remember a game called Tropico? Goddamn, that was fun.
Based off the Sim City style games, you are a dictator of a Caribbean island. You can assassinate people that vote against you in upcoming elections, build plantations, etc. Awesome game.
Monkey Island was another fantastic adventure game. And Grim Fandango was phenomenal…great story, art, music, humor. I need to find that CD…

LOL.
The Sarah Conner Chronicles
Is it just me, or is she (Lena Headey) a fairly bad ass actress?
I never watched this on tv. I guess I should have.
For all you DS owners out there, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is making its way to the DS this winter. Nintendo Power’s November issue is supposed to have a huge feature on the game.
From what I know right now:
-feature cell-shaded graphics,
-be free-roaming, and set in Liberty City
-3D with a isometric viewpoint
-shorter-designed missions and if you fail, you’ll be taken back to where the action began
-touch screen will be used for your character’s PDA; gameplay will be handled by using the control pad and buttons
-autoaim feature (you can disable by using D-pad) and some auto-driving (also can be disabled)
-likely to receive a Mature rating, so expect blood and whatever else you’re used to seeing in GTA
I think this sounds really promising for us DS owners. I could see myself spending a lot of time with this game if it’s done right.

It’s a good show. There’s a been a few inconsistencies with the movies that I wasn’t wild about when I noticed them, but I like the show enough that it doesn’t bother me.
I really like the way Season 2 has started.

You think she’s a bad actress?
“What makes this woman think she can speak in front of men?”
“Because only Spartan women give birth to real men.”
But even though I think she’s a good actress, Linda Hamilton will always be Sara Connor. With Sigourney Weaver coming in a close second as “Bad Ass Chick of All Time.”

I said “BAD ASS”, not “bad actress”. She is damned good in scenes where she has to show emotion without going over the top. If it weren’t for her performance, I doubt I would have watched much past the first episode.

Misread it then.
I like the show over all, but I agree that her acting is the high point. And she’s not bad to look at either.
I just wish they did something after Judgment Day happens. We all know what happens up until that point but nothing after.
