Hopefully TFU will be in the “usual places” in half the time as there are a few people who have copies already, GTA IV was up almost a week before its release date. Make no mistake I’m still buying it, but man I’m having some serious withdrawals and I haven’t played it yet.

I’m sure you won’t have any issues finding TFU in ‘alternative places’. I’ll be buying it for sure. I’ve been hooked since I’ve played the demo. You are right about withdrawals already. I don’t think I’ve ever worn out a demo like I have with TFU.

I’ve worn out the demo too, must’ve played it 100 times already. I’m going to kick ass when the game comes out.

Btw, Himora is that the Secret Apprentice in you avatar? I remember reading the novel and a vision described his appearance as being similar to that pic.
PSP users: how easy/difficult is it convering music downloaded from your iTunes to mp3 format? I’m trying to figure out how to do this b/c MLB: The Show allows you to make custom soundtracks but it’s not recognizing the songs I currently have on my PSP, which I ripped from my iTunes.

That pisses me off as well and iTunes is slowly losing my respect by doing things like that. You can’t play their music on any other device because of that. The only solution I have is to make a MUSIC CD, not a data disc, and the convert that to MP3 using my desktop computer.

Unfortunately, that takes a hell of a long time.
Yeah, probably not worth the effort to do that. Definitely annoying that iTunes has their music encrypted in such a way that you can’t use it on other platforms.

I’m really starting to love all the things I can do with the PSP, though. I really didn’t use it much when I first bought it, but now I find myself using more than my 360.

It takes a long time to load depending on your computer but it does give a decent demo of the game.

I don’t know what happened to the post about this I already made - But has anyone else tried Braid on XBox Live Arcade yet?

It’s a lush, hand-rendered game that brings the component of time travel and how your actions affect time and your environment around you. It’s tough to explain, but there’s much more to it. As I said before, there’s beautiful water-color-esque visuals, a nice, soft composed soundtrack; a deep, moving story, and puzzles that will make any of you feel like little children. Not only that, but it pays homage to many old-school games, especially Mario.

Check out the demo at the very least!

Here’s an example screen from the aforementioned game.

Yes, I’ve played the demo a couple days ago, very deep and engaging story. It’s like Mario with a introspective soul. The background images reminds me of a lovely shroom trip I went on back in college. I am gonna download the full version of the game as soon as I log some more time in Madden '09. My skills aren’t where I want them yet. Braid is surly going to be next on my playlist.

Speaking of Mario here is Seth Mcfarlane’s take on the story. It’s hilarious:

No dude that was something else.

Spoiler

In the novel it said he was seeing out of slits, and after reading the Rise of Darth Vader novel, Vader definitely doesn’t have slits for eyes.

He was also throwing objects at the guy which Vader did not do when he killed Galen’s father. Also Galen’s father was in the background and said he did not wish that life for Galen.

I do, but that’s been discussed in some of the threads in SAMA.

I hate to say it, but I already took Too Human back. It was really fun at first, but I got extremely tired and frustrated with it after maybe the 5th level.

Hopefully, your experience will be better.
That’s a shame. Did you get online to play at all? I’m about done with the 2nd level…maybe right now. I kind of wish there was some type of gauging on where you are in the level. I must have spent ~4 hours on this one level…no idea if I was close to the end or not.

I keep a Ronnie Coleman and Vic Martinez training vid (along with Jason Britton motorcyle stunt vids) on mine. Nothing helps you make sure you get your meals in on time like portable inspiration.

Nah, I never bothered with the online play. I did think some of the levels were way too long, but that really wasn’t one my gripes with the game. However, it is kind of frustrating when it takes 1-2 hours to get through a level simply because of it’s length.

Let me know when you get a little further and we’ll see if you start to notice some of the things I did. You may not notice what I did, which would probably mean you’re just better at the game than me.

XBL Arcade Thoughts -

Bionic Commando: Rearmed is too old school. Fuck not jumping. I know they’re trying to stay true to the original, but the controls are so frustrating.

Braid is beautiful.

Castle Crashers is like The Simpsons Arcade Game + Alien Hominyd. Awesome old school brawler.

Ahh dont worry, any1 with over 22000 posts on a forum is a geek to me anyway, you dont need to use 90% to cover it up.

I think the real geek is the one who looks at a thread with over 46 pages and still only responds to the first post with a sad attempt at a put down.

Then again, “geek” can be a compliment. Being internet retarded can’t.

cool mate, ill keep that in mind.

i have a thing (non sexual) for kratos, and tom clancy games

Has anyone caught the first episode of “Fringe” on Fox??
