Has anyone caught the first episode of “Fringe” on Fox??

I really enjoyed it…looks promising in an X-Files sort of way…

Ugh… that’s not that JJ Abrams bullshit, is it?
lol…yes? I thought it was interesting…considering.

I enjoyed it as well. I just hope it doesn’t end up being too much of an X-Files clone or fall into the trap of never having the plot advance after like 3-4 seasons.

OR even after the first 3-4 episodes. We shall wait and see…did ya’ll happen to see the “sneak peak” for 24?

Force Unleashed this week! WHOOOO!

Sorry, I guess I just didn’t like Lost very much. Any show that brings up an issue towards the end of the season, and then in the next season never brings it up again (the monster on Season 1) just doesn’t seem to be of high quality.

If it’s X-Filesish though, I may have to check it out.

I’m pumped for it, but Lego Batman also comes out this week, and those games are fun as hell. I wish that the Force Unleashed would have been pushed back. I keep hearing a lot of things about glitches and bugs, and I really hope that they’re all fixed. I’m going to do a ‘wait-and-see’ for this one… not that I have a choice (College is too expensive.)

The reviews for force unleashed are out(7.3 on ign), and so are the ripped torrents. I had no idea the weren’t planning on putting a multiplayer in. I remember playing multiplayer on my ps1 forgot the name of it though and it was really fun running around with my friend lightsabering shit up. Those memories were actually the driving force behind wanting to get the game(I’m not a hardcore star wars fan). That and i need an action game to play. Ninja Gaiden 2 it is. Saves me some money too cause i can get it second hand.

It’s getting okay reviews, but that’s not going to stop me from buying it and playing it for hours and hours.

Damn son you got jacked up!!

Funny you say that…I haven’t watched Lost since the first season.

Marvel Comic Shit

Who were the first Avengers (the one with Black Panther)?

Anyone remember Jedi Knight (FPS game) for the PC? Dear god that game was incredible.

Bule-ray isnt the reason you cant tell much differance, its the TV. Blue-Ray can run past 1080p thats why I have bought an HD TV yet b/c the resolutin is going to go up again sooner or later. Also it holds something like 3x as much data as reg HDDVD.
If you’re holding off on an 1080p big screen because you’re waiting for prices to continue falling, that’s all fine and good.

If you’re holding off for that next-gen HDTV (looks like it’ll be 1440p), you’re likely wasting time now and wasting money later. Just keep in mind there are limits to the pixel resolutions our human eyes are actually capable of discerning, even though electronics manufacturers will continue to roll out technical advancements (with accompanying “advanced” sticker prices).

Jedi Knight, and the rest of the Dark Forces family, were all awesome games. The only one I never really got into was Jedi Academy.

X-Wing and Tie Fighter will always be my two favorites though.

I still actually have my copies of all of those games.

Holy crap did I blow entire weekends playing X-Wing vs Tie Fighter. That game owned my freakin soul.

I played the second Jedi Knight game. I enjoyed it, but once you got all the Force powers maxed out, it was a little too easy(even on the hardest setting). The final boss(lizard dude guy)I smoked the first time out.

My hands hurt after Castle Crashers. These new controllers weren’t designed for button mashing!

Same here, I felt like I swung at the guy 2 times and then it did some special move automatically and like insta-killed the guy. I was expecting a challenge and was left going, “Oh, that was it?”

I remember when Tie Fighter came out. I think I called Babbage’s and Electronics Boutique every day asking if it finally came in. I definitely had some marathon gaming sessions with those games.

The world of Jedi Knight was what really impressed me. Don’t think I ever beat the game.

Syndicate Wars stands as my favorite PC game of all time, right next to Duke 3D, Half Life, and Prince of Persia 2. Throw in Wing Commander and Comanche. Mid to late 90s was the Golden Era of PC gaming. Even Starcraft came out in 1998 and people still play it.

What happened to video games? All about the best graphics and balls out action, no more emphasis on world-immersion and character intimacy.

I was actually ‘moved’ when I played Half Life. I remember that shit like the finest points of my adolescence. Crazy.

Which “first” Avengers? If I recall, by the time T’Challa was avenging whatever it is they venge, they had uber-membership.
