Anyone ever play the single player in the Super Smash Bros Melee or Brawl games?

That is exactly what this game looks like. And it doesn’t look much more complicated, although I’m sure it is.

I’ve heard a ton about vanguard, I think it had crazy potential, but maybe it was too complicated/huge.

The thing I liked about Warhammer was the emphasis on RvR and not one on one PvP or PvE. That’s all I ever did in WoW anyway, spending hours every night of the week to get a chance at phat lewtz wasn’t my thing. I rather spending hours killing people where I’m guaranteed the phat lewtz eventually.
There are way too many acronyms in this post.

Not all of us are at the same level of Geek.

Now there is a brownie moment, a new age Super Mario Brothers. No one here could deny spending hours playing the first version of Nintendo making those plumbers jump over psychedelic shit.

Eh…that’s all I got to say.

I have a brand new Macbook Pro with a few upgrades from the stock model, and I ran AoC pretty flawlessly. It was beautiful.

But, the game wasn’t that fun. The minimap was annoying, and the quests told you EXACTLY where to go, and what to do, it kind of took away the fun part of figuring it out. Everything is instanced, and there are copies of each zone, so you could be in the same chat channel for the zone, but you each could be in a different one. So it gets very confusing.

Also you are ported everywhere, no running except inside the zone. It killed immersion for me.

Combat was fun, I will give it that, and it’s not perfect and has tons of potential.

I never made it to end game, but from what I’ve read, it’s lacking a lot. No end game PvP, no end game PvE? How do they plan on keeping people interested?

I think AoC could have been the real ‘next-gen’ MMO, but funcom fucked it up. I fully regret spending 50 bucks for it, but at least the first month was free. :-
Wasn’t the whole end-game supposed to be the pvp in the player owned taverns and the guild controlled territories?

I think I wasted days. I was obsessed. Once I beat it…I would just have to beat it again. It became a game to see how fast I could beat the entire game…again.

Damn, we were some unimaginative bastards. I even went to go see that steaming pile of shit live action movie they came out with. You NEED mushrooms just to be able to watch it all of the way through.

LOL…just when I thought it was gone from my memory. Remember that Double Dragon movie??

At least Double Dragon didn’t induce spontaneous vomiting and explosive diarrhea.

lol…point taken…but it was close.

I really want this game. I don’t even care for the levels available out of the box, I just want to make my own. What’s really cool is that the developer’s used the game’s level creator to make all of the levels, so anything you see in them, you can make too, even your own Bosses.

I thought it was quite good lol. But then i’m easily amused.

That whole game was a shrooming experience. You have man-eating plants, sewer pipes that take you to whole other worlds, fire breathing dragons, and all to save some bitch who wouldn’t even give you a reach around. Talk about a mind fuck for kids. But like you said, it became a matter of how fast I could solve the game. How few lives you could use to finish it.

Ummm, why would a woman need to give you a reach around?? Is she boning you in the ass with a strap on? If so, I played a TOTALLY different mario bros than you did.

Holy crap, I can just remember something about it - Google has restored some memories.

noob

edit: You are not an MMO gamer, its really rediculous how many acronyms are used. I swear I’ve typed sentences with more abbreviations and acronums then real words. It’s just if everyone knows what they mean, why take the time to spell it out!

RvR: realm vs. realm
PvP: player vs. player
PvE: player vs. envirement
WoW: World of Warcraft
Phat Lewtz: Good items

I think Conan still has huge potential if they can just add a few things. It is easily the best look MMO and might have the best combat system but all the Armor from 1-80 looks the same and there really isnt anything to do but quest and grind(unless your a dick and like to run around and gank ppl who are 10 lvls lower than you)

But LittleBigPlanet and Spore both look really cool and will be intresting to see what ppl can come up with

I just hope spore doesn’t get cluttered with a bunch of terrible creature’s to the point where it is annoying to filter them out.

Does anybody care about The Force Unleashed?

I do, I gonna FSU!

Yes, a bunch of us were talking about it a few pages back. The demo came out for it last week. Based on the demo, I was impressed. It looks like it’s going to be a very fun game. I played it on both PS3 and 360 because I wanted to make sure there weren’t any major differences before I buy it.

House MD season four is out on dvd.

I know I’m biased because of the medical angle, but this has to be one of the best shows on tv. They need to loan the writers of this show out to every other show.

You too?

Yeah, I thought the first two seasons were phenomenal, particularly the ending of season 2. Really intense.

I didn’t keep up with season 3 and when 4 came on, I only watched a few. But yes, the writers in general are excellent, though season 4 got repetitive.

The side stories of seasons 1 and 2 were awesome. I hope the same is true of 3 and 4 when I watch them on DVD.

Oh, and the absolute best writing I’ve ever seen?

Californication. It was on Showtime. Wicked writing and Duchovny is an animal for nailing that role like a cheap hooker.
