Just my Opinion, but Gears of War was an over rated. There wasnt much substance there, not much story and it was just another shooter in the Third person.

Thats one of the reason I always thought the PS3 was or would be a better system than 360. The only notable exclusives 360 has is Gears and Halo3 but once more, just shooters and what do they have coming that will make you turn your head?

PS3 has MGS4, Uncharted, Resistance and on deck they have Tekken 6, Kill Zone 2, FFXIII. Plus you have all the other cross platform games like Call of Duty 4, GTA and others.

So will it be play a great or good shooter? Or will it be play great Shooters, Shooter/stealth games, RPGs and fighters? O and dont forget the Best Blur-Ray player on the market and the only one that I know of that updates itself.

(Edit) Wait I forgot 360 had Mass Efect but I played it on my PC and It looked and played better plus I didnt have to pay 400 MS points(not sure how much that is in $) to get the update/add on, so 360 looses again.

LoL
The Oooold talk and cough rutine A? You sly dog!

I wouldnt call it being a “Fanboy” as much as I would call it a Microsoft “Hater”. I would much rather play game on a PC than either of the consoles. But games like Tekken and MGS dont come out on PC.

The CoD4 lobby for Xbox live is it worse game lobby I have ever seen. On the PC I can see every game being played and pick the one I want and not have to wait for one to be picked for me.

But am I wrong? Im not saying Gears was a bad game, But is wasnt a great game either. But maybe Gears2 will be a better, longer, more complete game. Plus the ppl who bought the HD plug-in for Xbox now have $50 paper weight and will have to go spend more $ for the Blue-Ray plug-in.

Also what 360 exclusive games are coming out that will make me want to buy that system? Gears isnt it, what else do they have?

O and I dont know how I did this but, God of War 3 is a PS3 exclusive as well. So not “Fanboy” but “Hater” and “Realest”. PS3 is a better, not system, but investment. Like the Xbox befor it, the 360 will be a dead system when the PS3 is in its 6th and 7th year.

Speaking of my PSP, how the heck do I download music onto that thing? I really haven’t messed with that option at all.
Im not real sure but I would think it works like any other Ipod or mp3 player. Download the songs to your PC or maybe even a PS3 and the transfer the files to your PSP. I also think you have to have the soft ware update for it to work.

I bet you could got to Playstaion.com and go to the PSP FAQ/help section and it will tell you.

That’s exactly how it works. You plug the usb(PS3) into your home computer and click and drag the music files directly into the music folder of the PSP. It’s that simple.

I never used mine for music exclusively because the sound quality (volume) is less than my iPod.

Anybody know any good, medium-low requirement somewhat slow paced games for computer?

I just need something that kills time and is fun, but my computer sucks ass. I’m looking for things like Sim City 4000, Civilization 4 ect…
I like my strategy games!

But if you really want a stratagy game you can try Simcity Societies, Dawn of War, Supreme Commander, Company of Heros, Overlord or Warcraft 3. But you might be suprised what you can run with your POS it just wont be on high

Thanks, I’ll check those out when I get home. Most games I play are 2002-2005 really. Games like Command and Conquer Generals for example. But yeah, I’ll take a look after. Thanks

Sounds easy enough. Thanks. I have an iPod, but figured I might throw some music on the PSP in case I don’t want to travel with both.

Is that going to be on the PS3 also? The first one was some serious awesome.

I think it’s 360-only

Quoted for face-rubbing-in of PS3 owners.

. . .

I’m buying the PS3 soon as Tekken 6 or God of War 3 hits. They, and MGS4 are all I need.

I have yet to purchase a PS3 or 360, but the Blu-rey thing has me interested.

Tell me Eddie Gordo is going to be in Tekken 6! Man I remember fucking people up at the arcade on Tekken 3 with that dude.

I honestly can’t imagine the X-Box being better than the PS3. The design is awesome. It makes NO noise while running and the tech controls are about as easy to use as you can make them (based on the PSP tech controls). It also automatically updates from the internet.

Long term, i don’t see the X-Box winning out here. The Blu Ray makes regular dvds look better if you have HD. I’ve tested this out three times already and you can definitely see a difference.

There’s room enough for both, always has been, always will be.

But (and I say this as a 360 owner) - the PS3 is far better. It’s just their game library that steered me away originally, which has likely vastly improved by now.

The 360 release was in typical Microsoft fashion - stuff didn’t work. I’ve sent mine back in for a new processor because I had one of the originals. Now the CD drive makes a ton of noise.

That would piss me off. It surprised me that so many X-Box fans were so casual with the updates and repairs as if that was normal. If I pay over 400 bucks for something, I want it to work right. I would have sold mine and bought a PS3 if that was me. Instead, X-Box lovers seem to act like the ‘rings of death’ are a pop culture status symbol.

I like my 360 and there are some good games out for it. However, I think they made a lot of mistakes this time around. It’s too loud, the hardware has high failure rates, they didn’t include either an HD or Blu-Ray drive, they had too many versions (basic, pro, elite).

The 360 Elite cost over $500 when it first came out and still didn’t include either an HD or Blu-Ray drive, yet it still suffered from all the problems that the earlier models did. That’s ridiculous!

I think a lot of people feel burned by Microsoft right now. I’m sure I’m not the only person that will think twice before buying the next XBOX. If there even will be another XBOX.

I think Sony got it right with the PS3. I’m not sure I’ve been more satisfied with any console ever, as I am with the PS3.

How’s PS3’s online component work? As in billing, etc.

I ended up going back to a PS3 when they enhanced the remote play features, this was a HUGE plus for me since I have a PSP. Now my PS3 is accessible from anywhere that has a wireless internet connection.

Though I’m half tempted to get a 360 when Gears 2 hits. Gears 1 was the shit.

Agreed. I can store music on this and will play just like it would if I attached my iPod to the surround sound system. the harddrive is pretty much like with any computer. I am looking into whether I can hook it up to my PC so that I can transfer MP4 movie files.

The motion-touch sensitive on/off and eject ‘button’ even shows they put some time into this.

I understand that Halo had people rushing into buying the X-box, but I am betting more wish they would have waited.

It’s free.
NeelyDan wrote:

They charge in your local currency (credit card). The only thing you must pay for are games and add-ons, movies and movie rentals. Playing games online is free.

That’s horseshit.
NeelyDan wrote:

What’s horseshit?

Anything that allows me to use a game I bought (including online access) is built into the system for free.
