On another note entirely; Iron Man comes out on Friday and I’m fucking stoked.
The Greatness that is May 08
Ah, my birthday. Yes, ‘great’ it is.
I was ALWAYS a fan of Iron Man but never ran into fellow fans. I wonder why?
It never had a successful cartoon in the 90s. That’s why you find a lot of X-men and Spiderman fans these days, but Hulk and Iron Man fans are far and few between.
DC’s Justice League kept all of their heroes in play, Marvel doesn’t have that luxury.

Iron Man and War Machine were always two of my favorites. Was never a real big fan of the Hulk untill the last few years and Im look forward to the new movie. As for DC, Batman was only the character I ever really licked.
If you like Ross check out his Project Superpowers series, which features golden age characters like the original Daredevil(now known as the death defying devil for copyright purposes)

Ironman DID have a cartoon in the early 90’s, I used to watch it daily before my karate lessons when I was in elementary school, haha.
Really? What channel? Was it any good, above nostalgia value?

I didn’t like the first season it was on sundays here on UPN with the Fantastic Four. The first season was Force Works, no USAgent, it was Hawkeye instead, the second season they focused on the armor and re did the animation.
If you get Toon Disney this Sunday at 6 they’re airing some episodes. I remeber that the father from Full House was the voice of War Machine(it was just funny hearing his voice and going hey!)
I took a risk thinking the outcome would be some crappy product, especially since I was using copyrighted pictures to create mine (I used the picture above).
It took less than a week to get in the mail and I am VERY impressed with it. It came perfectly sized with the image looking better than it did in the photo with a glossy finish.
If you have a lap top you want to personalize, you may want to check them out…just don’t use the same image, bitches.
While I do not have one, a co-worker does and I must say I was pretty impressed. It’s basically a piece of hardware you hook up to your Internet and cable and then presto… you can watch your TV programming anywhere with an Internet connection, such as your mobile phone or laptop.
Hell, you can even watch things recorded on your DVR or something sitting in your DVD player.
On top of that, no fees. Just the cost of the hardware.
The thing that stunned me most about this was when my co-worker showed me how video displayed on his phone. It’s not 1080p or something like that, but still pretty damn good.
I think this would be most useful for anyone who is a road warrior and especially for someone who is a road warrior sports nut who doesn’t want to miss any games from his favorite team while traveling.

Oh, definitely. The new Batman looks really good. I like the direction that Heath Ledger took for the Joker. Not taking anything away from Jack Nicholson’s prior role, but I like the darker feel of the movie they’re taking.
As for Iron Man, it may be more of a rental for me, though.
Now the new Hulk, on the other hand, may actually be good because of Edward Norton. Too bad they still kept the Hulk too damn big.
Somehow I find it difficult to pass Robert Downey Jr as a superhero
Tony Stark was a drunk and a womanizer who simply liked being rich and exploiting other people. He IS Tony Stark. That was why NO ONE thought he was Iron Man in the comics.
I need to eat my words on this one! Iron Man was awesome, RDJ was perfect for the role. This is a geek movie deluxe, there is enough techno gadgets and graphics to impress any hardcore geek out there. I enjoyed the film and I will encourage anyone that enjoys comic movies to watch it.

To add…do not leave the theater, there is more after the credits
Reading what you guys like, this show fits right in. They are geeks who review Movies, TV shows, Video games & sometimes Comic Books. Except it’s got high production values, and they’re actors/directors, so they’re geeks who can articulate what they think, and aren’t annoying to watch.
Damn, I keep hearing about how great Iron Man is, and that Robert Downey was PERFECT for the role. The good thing about comic movies are you’re essentially guarenteed sequels, even if they’re smoltering piles of shit like the Fantastic Four.

…Iron Man will have a sequel. And so will Spiderman. And Wolverine. And Captain America (it will come). If we’re lucky, it’ll be the SAME sequel.

Wizard magazine has already been told by Quesada and Avi Arad that they want to do an Avengers movie with the same actors, and that Downey makes an appearence in Hulk(also one of the new toys is a titanium man that looks like a Gaurdsman for the Hulk movie)
Just got back from Iron Man now its very good, a must see for all G33KS! Could someone PM me what happend after the credits I REALLY want to know. Thanks!
