Satellite radio is amazing…

Have you had any reception issues since the Sirius/XM merger? We’ve got Sirius in the car, and it seems to take forever to acquire a signal lately, and it cuts out more often as well.

It might have something to do with the mountains. A friend of mine had the same problem with his; he eventually got rid of it.[/quote]

I don’t think so, I had no problems driving from Denver to Glenwood Springs with it last May (except of course in the tunnels), and now it freaks out on I-25. Might have a bad connection or something.

I’m still considered about the availability of eBooks.

What percentage of new releases are available, simultaneously, as eBook and hardcopy?

That’s the stat that is important.

If I can remember I’ll ask him next time I see him.

The VGA awards are next week on SpikeTV, I’ve never watched them but they’re going to be showing some fresh God of War III goodness, so I kinda have to this year.

- God of War III. Kratos soon arrives on the PlayStation 3 and only the VGAs will bring you the first-ever glimpse at this game. And let me put all you skeptics to rest right now. I’m happy to confirm you’ll be seeing real-time gameplay footage.

If they show a short teaser and tell me it’s still a year and a half away, I swear I’m gonna punch someone in the dick.

wow did I manage too kill this thread? Has anyone watched the new transformers animated series? I’ve tried multiple times and all that happens is I get a taste of vomit in my mouth, I mean what the hell? I grew up with optimus prime, bumblebee, starscream and megatron.

I was stoked when I saw the movie and it exceeded my expectations, then I bought the original animated movie and relived possibly the most tragic event in my childhood(optimus prime dying)…why can’t they make cartoons like they used too :frowning:

Except for the Clone Wars cartoon, Cartoon Network has fucked up cartoons and the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon has fucked up every thing else!!

It started with half ass crap like Power Puff Girls and Dexter’s Lab. Now every thing,(with few exceptions like Avatar) everything has that flat look to it. Can no one draw anymore?

And this isnt really the place for it but The Disney channel is nothing more than a PIMP and if I had kids I would NEVER let them watch that shit. That goes for Sponge Bob too. If Hanna Montana were to drop dead reading this right now the world would be a better place.

There is slight hope on the horizon: Wolverine and the X-Men - Wikipedia

I’ve seen the firt 12 episodes and they are very well written and the action is very well done. Wolverine is the main focus. He is a slightly more even tempered wolverine than the ones from the old X-men:TAS. Magneto is a POWERFULL bastard in this series. The story is cohesive and the plot twists are many.

Also the Spectacular Spiderman on Kids WB is done by the guy who did the original Gargoyles series. Also very well written and the action is very fast paced and entertaining. I personally think this is the best Spider-man cartoon translation that has been done.

The episodes string together and they show the tranisiton and evolution of both Spider-man and his enemies. Tivo this if you have a chance

Honestly Avatar being over, has left a large void in the “good” cartoons that are out there. And don’t EVEN get me started on Transformers. I personally think that each new version of the Transformers that comes out is a slap in the face of all the original transformers fans out there.

Is it that hard to take the Transformers seriously and produce well thought out and cohesive episodes. Beast Wars IMO took Transformers to a whole new plateu and they have dropped the ball ever since. Fuck whoever is in charge of the direction of the Transformers cartoons. /Rant

Thanks for the heads up on the Wolverine cartoon. I saw the Jetix thing, isn’t that ABC Family? Has this aired in America?

It has already started to air in Canada and some parts of europe. I believe it is going to Air in the US on Nicktoons sometime in Jan, if thats what your asking. There is a couple websites you can catch it on now if you want the web address just send me a PM.

Damn - so I found out today that we were carrying Event Horizon for $4.99 this week. I’m not sure if anyone remembers that movie, but in lieu of completing Dead Space and watching its movie, I thought it was a great price for a kickass movie.

We got one of these at work with the dev kit to play with. OMG coolness:

I swear I compared Dead Space - from the looks of the trailer and reviews, anyway - to Event Horizon. Good thriller and good call.

deb,

That is what I want to study for grad school: Interaction Design, or essentially UI design if I stick to software. Am very interested in physical design, though, such as ergonomics, etc.

Very cool

I took some interaction design courses a couple of years ago and it was pretty interesting stuff. Definitely a field I could have enjoyed. I only get to give a bit of input on such things right now.

What is your opinion of it so far?

I’m a bit time crunched this morning so I only watched the first 3 minutes of the video. It doesn’t seem that revolutionary?

So far it’s just a neat interface. A bit overpriced but cool nonetheless. And it’s not my money.

Okay, for those of you that are getting The Dark Knight on Tuesday, here are the exclusives I’ve heard about.

This BAT-POD packaging will be at both Best Buy and Target. It’s about $50 and only on Blu-Ray.

This is the Circuit City packaging. It appears to be only DVD (no Blu-Ray).

Exclusive Best Buy packaging with either Joker or Batman replica mask. This is $34.99.

Wal-Mart exclusive packaging.

And here’s the one I’m going with. The Target exclusive Batman mask packaging (similar to the Iron Man packaging). Avail in both regular DVD and Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray is $29.

I am NOT looking forward to working on Tuesday. If Iron Man’s release was as crazy as it was, it’s going to be pandemonium.
