All I can say is WOW. “Left 4 Dead” is freakin awesome.

I’m in retro heaven right. Just picked up Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff for the DS and let me say, if you enjoyed the games on the NES, you will certainly like this.
Classic gameplay, although there are a few tweaks and the game speed is a little slower than the NES versions.
One funny tidbit, the team that’s “supposed” to represent the NY Giants (no NFL license) are called the LA Supercocks. Seriously. I’m not lying.
The uniform and logo editor are good. You can get close to the actual NFL colors, but you can’t duplicate the logos so you’ll have to pick from generic birds and symbols and whatnot. You can also edit player names and tweak their attributes (can’t max the stats out, which will help level the playing field online).[/quote]
I just got the game and love it. The computer is still too easy to beat, as it was with the older console games, but being able to kick people’s asses online rock. PM me your friend code if you want to be my next victim. ![]()
I love how you have a team called the L.A. Supercocks but you’re not allowed to create “M. Cassell” because his name has “ass” in it. Seriously!

6.5/10 Ouch…

I thought so too. The graphics could be better and imo the walking speed should be slower, but damn great in co-op.
The mods expanding the co-op mode will be awesome.

I wouldn’t put a whole lot of faith in GameSpot’s reviews. The guy who wrote the review, Kevin VanOrd, also rated Too Human a 5.5, the same score as a truly horrible game Iron Man. If a developer introduces a new control scheme that strays from the tried and true formulas then its gonna get knocked down a few pegs. Mr VanOrd doesn’t seem very good at adapting to new gaming experiences, and if he can’t figure it out immediately, then to hell with the game.
GameSpot is like CNET…don’t trust the reviews.
And by the way, the new Blackberry Storm sucks. The UI is the laggiest I have ever experienced. Physically, it is a work of art to hold. The screen resolution and color accuracy are phenomenal and the touch screen works fine (though not as nice as the reviews made it out to be), but it takes forever to switch between menus and applications.
What a bunch of moron developers. It ruined the experience for me.

I felt the same way about my HTC Touch Dual - it’s so slow and unresponsive which makes an overall good phone shitty.
Does anyone have a phone that runs Window mobile smoothly? I’ve been looking at the Sony Ericsson Experia X1, though I think I may end up with an iPhone in January instead.
Yeah, I was considering the Stom vs iPhone. Which ever addressed the following, I was going to pick up:
iPhone -
MMS
32 GB capacity upgrade ( I will be watching video lectures and downloading games, apps)
Storm -
Add wifi (a RIM engineer confirmed that this would happen “soon”)
But the horrible Storm UI ruined it. I have read good things about the Sony Experia X1.
Although, the nVidia Tegra looks badass:

That is badass.
When is it due to come out?
The first video said mid-2009
I have no idea why battery technology is so slow to evolve. Weren’t we looking at fuel cells by Toshiba a couple years ago?
We need OLED screens (lower power) and fuel cells of some sort. I wouldn’t mind the next gen iPhone being marginally thicker if it means a good 30% increase in battery life.
Are you guys playing MK vs DC on a controller or joystick.

Controller.
The Flash’s moves are awesome.
A trailer featuring the environments of Batman: Arkham Asylum. I think this game is going to be badass.
A good article talking about the 10 comic hero adaptations:
I disagree that Spiderman is number 1 but the points they made about each hero/film are pretty accurate.

I almost don’t like fighting with him because he’s too fast for most of the other characters. Captain Marvel is bad ass too. It’s going to take a while to learn all of these characters.

Flash is my favourite so far - his combos are sick.
Jax has always been one of my favourites, but Batman is also a good character from what I’ve seen.

I think its a pretty revolutionary title when you look at all the sequels and “stale” games we constantly get so I hope it does well. Make sure to play the demo yourself before deciding because the experience of this game can be great for some and bad for others.

Does the retail version have that annoying training stage? If so can you skip it? I’ve played the demo so many times I can do it in my sleep.

That does look good but what type of game is it? It almost seems too well put together for just another “combat game”.

That wiki entry seems to jive with what I read in a gamer magazine a few months ago.
