Spidey 3 was a joke when they tried to make Parker act arrogant; Maguire just couldn’t pull it off and the material they gave him to work with wasn’t that great, either. That was such a mailed-in movie it was a joke.

They should really give that movie an overhaul with cast and storyline…I’m not sure how successful it was compared to the new Hulk, Ironman and Batman but it couldn’t touch any of those IMO.
Spiderman 3 was a disaster for a number of reasons, aside from Maguire’s performance. One problem was the script: Spidey 2 was written by double oscar winning writer Alvin Sargent. Spidey 3 was written by Sam and Ivan Raimi. There was bound to be a decline in quality.

The main reason for it’s generally poor reception was the fact that it was too money motivated. I get the impression that it was dumbed down in order to broaden its appeal to ‘non fans’ of the comic book.
The symbiote Spidey/ Peter Parker storyline should have been a lot darker and could have added a lot of weight to the story, if it was handled properly.

It looks like Avi Arad had put a lot of pressure on Sam Raimi to bring Venom into the story, apparently because of the character’s popularity.

Raimi had already expressed his dislike of Venom, instead preferring the more classic villains, so I don’t think that he was the best person to do the character justice (especially since he was a co-writer). As many people have said, Venom should have been given a movie to himself, and not relegated to a cameo. In short, the treatment of Venom was a rush job.

Maybe instead of a golden lasso, she can wrap her thighs around the villains to get them to tell the truth. Not that this would prevent it from being a failure though.

Throw in a scene with her singing and it will be epic!

…Has anyone been playing Fallout 3? I’m almost 20 hours and I can’t stop playing it. Which sucks too because I also have Gears of War 2 and Dead Space on the shelf but this game is too damn addicting…

The hubby says it’s like crack…and he doesn’t want to move onto a new game because he knows it will just be a new drug.

I just beat it and took it back to blockbuster today.(5 days late) Great, great game! My only gripes were…

 1. The character models were really bad
 2. only 20 lvls? I liked Morrowind and Oblivians lvling system much better
 3. Once you beat the main story thats it, there is no going back and exploring.

But every thing else in the game was GREAT! The enviornments, weapons(never did find a Big Boy =_(, the voice acting was solid with some big names like Master Cheif him self Ron Perlman and Jedi Master Liam Neeson.

An old room mate of mine HATED Oblivian b/c me and 3 other room mates played it at the same time, so it was on 24/7 for months straight. But said Fallout 3 was like watching a movie.

Hope they come out with an exspantion for it!

And I now know every word to every song that is in that damn game!!

(edit) The V.A.T.S is fucking Awesome!!
Dude I didn’t too much like Oblivion either. It wasn’t bad or anything, it just didn’t…grab me. To me, Bethesda took everything that worked in Oblivion, took out all the bad crap, and put it in Fallout 3.

I just beat Gears of War 2 today and the campaign was greatness. But the multiplayer is kind of disappointing. It takes me like 3 - 4 minutes to get a match and when I do, it boots me back to the lobby and I can’t chose whether or not to stay with the currently lobby or party up like in Halo 3 or CoD4. They really need to fix the matchmaking.

Don’t really have any other complains other than the Chainsaw is just way too powerful, and the shotty feels kind of week. I’ll hold on to this for a while to see if it is patched. If World of War doesn’t pan out for me, back to CoD 4 I go.

Speaking of which, has anyone played Call of Duty: Word at War?

Opinions?

I actually think changing her ethnicity (along with dropping that outfit…literally and figuratively) may be a good idea. She doesn’t have to be black but maybe Brazilian or someone with a darker skin tone. Would a real Wonder Woman really look like Linda Carter or Shakira?

Hopefully this will be my last interruption about Dead Space, but I finally freaking finished it tonight. My overall impressions were highly favorable, but I plan on taking a hiatus from the game because it had me stressed out all the damn time.

Although it got less scary as you learned the tactics, some of the encounters were ridiculously frantic and intense. I won’t say any spoilers, but there are some times that your gamer prowess are seriously tested - Especially if you go through the game with only one gun for the achievement, like I did!

Anyway, time to get truckin’ on Lost Odyssey.

Doesn’t really matter much to me as much as (a) she’s hot and (b) I probably wont’ see the movie anyway.

But I definitely think there are some comics that shouldn’t be made into movies and this is one of them.

Dude I had Lost Odyssey but sent it back to Gamefly. It seemed like a interesting game, and I’ve been itching for a JRPG for some time now, but I just have too much crap on my plate, i.e. Fallout 3 and Dead Space.

Also in Dead Space what do you recommend using the power nodes to upgrade? So far I’ve upgraded my suit to Level 2, gave myself more hit points, and gave my gun more damage. Should I concentrate on something else?

Not sure if everyone knows but Old Toby signed up to do Spider-Man 4. Christ man if you dont want to do it dont do it! Let the money go!

Xenia Onatopp took that route already. Viewers might feel like this isn’t something new or different, and want their money back.

Why the picture of Famke Janssen?

Is she your candidate for Wonder Woman?

GoldenEye was on TV the other day, but for some reason they cut out the first scene of Xenia killing that guy with her thighs. I was very disappointed.

I would’ve been disappointed, too. I hate when they do that shit.

By the way, I was studying at a Starbucks near a Gamestop, and when contract law would get too much to handle and I’d need a break, I would run over to Gamestop to play the PS3 which had The Force Unleashed.

Fun game, but I only played briefly and am afraid the hack-n-slash gameplay might be the meat of the experience. I’m really hoping they through in a good RPG or adventure element in there, or some wicked plot line/twist.

I just realized how much I prefer the 360 controller to the PS3 controller, too.

Hey it’s my favorite Bond girl… how’d you know PMPM?

I think that, anecdotally, chicks with dipthongs in their names tend to be quite attractive. I don’t know why.

Oh, and I have an affinity for brunettes. Bonus for her.

God came back on the 8th day and looked at Famke and said, “Damn, I’m good.”
