…Has anyone been playing Fallout 3? I’m almost 20 hours and I can’t stop playing it. Which sucks too because I also have Gears of War 2 and Dead Space on the shelf but this game is too damn addicting…
The hubby says it’s like crack…and he doesn’t want to move onto a new game because he knows it will just be a new drug.
I just beat it and took it back to blockbuster today.(5 days late) Great, great game! My only gripes were…
- The character models were really bad
- only 20 lvls? I liked Morrowind and Oblivians lvling system much better
- Once you beat the main story thats it, there is no going back and exploring.
But every thing else in the game was GREAT! The enviornments, weapons(never did find a Big Boy =_(, the voice acting was solid with some big names like Master Cheif him self Ron Perlman and Jedi Master Liam Neeson.
An old room mate of mine HATED Oblivian b/c me and 3 other room mates played it at the same time, so it was on 24/7 for months straight. But said Fallout 3 was like watching a movie.
Hope they come out with an exspantion for it!
And I now know every word to every song that is in that damn game!!
(edit) The V.A.T.S is fucking Awesome!![/quote]
Haven’t you played fallout 1 or 2? The experience/rule system in Fallout 3 is obviously different from Oblivion… All the two games share are the engine and developers. The other fallout titles were done by a different company…
I have yet to play fo3, hope it does hold up the the first/second.
Wasted a nice chunk of my lifetime playing those ![]()
Oblivion’s stock leveling-system is ok, but I didn’t like the fact that the better you got the better all enemies got. It never felt like you actually achieved anything… The enemies always match you on standard or harder difficulty levels.
And you could rarely find an exceptional piece of equipment… Mostly it was stuff that you can buy at your current level, so treasure hunting was kinda boring there…
Liked leveling up enough and then taking on that destroyed city (what was the name again? Kvatch?) with the City Guard and Imperial Army guys…
Then you could at least fight the Dremora people… If you attack too early, all you’re fighting are those dinosaur things… Which is kinda retarded.
