I just hope they make a Conan film with a different story. I hate remakes.
There are so many Conan stories to choose from, there’s no excuse to do a remake (not that that’ll stop hollywood). My only complaint with a lot of the Conan stories I’ve read is they mostly boil down to Conan Vs a Mage of some form.
I think they really missed a trick with the original two Conan films. They should have done a James Bond and released a new film every few years. There’s so much source material (Howards original stories) covering Conan’s entire life that it shouldn’t have been a struggle finding something to base a film around.
The first Conan film remains one of my all time favourite movies, despite not being able to find a completely un-cut edition (when I saw it originally as a kid, I distinctly remember a bit during the battle in the ruins where Conan basically chops the front legs off a horse to dismount the rider. Every version I’ve seen since then has him bringing his sword back then the rider falling from the horse; it’s so obvious there’s a bit cut out I have to look away every time I watch it).
I gather there was a TV series of Conan made a while back, anyone know anything about it?
Yea i remember seing it on tv during the christmas holidays as a 8 yr old and being amazed at my first sight of tits.

Anyone hear of Last Remnant, the RPG from Square Enix?
Wow.
I’ve been looking forward to that one for a while. The only disappointing thing is that I guess they were having some difficulties with the Unreal Engine to run on the PS3, so I guess it’s delayed until next year. The 360 version will be out in November though.

Wow I totally missed that series was it live action or Animated? I know there was a animated version with him and a pet phoenix.
As far as Howards books and Race, I really wouldn’t miss the opportunity to read original conan stories, it is not like it is overwhelmingly racist just a little inappropriate.

Damn guys i need help, someone gave me an old ipod 60gb that is configured for a mac.
I installed itunes, restarted, then my computer tells me i have to format the fucker.
I format it and then the ipod has a message to go to ww.apple.com/support/ipod with one of those stop signs.
Then it switches off!
Chaps, Help me out.
No other error code other than to go to the website?
He should look up his ipod version (generation…unless the 60 GB counts as one iteration and the interface was unchanged for the duration of its product cycle) then see the instructions on how to ‘reboot’ the ipod.
Usually, it is either Menu+Select (middle button) or Play+Select. Hold for about 10 seconds.
Other times you have to rebuild the database file on the ipod itself using certain software…and there are free tools for that on the net. Just look it up.
Holy shit. I knew that new Underworld chick was familiar!!!
I won’t even look it up as I am that sure it is her, but she is the Aussie psychologist (or was it investigator) from Nip Tuck. I forget the season but she was smoking.
Rhona Mitra was “Kit” on Nip/Tuck. She’s also the only reason to watch “Doomsday”, a movie that can’t decide if it wants to be another “28 Days Later” or “Mad Max”. She was a call girl in Stallone’s remake of “Get Carter” one of the best movies ever. And at one time she was the original Lara Croft model, I do believe.

She sounds like the perfect woman. I love independent women who live their own lives, and don’t require me to hang around all the damn time.
If you have never seen the Fleischer Superman cartoons then you are missing out. Produced in 1941, on a budget of about $50,000 apiece. $50,000 a piece in 1941, That was HUGE. The animation still stands up well compared to todays animation styles. If the $4.99 is a bit much to sell out, then I’m sure most or all the episodes can be found on youtube.
Mark Millar wants a 3-part epic, unfortunately Millar never learned to write for Superman.

The Dark Knight showed you can take a comic book property and make a serious film, and I think the studios are ready to listen to bigger ideas now.??
??I want to start on Krypton, a thousand years ago, and end with Superman alone on Planet Earth, the last being left on the planet, as the yellow sun turns red and starts to supernova, and he loses his powers."
This might be the science nerd in me, but I’m pretty damn sure our Sun doesn’t have the mass to supernova. Even if it did once the Sun expands to a red giant it will have already engulfed the Earth.

I just like to watch that deleted scene from Hollow Man over and over.
