Has anyone read the collections of original manuscripts of the Kull and Conan stories Del-Rey put out a few years ago? Perfect.
I have all three books of Conans Original Adventures written by Howard. I loved the writing.
I have them but havent had the motivation to read them yet so they are just sitting on my book shelf.

Thanks for the link AV.
I hate it when companies release information or posters of future films when the main actors haven’t even been chosen and filming hasn’t even started.
What is the point!
But it would be strange seeing someone other than Arnie.
Damn we need a Bodybuilder with drive and talent to break into Mainstream films like Reg Park and Arnie.
Any suggestions?
Honestly? Ernie Taylor. He fights competitively and has a “super hero” physique (or at least he did when he was competing a few years back). I don’t know if he can act at all though.
Frank McGrath? Dex? I think both would look good on the big screen and would transition well…if they could act that is. Dex is a little short but hey that hasnt stopped Tom Cruse. But just throwing out some names. To bad you cant understand a lick of wtf Big Lou is saying b/c he still looks great.
But the last bit of news I have heard was that Mike O’Hearn was in the running for both Capt. America and Conan, that was back in August…
Dirk Blackman and Howard McCain have been asked to adapt Conan, the barbarian warrior created by Robert E. Howard in the 1930s and first brought to the big screen by John Milius, Oliver Stone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1982.
The new version won’t be a direct remake of that feature however, with producer Fredrik Malmberg instead going for a darker approach to the material.
“Fans expect [these types of movies] to be more true to the source material,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s no reason why there couldn’t be a Conan movie every two years. He’s almost like Batman. He’s a dark hero. He’s a hard hero. He has to be badass, but we also have to like him.”
Lionsgate and Paradox Entertainment are overseeing, with the project now looking for a director.
Also Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Blood Diamond) is rumored to be playing play the sorcerer Thulsa Doom in a feature film that he will produce with Dynamite Entertainment…
The trade reports that Thulsa Doom, which isn’t set up at a studio yet, “will showcase the origins of the flawed hero and show how his road to hell was paved with good intentions.”
James Earl Jones played Thulsa Doom in 1982’s Conan the Barbarian.
See how that pans out.
