I’m thinking about dumping all the heist money into the car shop and ammunation place on the BAWSAQ prior to Oct 1st (I can’t palce at all next week). I figure everyone will be buying guns and moding cars right off the bat. Any thoughts?

There’s probably just a really small hitbox on the bag when it’s on the ground, using the special ability normally allows for the last second adjustments to grabbing it.
I completed the second heist this morning. I enjoy the first heist way more so far, without getting all spoilery I was a little unenthused with the way the second heist went, I picked Offshore, I’m not sure if Freighter is any better, but I’m about 99% sure it would be more fun.

Lol, probably. Hopefully I get to it tonight or tomorrow. Although I spent like 3 hours last night just driving around. Found a parachute at the top of the trolley in the north end of the island.

Dude, I’m just getting started. In games like this (with this much free roaming to do) will take me forever. I may never even finish this game if I get too caught up in free roaming past a certain point.
One thing I can say is that it quickly catches your attention as far as the story and the first missions don’t come across as “busy work”. The driving is better and the resolution of distant objects is no longer an issue like it was in GTA3…where if you drove too fast the buildings would fade and them blend back into the background.
I would be very interested in the difference a ps4 would make on the visuals because one gripe I do have is I expected more rounded animation this time but it still looks just a little blocky.
This game did the cars right and made stealing one a lot more realistic than in the past. You didn’t have to break the window before to get in and then hotwire it.
The characters are well fleshed out and the dialogue is real. You did not get thrown into a story about some Russian guy with an accent who you don’t care about roaming around New York.
So, yeah, I was expecting more “next gen” animation and while they did greatly improve it is on the level of Saints Row…so no real barriers broken there specifically.
As far as game animation…I still have to give more credit to Assassin’s Creed.
I want to see the clothes move in the wind…and react during movement and fighting.
Ac got that down. I was hoping the ps3 would have allowed more of that here but maybe that is too much for the engine.
Mmmm, the facial recognition of the characters looks far better to me than GTAIV, but had they been able to take advantage of the next-gen and have some experience with it’s capabilities, I would expect even significantly greater things from development.
I enjoy the driving a lot, and the car modifications. Nothing beats getting a decked out Mustang with carbon fiber panels and a turbocharger riding next to the upgraded engine, and then throwing a clown horn on it. I can’t wait to buy the more expensive properties and see the higher-end cars. I’ve heard there’s a kind of Rolls Royce Phantom type one in there somewhere.

I was just expecting more of it here. ACIII may be the best I have seen in a game when it comes to how clothes move and react when fighting. They spent time on that alone. This game lost a few points for me in the initial scene because the backpack being carried looked like the same motionless block or drawing I have seen in games for 10 years now.
I think they put a shit load of work into the dialogue. This is real and it flows like it would in real life to some degree. You can’t knock the acting.
But come on, guys…some of us use these games as benchmark of video game progress…and I wanted to see hair move.
So yea, the cars are a win.
The acting is a win.
The huge fucking game arena is a win.
The driving is a win
the shooting is a win.
But don’t expect a stylish Assassin’s Creed take down where you slash a knife by someone’s throat and feel like batman as your coat flies.

I really want to mod out a really fast bike fully and try to swerve through traffic on the highway. Saw a video just now of somebody doing it and it seems pretty fun. I’ve already wasted most of my heist money, I didn’t think it would run down quite so quickly.
