It amazing how the whole event went down…it’s what I imagined a real life heist would be, all the way up to the planning, casing the place, doing the robbery, and certain idiots fucking it up and losing some of the take.

Also, contrary to reports, I don’t believe the game world is as big as San Andreas, GTA IV, and RDR combined, although I’d have to go play those games again to be sure. But it is FUCKING HUGE.

I had to drive from up north to somewhere down in Los Santos and it probably took me around 10 minutes, driving full speed. And it wasn’t even from the very edges of the map.

Suffice to say this game is awesome and I can’t wait for GTA Online this October.
The first heist was great, I can’t wait for the other ones. You know if the gunman biffs it going into the tunnel, if you use the special, slow down enough and drive over his bag, Franklin will collect it and you don’t lose all the money, I think I finished up the mission with Mike getting nearly 800 thousand out of it, would imagine it to be far less without the third bike bag.
Dude…I tried doing that shit in the mission and it automatically failed my mission!

I walked out of the jewelry store on the high end of $4 million and after he dropped that bag, it dropped down to around $2 million.

Son of a bitch…if I knew I was going to lose half the damn take, I would’ve went ahead and paid the extra 10% for the better gunman.

Not to mention the guy from LifeInvader fucked up the damn hack.

That’s what I get for giving noobs a chance.
Yeah, I think it’s worth it to go for the higher end people most of the time, the chick hacker gets you like ninety seconds, I cleared the store out with at least 30 seconds to spare.

I guess you just have to hit the bag right, I’m not sure if he’ll pick it up at speed. I can’t wait for the second heist, it’s going to be so fun.

I think I’ll always go for at least 2/3 of the crew being the top people on heists now, never less.
I’ll give them one more go 'round, especially considering they’re supposed to get better with each heist and their cut still stays the same.

But it’s still cool that even though we did the same heist, how it played out for each of us was VASTLY different. I’m very interested to see now what would’ve happened had I taken the “loud” approach.

The budget for this game was definitely $265 million VERY well spent.

And to Derek542, don’t feel bad dude. To be honest I should be out there making movies like youinstead of playing this video game.

Yeah, I wonder if the payoff is bigger going with worse people but working hard to clean up their mistakes, or staying with the higher ones and just gliding through them. I really enjoy that there was a stealth-ish option and it wasn’t just generic guns blazing bank robbery.

The next one is going to be even more different, because I think the heist can be in two different places for two different things. I’m going to do the Offshore one, if someone goes for freighter then it’d be cool to find out how that plays out.

Ya that is pretty funny.

What about the stock market? I’m reading people are seeing big returns if done right.
After I found out about the stock thing, I did one of Lester’s assassination missions and tracked the share prices before and after the hit, I think you could really play that to a huge advantage if you know how it’s going to go down. Same with the Jay Norris mission with the phone “device”.

I read on some GTA forum that the lifeinvader stock never recovers after “The Phone Call” DunDuhnDunnn

I imagine that the driver is 100% worth taking the better guy, you can clear the store with the shitty hacker but it’s real hard, but sooo easy with the better hacker. And the gunman is more or less useless provided you go with a stealthy approach and can make sure you grab the dropped bag.

I was pretty happy with the good driver, good hacker, bad gunman combo. I think it’s probably the most efficient for making it out with the most cash.

I’m kind of pissed off that I haven’t met a significant villain yet. Like there’s a few people that are pissed off, but only one or two are particularly powerful, and negotiation has left them with no reason to hate our three amigos. Usually there’s one real bad arsehole that shows up at the beginning of a GTA game and is an obvious long-term threat, but it seems like there’s a bit of a lull in this one.

I’ve just finished perhaps both the most deranged, depressing and oddly therapeutic mission in GTA history. NEVER, take Jimmy to Burger Shot…

Also features this song, which is fun to listen to.

From what I see so far they did this right. My guess is best selling game til Christmas.

It’s not too late, kids to drop out of school and live in virtual reality for a week or two.

Who needs the real world?

How far in have you gotten? Man, everybody is going to get this thing. The last mission I did was back on Grove Street, it even looks really similar to how it used to in San Andreas, a lot of nostalgia on that mission.

Bleurgh, even I am starting to buy into the hype and may purchase it at the end of the month.

It’s just I have 12 weeks until Christmas Break so I’m trying not to do any video games and do study work only until then, so I wouldn’t play it until then but at that point I will have the chance to get the PS4 as well as Arkham Origins…fuuuuuck.

The biggest piss-off for me is that nobody’s gone official on a next-gen version and I’m starting to lose hope for it happening, I don’t even have a PS3 of my own now so I have to keep going over the road to my buddy’s house just to beat this thing. I can’t wait for the PS4, I already nearly have the money set out to buy it, then I just have to worry about online and a game to play. By this rate I should have a good 3-4 I can dig into on release, I expect to be on Watch Dogs for a rrreeeeeeeealll long time. Hopefully I can steal myself away for long enough until a GTAV hardcopy or digital drop makes it’s way out of the blue.

Yeah man I don’t want to pay 40 quid for the game and 6 months down the line they release the PS4 version.

It’s also weird being so excited for Dark Souls 2 considering it comes out in March and will have a PS4 by then.

Kind of strange that From Software isn’t immediately about to milk the next-gen market while it’s young. I would imagine the improves to next-gen over current gen would be beyond worth it.

Oh…and buy GTAV.

So I used the good driver and crap hacker/gunman and it was fine. Missed 2 of the cases, but that was user error not the time limit. Ended up doing it this way because the crappy character’s get better on each heist, but their % of the take doesn’t change. I feel that’s the best way to maximize F/M/T’s take. Managed to get a little more than $3.8MM from the bank before the house of course. I don’t know how, but I picked up the gunman’s bag.

They’re not going to release GTAV next gen or PC for awhile. And it makes perfect sense: there’s a bigger install base on the PS3 and 360 versus other platforms. The time invested versus the return on their investment just isn’t there yet.

Although, will both the PS3 and the 360 being closer to PC architecture, I wonder how long it will take them to port it.

Fuck me…I’m going to go back and play that mission again just to see what the hell I did wrong.
