Anyone getting Diablo 3 on console?

Was close to getting it myself yesterday, decided to just wait for it on PS4 though.
Gamefly should be delivering it today for PS3. It looks pretty good.
Let me know how it plays on PS3, if its amazing I might dingy GTA V for it.
What would possess you to say such a stupid thing?

For serious, GTAV is going to be the best game of this year, if not this generation. Everything ive seen/read on it so far suggests it will not only live up to the hype, but exceed any expectations you can possible set upon it.

Diablo III im sure is much improved since its release when i used to play, and the fact that the console version is minus the auction house is a massive improvement in itself, but it just cant be as good as GTAV is going to be.

That said, when the PS4 version of Diablo III is released, i will buy.
GTA V will bore me before I reach 50 hours of gameplay whilst Diablo 3 will not.

I’m not greatly interested in open world games where I can do lame shit like join a golf club. However, I’m not denying that it is a technical powerhouse and indeed “better” than Diablo 3, I’m jut saying it aint my type of game.
Have you played Diablo III? If not i would hold off on saying that itll last you 50 hours before it starts to feel dull.

And GTAV will be the biggest game with the most “stuff” to do of any game previous.

The world is bigger than that of San Andreas, GTAIV and Red Dead Redemption combined, and appears to be incredibly dense and rich…hard to believe thats even possible.

I suppose we wont know for sure until both games are released, i have my suspicions though.
I’m just someone who likes narrower focused games, I’ve probably played upwards of 120+ hours of Dark Souls and all there is to do is kill monsters.

I know GTA V will be the biggest game ever with the most stuff to do, but I’m just not interested in doing any of the stuff lol.
Dark Souls is definitely better than Diablo III, so i wont argue with you there.

You should probably see a Dr about your lack of interest in GTAV, its probably indicative of a very serious problem lol
It is honestly weird lol.

I remember getting San Andreas on launch day and playing it for a whole year, maybe that game just scratched my open world/killing spree itch and now i’m forever satisfied.

I am still considering though just because of how much of an impact it will have and I would rather experience it first hand at the time than play it 5 years later when it is not as impressive.

Honest question, did you like GTA IV?

I want to jump on the bandwagon, but after IV I am having a once bitten, twice shy thing going on.

Not as bad as with Bioware. DAII and the last 20min of ME3 have pretty much crippled my enthusiasm for new Bioware games.

I thought GTA IV was amazing, quite possibly the best game of this generation, but I can understand why other people didn’t like it.

If you feel that way about it, I’d say get it, and if you don’t like it, trade it in at Gamestop or Best Buy.

I feel you on Mass Effect 3 too.

For a series that has always been about choice and how they affect the world around you, I didn’t have too much of a choice in those final moments.

No…

So, Orion, that third person XCOM game…

…Everybody’s allowed one fumble right?

Do you mean the shooter?

This will probably suck.

However, I shall lead Rome to victory.

It does suck, sucks fairly badly, I urge you not to watch gameplay.

TW:R II looks real, real good. That Hannibal Barca teaser gives me the jeebies.

ME3 had its own hate thread about the ending here. It was so good, until they screwed it up.

Are you both talking about The Bureau or whatever the hell it’s called?

I really enjoyed XCOM: Enemy Unknown and had high hopes for that.

Ooh err, I hope that’s not a common thing. My weakness for strategy in an effort to counter my innate retardedness means I will likely get this anyway. Plus if I can pull that off and demolish a full foreign force due to a fence glitch then I can trick myself into thinking of it as a flawless victory.

But first I need my new computer :frowning:

Yeah, the kind of 50’s throwback palette with shoddy third person squad mechanics Bureau one. I loved Enemy Unknown, kind of looking forward to Enemy Within to get myself interested in it again, but The Bureau is a great idea gone terribly by the sound of it.

Especially considering it was basically a warmup for Red Dead Redemption and GTAV in my opinion. Sort of like a practice run by Rockstar (albeit a good one)

Eh…maybe…but again, that’s just my opinion. I’m sure my opinion will change once GTAV comes out though.

GTA 4 probably wasn’t even the best game that came out that month. Episodes from liberty city was a improvement though and GTA5 looks great. Hopefully it awesome because I caved and preordered it the other night.

The average critic score of 98 on metacritic (making it the highest reviewed game of this console generation) would disagree.

Maybe but me buying the game and not enjoying it much would disagree with them.

You can only trust critics so far though.

What I remember from GTA IV is a move too far in the direction of realism to the point where I felt like I was going to have to sit down and do Niko’s taxes every so often. It was a bunch of checking emails and taking your brother to the fucking bowling alley and taking some bitch out and whatever. That’s what drove me to Saint’s Row III.
