Never played the first one but heard it was good except for having to backtrack at the end, this looks pretty cool though.

I played it through on every skill level just to collect the extra items.

I’ve never played a game so hard as that.

Killer.

And it’s good to see Joe M. putting out video games more often than he put out comics.

I played the demo on PS3 last night and the controls and gameplay are not real smooth. Hopefully this is fixed in the real version (I had read rumors that the demo is from a few months ago). If the game plays the way the demo does then it’s a wait until $20 price game for mej.

Really?

For whatever reason, I really thought that game fell flat. I stopped playing less than an hour into it.

Too bad the only member of the first class in this film is Beast and they even managed to make him blue an dfurry too soon, I think this movie will have a baraka deadpool in it. I really wish Sony would give the rights back to Marvel so they can incorporate them into the Marvel film universe
Why does Fox need to retread the comic books? I’ve already read those books. I know how the story ends. I hated the first 4 wolverine films, but I am very excited to see First Class. I have yet to see anything to suggests Deadpool’s involvement. Marvel has enough on their plates already, and Fox looks like they are taking the X-men in a new and far more promising direction. I can’t wait to see this film.

Did you play Bayonetta, or Devil May Cry, or Ninja Gaiden? Just trying to gauge the difficulty. I might pick up the first one, just debating it for now.

I honestly believe that Fox have will have well and truly boxed themselves up story-wise if this tanks. There will be nowhere else to go. Officially they say it’s a reboot, but it has direct and indirect links back to the other X-movies? A full-on reboot would have been less confusing, but they keep trying to present an ensemble superhero movie which - for the wrong reasons - puts a handful of characters in the spotlight and sidelines the rest .

The execs at Fox treat audiences like idiots, even going as far as to lie when the unfinished cut of Wolverine was leaked (granted, some are, but even if they don’t get the concept of a fresh start they’ll still watch it… that’s why they’re idiots) know nothing about comics, and just have zero trust in the material (that’s why they screwed up Wolverine, and Deadpool by association).

I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve seen it: I like Matthew Vaughan, even though he was responsible for casting Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut (that was him, not Brett Ratner); Bryan Singer is a good director on the whole, but his reliance on love triangles to bring emotional depth and conflict in in X-Men and Superman Returns were unnecessary and transparent. If First Class gets an ‘f’, don’t expect a sequel to it or to Wolverine.

Hopefully the rights will revert back to Marvel then.
What makes you think this movie will tank? It seems to have a lot of fan excitement surrounding it. The early preview and reviews have been very positive. The cast and crew selection is very strong. I think we have a winner on our hands here. I can’t wait to go see it when I get home.

I thought you were a comic book fan? You’re not seriously finding this movie plot confusing, are you? There were a lot of good ideas in the first films coupled with a lot of shitty ones and terrible execution. First Class looks like it’s taking the gems and tossing the shit. I’m hoping for a hit. 5th time’s a charm right?

Regardless of how First Class performs, does anyone really want another Wolverine movie?

Batman’s got you covered. Catwoman will be a playable character.

I saw the preview when I went to see Thor. Another movie I can’t wait to see. Plus “The Losers” has been playing every other night, and Captain America is awesome filling in for Jensen.

Gameplay of upcoming id Software title RAGE.

2011 really is an awesome year for gaming…RAGE, Skyrim, BF3, Diablo III…

They don’t necessarily have to but why fix what isn’t broke? Also this movie frigs up their own movie universe worse than Wolverine and the magic adamantium bullet did. In the first movie Professor X tells Wolverine that Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm where his first students, not the wannabes they have in the film(I mean really they pulled from the shallow end of the mutant pool for these winners). Also we see Wolverine makes an appearence, why wasn’t that mentioned in the first film? Fox is just doing real damage to these characters and it would be better for all if Marvel got the rights back, look what they’ve done with the Hulk. The first film is nearly unwatchable dark, moody, real bad story, and with shoddy camera angles Marvel get’s the rights back and look how bad ass they made that film? I’m sure Marvel and Disney can do a much better job with the characters they created than Fox at this time.

Yeah he looked pretty decent in that and in Scott Pilgrim. I’m of the mindset that superheros need to be built but not too the point of losing mobility, Hensworth looked the part of the Thundergod, and Tobey looked the part of Spiderman

I’ve hated all the previous X-Crement films. I’m glad Fox is ditching that movie verse in favor of a new direction. As far as I’m concerned those films are better off forgotten. I’ll know this coming Friday if First Class is any good or not.

I’m fine with the character selection. With the exception of “Sucker Punch” I’ve been routinely let down by the live-action versions of comic or animated characters. I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do with this team of X-men.

I liked both Hulk films. The first film had some fun “Hulk vs” scenes like “Hulk vs the Giant Doggies”, “Hulk vs the Army”, “Hulk vs San Francisco”, and best of all “Hulk vs Banner”. “Hulk vs the Cloud” was a little lame. Eric Bana put in another great performance. The latest hulk was great too. My only complaint is no nipples in he rain. What a rip off.

I agree. If he did most of his stunts in “The Losers”, then I’m doubly impressed. He was pretty smooth in the Parkour scenes, and I think it a bonus when an actor has the physical skills beyond just looking the part.
