The new medal of honor is unfortunately not going to be anything new or anything we haven’t seen before. It’s just like a modern warfare/battlefield hybrid and was built off of the same engine that BF2 was created with. Have you guys played the beta?
Everyone I know that has played the beta says it’s pretty bad. In full disclosure my ‘gaming’ friends are more on the competitive side(although much less so than when we were younger) so that skews their perspective on what games are good/bad, but that’s the opinions I got to pass on.

I thought you guys said Clash of the Titans sucked?

This movie did not suck. They basically took all of the boring shit from the original and turned it into a straight action movie.

It may have had its flaws, but if these special effects don’t stand out at all, you must be really jaded.

But then, I did NOT see the 3d version.

I thought the ‘new’ take on the Kraken was really good actually. Something that struck fear into the titans needed to be beyond epic, not a giant squid/octopus thing like it is in every other movie.

…with shitty action.

If a movie is going to focus on delivering only action, then it better deliver some great goddamn action.

The kraken did look awesome though.

I guess I’m jaded then…although I’ve always been very critical of movies. Maybe my expectation for the movie were just too high to begin with, but I was disappointed.

It didn’t have the sense of adventure of the first one.
The pacing was ridiculous.
It took out the politics\pettiness of the Gods
Hades talked like he was having a asthma attack.
Liam Neison looked like a gay disco ball.
The Krakken was the best part of the flick.

If I would have watched it on a Sunday Afternoon on cable then I might have enjoyed it, but I payed good money to watch it in “3D” at the theaters and was very disappointed and pissed.

Do yourselves a favor and rent Kick Ass.

Like I said, I didn’t watch in 3d…and I can see very well how being in 3d alone could make it worse by taking your attention away from anything else but the visuals.

We were KIDS when the first one came out. hell, all I really remembered from the first one was that gay owl, Medusa, Pegasus, and the Kraken. I couldn’t tell you one thing in between all of that.

I think some of you remember some of those old shows and movies outside of their true context.

For instance, I recommended one of the posters here watch Goonies…because I had nothing but fond memories of that movie…but then I watched it again and realized that anyone not close to my age when it came out the first time would probably not find it even very interesting today.

The first Clash movie wasn’t that damned good. We were all just new to everything and way less jaded.

I enjoyed it too, wasn’t a great movie but hardly anything to be disappointed over. I saw the 2d version too and from what I understand thats the better version the 3d was just tacted on. I saw some clips of the original before it came out and was alittle surprised at how shitty I thought it looked. When I was a kid that movie was fucking epic.

Dont know if this has been done on here, but the wife bought me a nook. She wants to clear out the volumes of books I have. Normal memory on this thing holds 15,0000 books. It also has memory chip to make it 50,000 total. Fucking unreal. Started reading a book last night and I must say I am impressed. Anybody else have one?
I have a kindle, so basically the same thing. It’s great, definitely worth the money.

Kane & Lynch 2 preview

I really can’t wait to unleash my inner sociopath.

30 Days of Night pt 2 straight to DVD (it does not look to bad I might give it a go)

It looks like it might be better than the first but thats not really saying much.

OK I’m the Movie Geek in the crowd. I’m hearing NOTHING but good things about CENTURION but it would be cool to hear from anyone that has seen it already. I will not find out till the 27th. But from the trailer trust me I’ll be dead center seat watching:

Apparently the Maelstrom in the middle of the ocean in Azeroth is going to be featured in the next WoW expansion. Ordinarily I wouldn’t really care, owing to the fact that WoW is the devil and the guys at Blizzard are a bunch of soulless bastards for making you have to play an MMO to continue the story (not unlike Bioware continuing the Knights of the Old Republic games with an MMO), but this clip is just too epic to not post here.

Without any further ado…

Has anyone else seen Batman vs Dracula? It was on this morning and was surprisingly entertaining.

I saw that last year on cartoon network, it was much better than I was expecting.

This seemed like the best place to my post my question. I am looking for a new lap top, no rush or anything. I currently have an older macbook that is cruising towards death at a fast pace. I’m mainly interested in one for school, I dont really care about the whole mac/pc debate, I would just like a few suggestions for solid college computers. By that I mean something with all the programs and what not to do projects etc. I really want a macbook pro, but I’m not sure I will be able to afford one. Thanks in advance! Also, I dont know jack shit about computers so please speak in layman’s terms!

If you have a MacBook and are happy with it, then stick with it if you can - the Pro’s are pricey though.

I would suggest a Toshiba or Asus notebook personally, I can suggest some specific models but they would depend on what your budget will be. Most mid-range laptops will be more than capable of handling all your needs.

Office for students is pretty damn cheap too, and is available on both platforms.

Concept bike - sexy as hell IMO!
