Geek S**T Generation 2.0

The guy looks like he could be alright as Thor. I haven’t seen him act, so I’m not sure about him in that respect. I still think Kevin McKidd would make a pretty fantastic Thor. He was awesome in Rome.

Here I am just drooling at the day I can upgrade my still damn nice laptop to one with USB 3.0 and an IPS panel. Make it quad core and 8 GB RAM so I can VMWare multiple OSes.

Better yet, I want a wired network connection that supports over 10 Gbps so I can stream 1080P video with 7.1 audio AND backup shit to a NAS. I found an article on converting a Mac Mini to a DVR with a MythTV back end, an Apple Front Row front end…tossing out the internal optical drive in favor of a second 500 GB drive. RAID 0 that shit and have a 2 TB attached storage for encoded h.264 streams…with an iPod touch to control it all, wirelessly.

Fuck propriety!
You would never leave the house. Someone would find you overdosed on pepperoni pizza watching pirated BBC documentaries.

I was thinking the same thing. He seems to have the right ‘look’, but just needs the muscle to pull it off. I haven’t watched True Blood, so I really don’t know anything else about the guy.
Anna Paquin is at her hottest and doesn’t mind taking her top off. Plus it’s about vampires, has at least one changeling, maybe a witch, and next season may see werewolves.

I liked the Pirates movies.

And if you “darken” the Fantastic Four, you get one of two things: The Four from Planetary, or Marvel Zombies.

Fantastic Four blows. Just a personal opinion.
Fantastic Four could be great they just need to make a few tweeks. Like:
A new cast
A script from someone who actually read the comics
A cgi Thing (like the Hulk)
Dr. Doom (not some retarded guy in a mask)
Latveria
Latverian peasants who adore their leader Dr Doom
Less talky-talky more Clobberin’ time.

I dont think it should be too hard for him, he defiantly has the frame for another 20 or 30 pounds easy. But if they want this out by next year they better get rolling. Supper Hero movies are for the Summer season, not Christmas.

I thought last year was a big year for us geeks but this year might be even bigger. However, I think its safe to say that with out us Geeks Hollywood would have zip.

Agreed. However, this also gives them more chances to screw up.

I like the Avatar series. I seriously doubt they will be able to capture that in a movie…especially one directed by Shamalama.

I will be one of the first to see GI Joe, but if they fuck up, I may just wait for any after that to come out on dvd/blu ray.

Avatar is a CGI movie, and should be directed by James Cameron. It has nothing to do The Last Airbender series. Completely different concepts that happen to have the same name.

stupid slow ass internet connection, never does anything right ^&$#@%!#@%^^%&^(%#@$$#!%&*!!!

So I have had a coupple of thoughts run through my head, the first is I can’t I can’t believe that they haven’t done a new Top Gun movie. Either a whole new one are a 2nd one.

My other thought came about the other day when I wash talking to ppl about The Force Unleashed and wondering what was going to come of the 3 engines that game was running. DMM(Digital Molecular Matter), Havok (lets the Devs move a lot of ppl, debris and what not on the screen at any given time) and Euphoria (the behavioral AI engine that lets the Stormtroopers react to whats happening to them in different ways)

Well ask and you shall receive. I had one of those questions answered in regards to DMM. I cant wait to see more things like this in video games

Also word on the street is that Lucas has stared casting the Star Wars live action show.

I’ll likely see it opening weekend as well, but it’s not a good sign that it’s coming out in August. August is usually the dumping ground for all the crap that isn’t good enough to come out in May-July and compete with the big boys.

There are exceptions to this almost every year (for example, The Sixth Sense and The 40-Year-Old Virgin were August releases), but for the most part August is the ‘shit movie’ month of the summer.

Just wondering if this has been posted before

It’s a fake trailer spliced together with some footage from the Halo shorts that came out before Halo 3.

There’s no Halo movie currently being shot.

Get your wallets out, boys and girls.

Fuckin’ eh!

Sadly I may have to wait a week due to money shortage.

Definitely buying it though.

Ooh boy… I wasn’t planning on getting this, but I saw an extended trailer last night before the new South Park. Looks nuckin futz.
