What?

I finished Watchmen last night. I don’t have anyone out here who would deign to go see it with me. :frowning:

I think I might read it again right now.
Can you fly out to CA? I’ll watch it with you.

Watched the Wonder Woman animated film last Wednesday, and it was great. If you liked the Superman vs Doomsday fight from DC’s previous animated movie then you will love the battles in this film. They go all out to show how tough the beautiful Amazon really is. And the gal can really dole out the pain. The animators toned down the blood a bit to avoid an R rating, but it is still plenty brutal. Voice acting is superb.

Keri Russell as Diana, Rosario Dawson as the strong willed Artemis, and Virginia Madsen as Queen Hippolyta truly bring their characters to life. Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Serenity) is in top form in this film as pilot Steve Trevor. Fillion’s comedic timing is perfect throughout the movie. Alfred Molina voices the evil, maniacal Ares and his quest to bring about the destruction of man thru war. Big Fights for Big Stakes just what an action movie needs. If you’re a comic book or animation fan definitely check out this movie.

The most notable bonus feature is a behind the scenes look at the upcoming Green Lantern animated film. Which is shaping up to be a space cop story with Sinestro as the experienced veteran and Hal Jordan as the rookie. Most of movie looks to take place in space, which is where the Green Lantern belongs, and may conclude with Sinestro’s fall from the GL Corp.

If DC and the WB Studios could pull this kind of talent for their live action films then they would absolutely dominate Hollywood.

Great review.

Speaking of this has anyone seen the Wolverine vs Hulk or Wolverine vs Thor animated movies?

Great review.

Speaking of this has anyone seen the Wolverine vs Hulk or Wolverine vs Thor animated movies?
Wolverine vs Hulk = Great animated movie

Thor vs Hulk = Boring long drawn out story about someone who is apparently pretty damn uninteresting.

My thoughts exactly. Thor vs Hulk practically put me to sleep, but Hulk vs Wolverine had a more interesting story, action, characters and dialog.

Love to, but my weekend jaunts are generally to exciting places like Poteau, Oklahoma.

Who is your new baby?

Interesting. I almost found Hulk vs. Thor to be better, especially the overall story. I just found Hulk vs Wolverine to be suckling heavily off the Wolverine teet. One of the most overrated comic characters anyway, IMO.

Who the fuck insulted Thor?

I think it was Professor X. We’re cool, but I’m sorry, X.

First, Wolverine is an overrated piece of dog shit. If not for is popularity, he’d get his ass handed to him by crap villains like Stilt-Man.

Second, Thor has done more than Wolverine could ever hope to do. When Wolverine shows up, this is what super heroes think:

“Great, Wolverine’s come to make jokes, look mean, and cut random ninjas with his butter knives. Too bad he’s useless against Ultron, Dr.Doom, and Hulk.”

When Thor shows up, this is what happens:

“Thank God, we can win now. While he takes on the heavy hitters, we’ll rest up and attack from the side”

The only reason the Hulk vs Wolverine was better than Hulk vs Thor is cause the movie was a Wolverine Blowjob put on Dvd. They stroke him like a high priced hooker.

Fuck Wolverine, he can rot and die with his butter knife weapons.

Wolverine doesn’t fight Hulk on the regular and if he does, he never beats him. He either gets his ass whipped or survives.

Thor throws hands with Hulk on the regular. No other super hero has as many single matches against the Hulk like Thor. And Thor isn’t fighting watered down Gray Hulk or Hulk with Banner’s mind or Hulk who doesn’t feel like fighting.

Thor fights the Hulk who’s trying to smash everything up.

Secret Wars issue # 4. Read it and it will show you why Wolverine could never be as great as Thor or Hulk.

Personally, I love Wolverine and i’m not that much of a fan of the Hulk, but I agree with you Wol.

It’s like a flea fighting a dog.

Dude… fuck yes. This post was awesome in almost too many ways.

Wolverine is a hyper-evolved wolverine. As in, the fucking animal. Well, not according to canon, but it was the intent of one of his writers.

Thor is actually the guy from Norse mythology who created shit-ruining after his dad invented violence.

Wolverine has to fight an archangel to get back to earth after getting a self-repairing, nigh-invulnerable body completely deaded.

Thor ruined, destroyed, and put into mild disarray the shits of the deities a level above the human’s pantheon who started the Ragnarok cycle for shits and giggles. Then he died, got over it, and took over Odin’s position and upgraded the Odinforce to the Thorforce.

Also, as bonus cool points, Thor made Iron Man his chrome bitch.

God i’m depressed deadpool looks like baraka

I don’t know, he looks pretty dead on to me.

No particular reason for posting this.

A little more info on Green Lantern: First Flight animated movie due out in the summer I think.
The trick for me is that I like super powers that are sort of impactful. I like punches and fights and stuff like that. Giving the Green Lantern ring that sort of impactful feeling as it’s being used, is a bit of a trick, but it can be done and I hope that I’ve done it in this. I didn’t want green beams fighting green beams. I wanted as many objects formed in those beams as I could. And the idea behind the screenplay, the subtext going on in the screenplay, is that Hal Jordan is sort of a natural, with his imagination creating things that go beyond beams. Hal is focused, but he’s very imaginative. At least in the script there’s a scene where, when he’s not doing anything, he’s making little objects with his ring like someone doing doodles. We’ll see if that remains. The script was a little long, so they had to do some judicious editing.

Here is a first look at the upcoming “Princess of Persia” movie starring Maggie Gyllenhaal’s less masculine brother. The current standard for the term “buff” has been brought to a new low.
