When you have ample star power built up, the fills generally come by fairly quickly I find. They also seem to fit better within the songs than the fill secions in GH.
Being able to save yourself is alright I guess. I’m really not a fan of where the star power meter is located in GH either. I find I have to look away from the highway to actually see it when playing with other people.
I’ve definitely been enjoying the track list in GH though, I just wish it looked and felt more like RB.
I found GH & RB to both be of the ghey, but that’s just me I suppose. I get almost no entertainment value from them, plus I could get a PS3 to go alongside my 360 for the price of them.
Just an announcement for UK members reading this thread - 360 Elites are dirt cheap now (~£150 or so) because retailers are clearing stock for the new Jaspers which are finally coming in. If you haven’t got one yet, now would probably be a good time.
And on a similar note, only 8 more days till Resident Evil 5! Can’t wait, it’s been too long.

Jasper is where it’s at. That’s what I’ve been waiting for.

you guys are lucky an elite 360 costs around 2000 reais at brazil which would be more or less 1000 dollars, it’s so expensive to buy electronic stuff here. =(
I got some reading to do. Since Micheal Turner’s death quite a few tribute books have been published most recently was the Fathom: The Definitive Edition. This the entire Fathom story in one collection, including several issues that were not previously collected.

I just bought Watchmen and Iron Man Extremis.
They’re arriving tomorrow [thank you amazon prime], can’t wait to read them!
Those who have seen the movie, would you recommend reading the book first, or vice-versa?[/quote]
I haven’t seen the movie, but read the book first is pretty much what I always suggest. But, I’m a book geek.
From the review I heard on NPR this morning, Watchmen is “pedestrian” and should’ve been left as a graphic novel. It is impossible to translate the density of the story (think of how they jump from unrelated scene to unrelated scene until they are all related) to film. The reviewer (who had read the book) basically said that whenever a studio thinks it can make millions off fanboys, no comic is safe.
I’m still willing to bet it’ll be a good movie…or at least entertaining and fun to look at. If that’s the case, then I’ll be happy. Since Snyder’s got a good visual style, I don’t think I’ll have too much to worry about.
I’ve read a few reviews for it, and a lot of the negative ones really reeked of ignorance. One reviewer said something like “for a movie based on a comic strip, where was the comedy?”
I’ve heard that the Wolverine movie is supposed to be 97 minutes long…which seems entirely too short considering all of the characters they’re trying to jam in there. I really hope it’s quite a bit longer to accommodate them all.

I really hope that’s not true. If it is, then there better be an extended version once it hits DVD.
