Well, here’s a huge geek move. I just found some Nickelodeon DVD’s on Amazon.com (exclusive,) and ordered the first two seasons of Doug. I plan on ordering Rocko’s Modern Life and Hey Arnold within the month.

Then I take it you have never seen what happens when some is shot with a .50 cal? B/c that is almost exactly what happens. You have to think, that they were being shot with anti-armor rounds as big as a finger. Say you get shoot in the belly, they would be picking you up in two peaces.
With a .50 cal, sure; but unless I’m mistaken, body parts were flying around pretty much everytime anyone was shot regardless of the caliber of the weapon. It’s been a while since I saw that movie, so maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

you could be right, I haven seen it in a while either. But when ever someone says how over the top the movie was thats the part they bring up.

Anyone else catch any episodes of this show?
After the many failures lately to reboot the X-men in animated form I really liked the 2 episodes I saw on Monday. It takes place after some events have already happened, Professor X is in a coma, Jean is missing/dead, Magneto already is in charge of Genosha, the mutant registration act has only started it’s push to legislation.
Wolverine is a pretty cool character, but seriously Marvel needs to tone down all the nut-riding.
I’m still waiting on a DVD release of the 90’ X-men cartoon.
Aside from a couple of Zelda games, I’ve never really been into RPGs, but, a lot of my friends kept harping on me to try Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Well, I finally picked up. Any tips/pointers before I get started?

That game looks like it’s going to be great, love the voice acting.
Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker! Awesome.
My thoughts exactly. As great as Bale has been and as great as Ledger was, its really those two that have defined these characters for what? 15 years?
So True. Plus the Joker’s villainy paces itself with the crazy shit comic books can get away with. The poison lapel flower, giant props lying all over the city, deadly joy buzzers, etc…

Edit: this is just something I was thinking about last night. Why is it we want to see them remake or reboot Conan but dont want them to tuch The Predator? Just a thought.
It wouldn’t really be a reboot. Arnold’s movies were great but had little to do with the Howard’s original stories. The real Conan should be just as big as Arnold but far more vocal and snarky while gleefully beheading all who challenge him.
So I really hope that the Killzone 2 demo goes live at midnight tonight

Any one remember Red Dead Revolver? No? Well damn it I do, and I really liked that game. Well its getting a sequel in the form of Red Dead Redemption. Looks like it will be using the same engine from GTA IV. There aren?t enough western video games, looking forward to this one

That game sucked IMO. Just wasn’t for me I guess. There was go real sense of becoming more powerful as everythng in the world levels with you. The same boring wolves keep attacking you forever, and actually are able to hurt u still.
I also rarely get to sit down to play anything for more than 1-2 hours now so that could have been another reason I couldn’t get to into it. FPS games are ideal for me now.

I feel you man. I wanted to set it up for download before work. So much for that idea. Kept looking at the code to see if I entered it wrong but I didn’t. Checked onlne and found other people claiming theirs wasn’t working either. Now when I get home I have to waste time downloading before I can play. ![]()
Or y’all can start up a Euro account on your PS3, and download it right now from the Euro store. I set mine to download from my PSP at work - Remote play FTW!
assassins creed seemed so good, but it’s so repetitive!!
i’m eager to play fallout 3 and killzone 2 and i don’t know which one to choose first
ok guys, anybody here eager to play yakuza 3 for ps3???
everybody loves the yakuza!

So I got it early today and was really hoping that there was going to be some online component to it, but it was just the first 10 mins of the opening lvl. What was there was sweet but I had to adjust the controls. I didnt like hitting R3 to zoom in and moved it to L1. Once the game comes out Ill see if I cant use my mouse and keyboard.

I would say, if you have the funds, go out and get Fallout 3 and then by the time your done with that Killzone 2 should be close to launch. But if I have to pick I would go with Killzone 2.
Yakuza thought just isnt my bag. I dont like the GTA or Saints Row games and Yakuza seams to fall into that same genre
Also some good things coming out of Marvel and DC.
Looks like Golden-Eye and Casino Royale director is to film Green Lantern
Marvel seams to be very pleased with Kenneth Branagh, directing Thor.
Himora22 was it just me or did the controls on Killzone 2’s demo feel sluggish? I felt like there was a slight delay when trying to aim and it was really annoying. I jumped on COD 4 right after and noticed a huge difference in the reaction time to when moving aim/looking

I may be very close to realizing my dream of writing comedy.
I will be meeting with someone in half an hour who has been wanting to produce a show and liked some writing sample I gave her.
Also, a professor of mine knows some people who either have done or still do standup in SF, which has quite the standup pedigree, and who have written comedy. She will facilitate something for me very soon.
I told her I’d just about drop out of school if I landed a really good gig. We’ll see…
Stay tuned.
And…the winner is?

I met with a girl who wants to produce a show or some short. She liked a bunch of my ideas and is going to gather a few more writers in the coming weeks.
Still waiting on the professor to get back to me. I am more excited about the professor’s contacts as they have experience, but it’s nice to see some doors possibly opening up.

They did seam a little slow but I didnt notice any delay though. Im sure that could be adjusted, but it could also come from playing a faster paced game like COD4. I cant play Gears 2 or Halo b/c they are just so slow to me. Ill have to look at the options a little more closely when I get home, I didnt have a lot of time to really sit down and go through it.

It really seemed like a fraction of a second delay from the time I start moving the joystick to the time it responds. I felt there was a very short delay and then after I would stop moving it it would continue for that same faction of a second so I found myself constantly going past targets or not getting the shot off before they ducked behind something. When I got back on COD4 I noticed the response time felt immediate like it should be.
Oh well, I’m sure when I switch to playing Killzone 2 full-time that I eventually wont notice it anymore but it sure does feel like an aspect of the game that they overlooked. I tried turning the sensitivity up to max and it still didn’t fix the issue I was noticing. And I only play COD4 with the sensitivity on Normal
If it continues to annoy me perhaps I’ll just get one of the options out there that allows me to use mouse/keyboard with any PS3 game.

I just got home and played through it again with the sensitivity up and it was fine for. I only ever played COD4 with my mouse and keyboard so that might have something to do with it.
Mouse/Keyboard > Controller
I also thought that turning on the zoom “hold” works alot better for me as well.

I setup my controller to mimic the controls of COD4 almost entirely and turned the hold zoom on as well. i played it again this morning and its not too bad but the aiming is still not as precise as I would like.
What are you doing to be able to use mouse/keyboard with your PS3 in COD, etc? I’d like to get that setup going soon, I much prefer the accuracy of a mouse over the dual joysticks
Looks like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is going to have some elements from the Civil War story line in it.
