Online co-op is great IF you have people with mics and they speak English.

Aw sick new afro samurai, does it still have the abbot(rza) working on it?
Has anyone played red alert 3 on xbox? I’m going to grab a new game after gym today and have narrowed it down to left 4 dead, red alert 3 and end war. I was a massive fan of red alert 2 on computer however I hated command and conquer generals.
Left 4 Dead is awesome IF you love online Co-Op play. It’s like living the “Dawn of the Dead” remake. One of the most replayable games I own, and with each scenario lasting 1 hour +/- its a great transition game. Get a bit tired with the RPG scene in Fable or Fallout, then plug in L4D for some fast paced zombie slaughter.[/quote]
I got Left 4 Dead last week and its so good it makes me want to go back and play some other shooters I havent played in a while like COD4. Great, great game!

Please don’t.
I haven’t had time for the gaming lately, so I’ve barely got to playing all the games I stocked up on towards the end of last year. Last thing I need is spending money on games I don’t have time to play!
?
Dedication. You must have dedication.

Sweet! Looks like something I can download later on.
SO I guess there are going to be alternate costumes for all the char in SF4. Not sure yet if they will be DLC or unlockable but some of them look good.
The more I see of this game the more I want to play it. I CANT WAIT!!

I’m not usually a fan of FPSs, but this stood out to me. Maybe the slo-mo psychic power, since it makes me suck 20% less. The story was surprisingly good.

Anyone try the original F.E.A.R. on its hardest difficulty? The A.I. was hard enough on its own - but with those shadow demons, the shit got insane.
infriggindeed.
Too bad I played it on a profile without XBL, and ended up deleting all my achievements.

DAMN… That’s a bitch. I never actually ended up beating it. I could never get past that epic double-robot battle in the street after you [finally] got out of one of those damn offices.
And speaking of, as much as I liked the first one, I really hope this one doesn’t spam the same environment over and over. And over. And over again.

Bah. Starcraft is a poor man’s Warhammer 40k.
But the 40k games are kinda . . . weak. So, yeah.
I look forward to a Gears of War class.

? Those demon things were the easist part of the game compared to some of the robot-types which took like 9999 hits to down (or did I miss some secret weak-point? )…
Bullet time and I actually used the dual pistols on the demon things, worked much better than any of the other guns (plenty of ammo, you don’t fire useless bursts like you do with the autoguns etc…)
Honestly, the demon parts were more annoyance than danger as far as I remember…
And the little girl was lame. I must have missed like half of her appearances due to not looking in the right direction at the right time lol, you just notice the background sound etc…
The ending sequence was just plain cheap… I had hoped for more… That cheese-chip (whatever they’re called)-munching computer guy was funny though.
Which means that I was scared maybe once throughout the whole game, and that was because my dog opened the glass (not smooth) door to my computer room in his usual noisy way.
The stealth dudes were kinda cool… Though you always hear a certain when they are around… And they have no ranged weapons for some odd reason… They can take some damage, too, which is all the more annoying on the hardest difficulty.

Awesome. A class like that would have killed my GPA. I would pass it and fail all others. And Diff.E.Q. as a pre-req, that should guarantee only geek attendance.

Damn, now I feel like a noob. I know it’s been four-odd years since I’ve played it, and my gaming skills have definitely improved since then. Not to question you, but I was referencing the shadow guys on the hardest difficulty… I don’t know if it was because they scared the shit out of me and couldn’t track where the hell they were going, but I really hated the small part of the game they were involved in.
As far as Alma (the little girl) is concerned, it was a bit irksome to see some chick crawling on the scene towards the beginning of the game, but eventually it just kind of wore down. Also, as you said, you could totally miss all the action! That was the good thing about Dead Space - No matter where you are or which way you’re looking, you’re not going to miss a damn thing!
By the way, and I think I’ve mentioned this on here before, but I REALLY recommend FarCry 2 to anyone with a PS3/360 that enjoys FPSes. It’s as huge and free as Fallout, but it’s much quicker paced, has much better action gameplay, and a really cool environment. There’s nothing much more fun than mowing down a zebra that runs in your path as a African Nationalist Faction tries to cut you down with a Jeep-mounted machine gun.
Not only that, but you have malaria. FUCKING MALARIA! I’d like to see someone top that.

I was just thinking how sweet it would be if Fallout 3 was made as a pure FPS game.

Meh,We have and get enough FPS that making Fallout 3 into one would more than likely have taken it from a great game (maybe the best game of last year) to just another so so shooter, and we have more then enough of those.
