Has that Batman video game come out yet?

Not until at least April/May, as far as I’ve heard.

And damn, I didn’t even know you had to tune your cars to specific tracks in GT/Forza. That’s probably why I suck so much ass at sim racing - I’m definitely NOT a gearhead…

Yeah it’s getting pretty elaborate as each game comes out. I got Forza 2 free with my 360 last year, otherwise I would’ve never played it. I had more fun with it’s paint editor than anything else.

But, if you ever want to get humiliated, hop online with GT5 Prologue and race someone from Japan. Those guys are ridiculous.

I get what you are saying but the younger one has been hounding us for a Wii since almost last year. I just find it funny that htey barely even play the thing. I have almost no interest in the console at all as they didn’t get any games that appeal to me.[/quote]

We almost got one last year; but they were out everywhere we went.

Luckily, that same weekend we got to play it at my friend’s house. After maybe an hour, I ended up in the basement with my friend playing Tekken and F1 on his PS2.

The wife and kids liked it very much; but not enough to we wanted to buy one ourselves.

This Christmas, we got them a Nintendo DS each. I think they’re having much more fun with that than they would have had with a Wii. And we don’t worry they’ll smash the remote in the plasma.

I found The Orange Box for a song… I’m currently redoing Half-Life 2 (played it before, but had forgotten the story…) then it’s Episode 1 and 2, which I didn’t play on the PC. Portal (on the same disc; there’s five games in The Orange Box) is also great fun.

I alternate between that and Ninja Gaiden 2.

Yup; you’ll get creamed if you don’t.

That’s the one thing I liked about playing Forza on Xbox Live; they had a function were you could “copy” the parts (assuming you had already bought them) and the settings of the best players.

After copying those settings, some of my times fell by 4-5 seconds per lap on some tracks. That’s when I realized how much I sucked at that game and went back to PGR.

Some of the Forza guys could talk for hours explaining all the ins and outs of tuning a suspension, or setting you gear ratios. You can learn some interesting stuff if your eyes don’t glaze over first.

You know you play too much l4d when you see a fat person and want to melee them while yelling “BOOMER!”

Sounds like The Watchmen will be delayed b/c Fox has sued WB and a judge has sided with Fox in saying that they have the copyright. So unless there is some kind of HUGE!! settlement it more than likely get pushed back.

Lame. I didn’t like FOX before, but now I really don’t like them

I dont have a Wii but I sure will try to talk my friend into getting Tenchu: Shadow Assassins. I love, LOOOVE the Tenchu franchise and would really like to see a new one for PS3 and 360. Might be the best game on the Wii too date.

We’ll get our first look at Mass Effect 2 at GDC in March. I loved the first one and was playing it for like the 4th or 5th time when my power supply craped out on me.

Lastly Sony blast Xbox for price gouging and the Wii for a “lack of enhanced features comes at the expense of a comprehensive entertainment solution.” I agree and have been saying this for over a year now but I thought some of you might get a kick out of this.

I loved the first Tenchu on the PSX. The sequels never measured up, though. If anything, the AI got dumber.

Not that crap again. Why would someone who wanted all those accessories buy the Arcade model to start with? I bought a Pro, and got exactly one additional accessory: A second controller. That’s it. It came with 5 bundled games too.

Sony actually has games for the PS3 now, with a few good exclusives; it’s the best BluRay player on the market and the hardware quality is higher; why don’t they just go with that?

Accusing your competition of price gouging for selling their console half the price of yours is insulting the intelligence of your potential customers.

The only reason I can see for that, is that they’re unable to cut their price anytime soon and they’re trying to justify that by any means necessary.

Anyone heard of the game “Prototype”?

I wasn’t familiar with it, but found a preview today:

Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Kinda super-hero fights evil mutants Crackdown meets Wolverine (or Spawn) mash-up.

It’s cross-platform, by the way.

Anyone played the new Need for Speed undercover? I’m a fan of these games and I’m enjoying this one. Its similiar to Most Wanted which is probably the best one in the franchise, but with some extra stuff they learnt from previous games.

LoL, ya I was checking that out today and wanted to post it but didnt want to overload the Thread =). I thought it looked like Dead Rising meats GTA meats The Matrix with some Venom thrown in there for good measure.

Christ this just isnt fair!! We got Killzone 2 and Street Fighter 4 coming with in two weeks of one another. Then Prototype in March or April. I cant catch a break, I still haven’t caught up with every thing else that came out b4 Christmas

There are rumours that Fox’s claim on Watchmen only goes as far as the distribution rights (I think Warner Bros. was originally planning to distribute the movie through Paramount).

Still, I don’t think that going to stop Fox from looking for a bigger piece of the action…

You know, I am disappointed in the Need for Speed franchise. It has turned into some silly Fast and the Furious spinoff.

I remember playing the original NFS on the PC: a few exotics and a few regular sports cars. That’s what I like, none of this 5000 points if you can ride the current produced by your opponents BS.

I will have to pick up PGR4. I remember playing Ridge Racer and the like in the arcades. Those games were fun.

If anyone has a PSP, definitely check out some of the Sega and SNK collections. My brother has a few of them and the nostalgia those discs bring back is awesome.

I saw a preview video for that like a year ago and then forgot about it. It was a very early version and really only showed the guy jumping off a roof, blowing up some helicopters and smashing a tank or something like that; it looked really choppy at the time, but even then I wanted to play it.

Looks nuts. Reminded me of the Hulk more than anything, especially when he was smashing the tank.

Damn it…I hate it when something that cool is still in development. 3D gaming would change the face of video games forever. Hell, possibly all mass media.

A big screen tv, some sun glasses and complete immersion into whatever you are playing will have some people flunking out of school.

If you’re looking for a great game, give Dead Space a try. A little like Bioshock due to the way you upgrade your weapons, etc. Good story, not as scary as I would hope, but very good.

I think “Infamous” is going to be similar:
