Right?!
She wanted to be. They went with Rhona Mitra…which ain’t bad but I liked Kate.
but kate is wisemans wife! how can they dump her? i hate it when films change cast for sequels and things
This is getting confusing. Kate herself stated that she’s not in because Selene isn’t in there (Prequel).
Does Rhona play a different Char or did you read somewhere that she’s to play Selene?
She doesn’t play Seline. I think Seline would be a little girl at best in a prequel. Her family was eaten by the lead Vampire and the she alone was turned…but that was after the feud had already begun.
That’s what I thought and read as well.
So, do you have any info on Mitra’s role?
I want Emilia in there again… In full armor please.
And maybe without, teeheehee.

Which is why I might burn down the theater if Ironman 2 takes a hit for dumping Terrence Howard.
Favreau is still directing and Cheadle is a one hell of an actor. I don’t think IM2 is going to miss a step.

See, that’s why I have a problem with such statements. Cheadle is a GREAT actor and he is actually one of my favorites, but…
This is akin to picking individual pieces to decorate a home, all beautiful in their own right, but not having the element of style/taste when it comes to putting it all together.
The constituents can be great, but how do they mesh together? I thought the cast of Iron Man was excellent. Imagine if they had changed up the case for the third film of the LOTR series.

I agree. I thought they needed someone more “filled out” to even fit the part of who will soon be War Machine (Terrance Howard fit that part well). I have a hard time seeing Cheadle as an action hero…but then, people talked shit about Downy Jr. as if he couldn’t pull it off.

Realized that she’ll be playing Sonya or whatever her name is…
You were basically raised on the Shit end of the Toonami era.
DBZ, Hokuto No Ken, Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory, Ronin Warriors, Berserk, and Sailor Moo…G.I. Joe…
Slap your self! First, I love DBZ as much as anyone but it is not the greatest show of all time, and I didnt say any thing about it b/c it didnt fit what the man was asking for. Lets face it the story is not that good, there is no romance in it. Its just got badass characters and badass fights.
And all the show you mention were on LONG b4 Toonami. I remember writing Cartoon Network when Toonami first came on asking them to put shows like Ronin Warriors and DBZ on b/c I had seen them years earlier.
Just b/c you had your first experience with shows like these dosent mean my self or anyone else did. Hell BDZ came on Fox at 6am in the early 90s. And if you think any one of the show you named is better than Rurouni Kenshin, slap your self again.
I have watched a couple of episodes of the Wandering Samurai (Ruroini Kenshi I think) that was suggested before by Himora22 now. Thats one awesome show I can say!! Thanks
I watched it dubbed, but its pretty strange how he says “…that I do” after almost every single sentence lol
And is the samurai super-natural? Or is he just a really great fighter?

Honestly I think you are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t watch Samurai X (Trust & Betrayal) first. It really shapes the character and you realize why he is trying so hard not to kill.

Speaking of armor, I just found a pic of Rhona Mitra getting ready for war in Underworld 3. Looks verypromising…

Rhona plays the daughter of Viktor, but I can’t remember her name right now. The whole story that will be told in the this film was briefly touched upon in the first film.
In the first film Michael is bitten by Lucian (the werewolf leader played by Michael Sheen) and Michael sees a flashback of Lucian’s life. Then Lucian tells Michael the missing details of the story:
At one time the werewolves got along with the vampires and were their daytime guardians. Then Lucian fell in love with a vampire (Viktor’s daughter), and she got pregnant. Lucian was forced to watch her burn alive by Viktor because Viktor didn’t want there to ever be a cross-breed, effectively starting this whole werewolf-vampire war.
CHRIST!! I went to IGN to find the trailer for Taken and the new Street Fighter movie poster was the first thing I saw. I think this one might be as bad as the first one.
Also looks like The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Hellboy 2 are in the running for Oscar nods for Visual effects along with some other movies. As great as the Dark Knight was, Iron Man easily had the better visuals. The scene with the F-22s was one of the best scenes ever in a movie(visualy).

No but I think Street Fighter is one of those franchises, like Dragon Ball, that no matter how you do them b/c they are so fantastical they just dont translate well. And why Chun-Li? If you were going to do a “coming of age” or “finding ones self” type of story then why not do Ryu and Ken, who are much better characters.
Then also look at movies like this that star “strong” women, movies like Blood Rayn, Electra, Ultra Violet and Eon Flux. I think Underworld is the one good movie that I would group with this type of movie but the 2nd one was not as good as the first.
Neal McDonough as M. Bison is just as bad as casting Raul Julia. This is going to kill any chance this franchise has for future movies.

I was looking around imdb at the casting and thought…wtf at M. Bison as well. Oh well I’ll probably catch it in the theaters as when it comes out I’ll be off at BOLC in Benning and I’m too old and married to do what all the other LT’s will be doing, heh.
Ultra Violet was AWFUL. UGH. Cool visuals…that’s about the best thing I can say about the movie.
I have to admit, I’m a little bummed by this news. I’ve subscribed to EGM for years and it’ll be sad to see it go.
I know you can read all the reviews and such online, but still, there was something tangible with the print product that you just can’t get from a website.
