I don’t own the patent as her momma’s got that…I own the rights.

It’s possible the alien “army” Loki has in The Avengers film might be the Badoon, a race who took over the Earth in the future and led to the formation of future Gaurdians of the Galaxy. In the linked article two fans tweet a desire for a movie about the future heros. Just my thoughts I don’t see them introducing the Skrulls yet with Loki as the main villian.

Kevin Feige said some time ago that the the mystery army wouldn’t be Skrull:
I heard that Fox got The Skrulls as part of the Fantastic Four deal, and even though Fox aren’t renewing the contract, I don’t think the FF rights have reverted to Marvel… yet. Blade is back with Marvel now, so they may opt to “continue” the franchise with a fresh-out-of-jail Wesley Snipes.

Me too. They blamed Snipes’ “difficult attitude” for why Blade: Trinity under performed, but the real reason is that they pushed the lead actor out of his own movie so they could set up a Nightstalkers franchise that never happened - largely because they screwed the series through greed , and it backfired.
Ryan Reynolds got the lion’s share of the dialogue (most of which he made up). He and Parker Posey were allowed to improvise (aka bullshit) their way to far bigger roles than were written for them and it shows.

I had read a bunch of rumors about the aliens being Skrulls and they are green, but I figured they wouldn’t waste the Skrulls a major group on cannon fodder

I’m banking on the army being another one of Loki’s diversions; just the next phase in a greater plan.
Stopping at ruling or destroying the world is a little under-ambitious for him.

They nearly set Morbius up as the main villain for Blade 2. It’s one of the deleted scenes on the Blade DVD (Morbius is the mysterious figure clothed in rags watching Blade):
^Poor quality clip, but was the best I could find on Youtube.

Looking at it from another point of view, Loki engineered everything in Thor from the start (reigniting the Frost Giant war, to Thor’s banishment, to the destruction of the Bifrost Bridge) so he could fake his own death and seek the CC unhindered.
He sought the Cube to raise the army. There’ll be plenty of carnage on the way, but I don’t think his endgame is “just” to conquer Earth. He could have been king of Asgard.

There’s a clip actually in the film in the hospital where blade smells someone like they don’t smell right, that’s supposed to be morbius too.

I jp st wish they’d let nerds watch more of this stuff so we can fix it. It was actually a funny experience I was sitting at a mall food court age of apocalypse when this dude came up to me and asked if I wanted to preview a movie called blade. I thought he wanted to molest me I was 18-19 at the time

Blade was supporting cast in his own movie…and they killed the chemistry between him and the old man.
That shit was nothing but a vehicle for Reynolds and Biel.
I hope ruining one of the better super heroes of the last two decades was worth it. Any time you get away with both the original and sequel being nearly equally good, you are onto something.
Then money gets in the way.

No, they shouldn’t let nerds fix these movies. Not when they are apparently responsible for getting Morbius written out of the franchise.

Mmm… me think Ridley’s not telling us everything. I still hope he is lying. I really really want Promotheus to be a Aliens prequel. There are so many clues in the trailers that give that impression.
