Reynolds appears to be hit and miss. He’s great for comedic non serious roles, but he doesn’t appear to always do the serious, vulnerable guy well. I haven’t seen Buried. He seemed good at the end of Smokin Aces. I also thought he was good in Safe House. Playing a serious character that was afraid of Denzel Washington’s character. But he totally missed the mark in Green Lantern, I think. Just wasn’t believable. But I guess that could also be because they didn’t do much to expand on his character to make him more believable and make you understand what he was going through.

I give them a pass on Chris Evans because he has managed to embrace that character. He was the only Fantastic Four member done completely right in the movie also. In cases like that, i think they just went with who filled the role best.
Reynolds tends to irritate me. I just don’t see all of the “talent” everyone else see…but I didn’t see Buried yet.[/quote]
I like Chris Evans as an actor, does a great job in indie films as well. He made a great Torch and he made a great Steve Rogers. My issue is that I do not find him convincing in the Captain America suit. The way he handles himself and they way he sounds…not Cap to me. So great Steve Rogers, but Cap, not so much. HOWEVER, both Captain America and the Avengers were great movies so I am certainly not bitching too much.

He would be a better Guy Gardner imo? He can act like a funny d-bag really well. I think Chris Pine would be a good fit for Rayner.

I have to agree about the Cap America thing. He got the “man before soldier serum” part perfect. he does not seem to have “solid leader who commands respect just walking into a room” down yet. They needed Liam Neeson with an American accent and a face like an NFL quarterback.

Maybe not familiar with him. But yeah he can play a funny douchebag well. I think that’s why they are trying to get him in a Deadpool movie even after what happened in Wolverine.

I don’t think they can push him as a serious leader until they get him up to speed with the modern world. The air of naivete totally undermines any attempt at making him a figure worthy of respect. It fitted in with the evolution of the character, but Steve Rogers shouldn’t have problems switching on a Sega Megadrive forever.

Not familiar with Pine or Reynolds? Pine was Captain Kirk in Star Trek.
I meant not familiar with Guy Gardner.

No.
Every story will now have a ninja chick. Including the Three Muskateers.
For this reason I cannot wait for another version of Of Mice and Men to hit the big screen.
Lenny is gonna have to work to accidently kill her this time.

Orion,
I don’t know what that means.
If it was wondering what the hell I wrote about it was a Steinbeck reference.
Plot summery:
If you are in Austria, I have no idea how much the reference translates. It certainly isn’t “Pop” culture anymore.

I am deeply hurt that you do not think that I have read Of Mice and Men.
I would challenge you to a duel if you had not crushed my spirits that much.
Alot of English people seem to be getting butt hurt about AC3 being focused on killing british soldiers. I think its pretty funny as I’ve never heard about German or Russian people giving out about it but as soon as English are getting killed, its terrible.

It’s English people nobody listens to those whiners anyway.

Well, if you want to hear us whine, ask us what kind of “German” those evil, evil Nazis speak.
Makes one weep.
Band of Brothers was better, but there were English expressions in there that cannot be translated literally which is doubly odd if it is delivered in flawless German.

I guess that certain historical event never happened…just like the Holocaust didn’t happen either :-? Sensitive fucks.

I’m pretty sure Germany has banned games because of Nazi references (pretty sure game developers are asked to remove them and have refused). Pretending like something didn’t happen and banning games that acknowledge it did happen seems worse to me.
Some middle eastern countries have banned Modern Warfare and other games due to their “unfavorable” portrayal of Arab people.
I think the “No Russian” level in Modern Warfare 2 was actually removed from the Russian release of the game preemptively by Activision.
I highly doubt the UK would outright ban the game. Also, I thought I had read some of the founding fathers are going to be portrayed as Templars, so I can’t see how this is going to be an “America, FUCK YEAH!” game.

I really didn’t understand what you meant.
You have Austria under your avatar, and I had no idea how far Steinbeck had traveled. “Great American Novel” may get you fuck all in Europe, I wouldn’t know. I read a “Great South African Novel”, but I am pretty damn jingoistic with literature, for no good reason save the Russian stuff which I legitimately don’t care for, and wouldn’t begrudge anyone else being the same.

??? - This is me, thinking about whether OF Mice3 and Men would have been better with a female ninja…
!!! - This is me, coming to the conclusion, that yes, that could have worked.
Tip to all the geeks out there: There are some Korean sellers that essentially take panels that would have gone into Apples Cinema/Thunderbolt display but had a tiny flaw, make a simple screen out of them and sell them for about 300 dollars with shipping. 2560x1440 glossy S-IPS diplay for a very good price. Got mine Friday and although it has one dead pixel I’m extremely happy with it. Next to my old 1080p display.

Nice! I just hope it doesn’t catch fire.
