I saw this at my local store last Wednesday it’s a reprint of Avengers 1 but it’s on glossy paper and the art is cleaned up a little and I have to say if I wasn’t a Kirby fan before this would have made me one. Nice little pick up if you want to read how the Avengers formed in the comics

No.
Every story will now have a ninja chick. Including the Three Muskateers.

Already happened. Twice:
I even have a Hollywood-friendly name for high concept ‘re-imaginings’ of classic literature: ‘C-lit’, or ‘clit’ for short.

I was thinking of the 2011 abortion when I wrote the post.

My God I thought you were joking!
I can’t tell you how much I hate that shit.
I mean James Bond and Indiana Jones never did stuff anywhere near that level of superninja wizard-type stuff and it’s just silly to have…ah forget it…the 17 year-old virgins love it I guess.

I was really hoping that the 2011 film would take a hint from Braveheart, The Last Samurai, etc. and give me a Three Musketeers film where the sword work was like the final dual in Rob Roy
Instead we got:
Yay.

Ehehehe, a Drake female version. Looking good.
And now I know that Lara was a late bloomer.

That movie was an abomination. WOrse than the 1993 version.
Dumas must have rolled in his grave.

Ah. Your post made it sound like they were yet to make one. I’m looking forward to Michael Bay’s take on The Scarlet Pimperel: a heroic shape-shifting alien fights a clandestine war against reptilian overlords who are trying to conquer the planet starting with France.
At least Michael Bay doesn’t have the sexy girl kicking whole SWAT team’s asses.
He just has Shia LaBeouf saying “Nonononononono!” all the time.

Masterful. How does he come up with those ad-libs?

Bay’s female characters are typically hot, bubble headed and dependent on men. I wonder what type of woman he goes for in real life?

Hook him up to a generator. He is spinning enough to light a few blocks.
It has been a while, but going by my steel trap of a mind(a cruel anachronism that is prone to rust), I thought Dumas made a point that even as good as they were the musketeers would succumb when outnumbered. I thought it was a big part of why D’Artagnan throwing in with them was so important.

Way to go.
Now that is out there. I am Bay has a computer set up to catch such ideas.
In fairness I would watch that movie as long as it was only “based”/“inspired” on the source material, and called something else. The difference between watching “Sons of Anarchy” vs it being called “Hamlet” seems to strike me as important.
